And so the battle continues with Shelly the Shellder replacing Charcoal the Embirch. Pika begins by loading one of his water balloons into the cannon while Elphaba picks up two flaming rocks, Shelly grabs the anvil and Glinda picks up the last flaming rock.

Elphaba then throws one of her flaming rocks at Pika with all her might. She lands a critical hit, but the Pichu's hard hat protects it from some of the damage. However, that throw drained the last of Elphaba's energy and she drops to the ground, dropping her other flaming rock in the process. Shelly hurls the anvil at Glinda, catching her by surprise and causing her to flinch. Pika shows no mercy and fires the cannon, launching the water balloon at Glinda.

The round ends with Glinda picking up a can of Crit-a-Cola and Pika lobbing the last water balloon at her. Shelly runs up to her to put her off but this doesn't really accomplish much.

A few new objects appear this round: a gavel and a table appear. The gavel might make a nice little weapon and the table could probably be used for cover. On the table, however, is a pair of magic wands. Maybe these pokemon will dabble a bit in sorcery.

The magic wands have caught the eyes of the four pokemon. Pika and Fiyero each grab one wand, while Shelly is too slow to pick one up. Glinda, meanwhile, drinks her Crit-a-Cola and feels pumped up. She's ready to dish out some pain.

Pika and Fiyero cast some spells with their wands. Pika's wand shoots out some magical leaves, but Fiyero's wand seems to have some of Fiyero's natural energy in it and the spell has no elemental properties. It's a bit stronger than Pika's one though. As Shelly tries fruitlessly to cast a spell, Glinda throws her flaming rock at Pika. It doesn't burn the Pichu though and the hard hat took part of the blow.

Pika and Fiyero then cast the exact same spells with their wands while Shelly struggles once again to do something. Then Glinda lobs her empty Crit-a-Cola can and hits Pika again. Eventually that hard hat is going to break.

This time, only two new items appear. The first is a needle, which three of the four pokemon don't appear to know how to use. The second, however ... it's DA BOMB! And it's landed right in Glinda's hand! This is surely going to have an effect on the battle!

Fiyero, deactivate Normalize, and blast the everloving fuck out of Shellder. If Pichu chills, sub that action for shooting Pichu instead.

Glinda, pass DA BOMB to Pichu/Shellder, then pick up the gavel, and bash the crap out of him. If he tries to pass you DA BOMB, pass it right back.

The round begins with the Pichu trying to relax, but it only seems to wear him out more. I guess Puffins forgot that chills were banned in this match. Fiyero casts another spell, this time on Shelly, but it turns out to be an ice spell that the Shellder shrugs off with relative ease. Shelly picks up the needle while Glinda gives DA BOMB to Pika. It doesn't explode yet though.

Fiyero continues the magic assault on Shelly, this time casting a poison spell on her, while Pika casts a spell on Fiyero. The icy blast does some damage but Pika drops to the ground after casting that spell. He's just too tired to continue. As he drops to the ground, DA BOMB rolls up and into Fiyero's spare hand! The hard hat and magic wand Pika was using just fall on the ground and don't move. Shelly gets the idea to stab herself with the needle. This takes a lot of energy and causes her intense pain ... and there doesn't seem to be any effect. Glinda, meanwhile, picks up the gavel while Fiyero breathes a sigh of relief as the bomb does not explode in his hands.

Then Fiyero and Glinda gang up on Shelly. Fiyero casts another spell, this time of the electric variety. It looks like it's going to miss by a mile ... until somehow the spell is drawn to the needle embedded in Shelly! The electric energy travels through the needle and into Shelly's body, causing her even more pain! Shelly is wondering how to pick up the gavel when suddenly Glinda bashes her with it, though even under the effects of Crit-a-Cola, the Happiny does hardly any damage with the weapon.

As the round ends, the cannon slowly descends into the pond until it is no more. A sheep wanders into the park, looking seemingly innocent until you notice the fuse on it. It's a walking bomb disguised as a sheep! The sheep brought with it another explosive: a Holy Hand Grenade! Finally, something new rises up from the pond. It's Libra's scales of justice - perhaps those who have been wronged might get a second chance at justice.

