Weather Wars- Hope You Brought an Umbrella!

Annnnnnd we're back with another edition Weather Wars. This time Team Amon Amarth will be taking their wintery shenanigans to the rainy city otherwise known as Driftveil, blaring melodeath as they go. Team Amon Amarth has undergone some slight line up changes in preparation for it's next encounter- and this time it's a Drizzle team, which you gotta love/hate. Sit back, grab some popcorn (and a poncho), and enjoy the show.

The Contestants (in order of appearance):

TEAM AMON AMARTH

TEAM UNIMAGINATIVE NAME

Good evening Ladies and Gents; I'm your host Brian Sanders, bringing you another edition of Weather Wars, where weather conditions are pitted against each other to see who will triumph! Upon first look of the line ups, we can see this will be a very wet battle, with the solid and liquid forms of water pitted against each other? Who will prevail? Will the fluid rain eat away at the solid ice, or will it be pulverized into tiny droplets?

Team Amon Amarth is sporting some Hail standards, but most notably has two members almost unheard off- Regice and Gardevoir. Will they prove themselves useful, or will they demonstrate the precise reason why they are unheard off?

Team Unimaginative Name is in a similar vein. Most of it's members are Rain team staples, but the addition of a Lapras and Magnezone is most curious. Lapras is as equally obscure as Regice and Gardevoir, and we can expect some surprises from it. Magnezone is also a curious member, not because it's rare, in fact, they are quite common, but why should a Rain team need one? Perhaps it too, will be an interesting fight.

Unimaginative Name sent out Genesect!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Heatran!
The foe's Genesect's Download activates!
The foe's Genesect's Sp. Att. Rose!

Team Amon Amarth leads with a Heatran, while Team Unimaginative Name sends out Genesect. Heatran would normally be at a massive advantage here, but we all know how difficult it is to corner the tricky little bugger.

Start of turn 1
The foe's Genesect used U-turn!
It's not very effective...
Heatran lost 23 HP! (7% of its health)
Unimaginative Name called Genesect back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Politoed!

The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain!

Heatran used Dragon Pulse!
The foe's Politoed lost 27% of its health!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

And Genesect makes a quick get away, and it's team leader, Politoed, takes it's place, solidly walling Heatran, and threatening it with a Rain-boosted Hydro Pump, Surf, or Scald. Meanwhile, Team Amon Amarth has predicted the a switch and responded with a Dragon Pulse, but instead of meeting a Latios, it deals a small bit of damage to the incoming Politoed.

Start of turn 2
Team Amon Amarth called Heatran back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Abomasnow!

Abomasnow's Snow Warning whipped up a hailstorm!
The foe's Politoed used Scald!
It's not very effective...
Abomasnow lost 48 HP! (14% of its health)

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Politoed is buffeted by the hail!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Knowing Heatran can't possibly hope to overcome a Politoed, Team Amon Amarth sends out it's own team leader, Abomasnow, ushering in a new age of Hail, taking a Scald like a boss, and forcing Politoed out.

Start of turn 3
Unimaginative Name called Politoed back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Genesect!

The foe's Genesect's Download activates!
The foe's Genesect's Attack rose!
Abomasnow used Substitute!
Abomasnow made a substitute!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Genesect is buffeted by the hail!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Eager to make up for it's earlier cowardice, Genesect switches in on Abomasnow as it brings up a Substitute- Genesect can't touch Abomasnow for now, but Abomasnow can't do much better to Genesect.

Start of turn 4
The foe's Genesect used U-turn!
It's super effective!
Abomasnow's substitute faded!

Unimaginative Name called Genesect back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Latios!

Abomasnow used Giga Drain!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Latios lost 16% of its health!
The foe's Latios had its energy drained!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Latios is buffeted by the hail!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

And once more, Genesect flees, this time bringing in Latios, a monster of a threat. Some Pokemon put bullet holes in their opposition. Latios? It riddles them with craters. Literally. Perhaps Abomasnow could weather a hit and respond in turn with a Blizzard, but we'll never know because...

Start of turn 5
Team Amon Amarth called Abomasnow back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Regice!