The four pokemon continue to struggle, including having to deal with DA BOMB, but Shelly is having more trouble than the rest as she tries to remove the needle, but only tires herself out. Prv.Buck feels that he can pick up where Pika left off and picks up the magic wand, while Glinda bashes him with the gavel, scoring two critical hits thanks to the Crit-a-Cola ... which seems to be wearing off now. Finally, Fiyero passes DA BOMB to Shelly, hoping that it will explode in her ... hands? Well, it doesn't.

Disappointed, Fiyero casts a spell on Shelly but it turns out to be a water spell, which Shelly is able to resist. However, in her efforts to protect her ally from any attacks, Shelly has forgotten that she is tiny and Prv.Buck is ... well, not so tiny. The Privatyke tries some magic on Fiyero and casts a poison spell on him, while Glinda tries to chill but fails.

Fiyero finishes off Shelly with one more spell, this time a dark one, while Prv.Buck casts a more fiery spell on the Voodoll. Glinda uses the last of her energy to smash the gavel in Prv.Buck's face five times and even scores one critical hit! However, DA BOMB has found its way back into Fiyero's hands and Glinda drops to the ground exhausted, dropping her gavel too. Now it's down to this: a DA BOMB-holding Fiyero and whatever comes out next against Prv.Buck and his magic wand.

As the round draws to a close, some more of Team Fortress 2's characters enter the arena. A RED Spy is trying to flee from a BLU Medic, who in turn is being pursued by a RED Heavy. Eventually, they all catch up with each other and get into a brawl, but in the process, two Killing Gloves of Boxing, one Dead Ringer and a Medigun are knocked flying into the arena. Who knows what uses these items might have?

Team Puffins is looking like it's having trouble. Prv.Buck casts another spell on Fiyero, but it's a dark spell which he resists. Brrr sees the Holy Hand Grenade and picks it up quickly while Fiyero passes DA BOMB to his lone opponent.

And then the sparks fly between Fiyero and Prv.Buck, each of them casting spells at each other. Overall, Fiyero's were more effective than Prv.Buck's, but the Privatyke gets so caught up in the magic that he doesn't notice Brrr throwing the Holy Hand Grenade at him! It won't explode yet but it will soon.

Fiyero goes for one last spell, which, although powerful, drains the Voodoll of energy and causes him to faint and drop his wand. Prv.Buck casts a psychic spell on Brrr, disturbing him a little but not by much as he picks up the gavel. Then, all of a sudden, there is a hallelujah followed by an explosion. But it's not DA BOMB. It's the Holy Hand Grenade, but it did a lot of damage to Prv.Buck. And at such low energy, is there anything the Privatyke can do to win?

Well, whoever's coming up with these objects thinks so, because nothing new appears in the arena. Perhaps there is an item somewhere on the ground that Prv.Buck can use to even the odds.

The last two pokemon standing seem dead set on their strategies: Prv.Buck continues casting spells while Brrr bashes him over and over again with the gavel and it is ultimately the Privatyke who comes off second best. The energy exerted in casting spells over and over again has finally taken its toll on him (though more gavel bashes would've had the same effect). Brrr has won the match for Son_of_Shadoo!

Also, I will now reveal the predetermined but unknown effects of the items left over.

  • Apple: when eaten, sends the pokemon to sleep for 3 actions.
  • Gavel + table: annuls all remaining actions on all pokemon for the rest of the round (one lot of end of action effects and any end of round effects will still occur).
  • Libra's scales of justice: splits the total HP and energy of all remaining pokemon (including those on the bench) 50:50 between both trainers and then equally among the pokemon on each team, sort of like a global Pain Split that also works on energy. This could've saved your ass late-game Puffins.

Anyway, on to the prizes. Working out KOCs was hard because of the sheer number of energy KOs but I think I got this right.