The foe's Latios used Draco Meteor!
Regice lost 225 HP! (61% of its health)
The foe's Latios's Sp. Att. sharply fell!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Latios is buffeted by the hail!
Regice's Ice Body heals it!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

In comes the Team Amon Amarth MVP, Regice. Regice used to reign supreme, but recent additions to the battlefield have rendered it obsolete- or so we thought! Remarkably, this little UU leaguer has proven it's worth in many battles, and this is no exception. It takes just 61% from a Latios's Draco Meteor. That may seem like a lot, but folks, keep in mind that Regice does not resist Dragon attacks, and for most Pokemon, that means a death sentence.

Start of turn 6
Unimaginative Name called Latios back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Politoed!

The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain!
Regice used Substitute!
Regice made a substitute!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

It seems like Latios exerted too much energy in it's attack, and now it must retreat to catch it's breath; it is replaced once again by Politoed, who can take any Ice attacks easily. However, Regice gets a sub up, which will make it difficult for Politoed to take down- but that fight is not now.

Start of turn 7
Unimaginative Name called Politoed back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Lapras!

Regice used Protect!
But it failed!

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Instead of facing the overgrown ice cube, Politoed opts to let the new blood, Lapras take it's place. Politoed did however, make one crucial move- it replaced the Hail with Rain, significantly reducing Regice's abilities. Regice protects itself in anticipation, but it is for naught.

Start of turn 8
The foe's Lapras used Dragon Dance!
The foe's Lapras's Attack rose!
The foe's Lapras's Speed rose!

Regice used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
The foe's Lapras lost 36% of its health!

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Lapras will take next to nothing from Regice's Ice attacks, but this particular Regice knows how to use Thunderbolt, which gives it impressive coverage when paired with Blizzard, and will allow it to take down this Lapras as it... dances?

Start of turn 9
The foe's Lapras used Dragon Dance!
The foe's Lapras's Attack rose!
The foe's Lapras's Speed rose!

Regice used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
The foe's Lapras lost 34% of its health!

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Lapras continues to dance even as lightning surges through it's body- that's dedication folks, perhaps it should become a cheerleader. Nah, not pretty enough for that. Where was I? Oh yeah, Lapras is starting to look weary and...

Start of turn 10
The foe's Lapras used Rest!
The foe's Lapras went to sleep and became healthy!

Regice used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
The foe's Lapras lost 37% of its health!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Lapras's Hydration heals its status!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

It takes a nap, well folks, you can't keep going for ever (or so she said), and as the final blow is poised to fry it... I DONT BELIEVE IT! Ladies and gentlemen, Lapras fully recovers it's health and it is back in the game, that was a quick nap too, must not like sleeping in the rain, heh. Regice lands another lightning bolt on Lapras, but it looks like it's a gonner.

Start of turn 11
The foe's Lapras used Return!
A critical hit!
Regice's substitute faded!
The foe's Lapras is hurt by its Life Orb!

Regice used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
The foe's Lapras lost 36% of its health!

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Lapras is fighting back with all it's might, shattering Regice's substitute even as it is shocked once again. Looks like it's the end of the line for Regice, who can't possibly take a double power Return.

Start of turn 12
The foe's Lapras used Return!
Regice lost 178 HP! (48% of its health)
The foe's Lapras is hurt by its Life Orb!

Regice used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
The foe's Lapras lost 5% of its health!
The foe's Lapras fainted!

Amazingly, Regice tanks the hit and takes Lapras to the watery depths of Davy Jone's locker- the two underdogs have faced each other and it is clear that both are effective- but Regice edges out it's flippery foe, though only just barely.

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Unimaginative Name sent out Genesect!

The foe's Genesect's Download activates!
The foe's Genesect's Attack rose!

And Genesect comes in to avenged it's fallen comrade- or is it? We have all witness first hand that Genesect has no taste for one-on-one combat, the coward.

Start of turn 13
Regice used Protect!
Regice protected itself!

The foe's Genesect used U-turn!
Regice protected itself!

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

And Regice, giving Genesect's courage (or lack thereof) the benefit of the doubt, shield itself from the incoming hit... ironically preventing Genesect from running back to the bench.

Start of turn 14
Team Amon Amarth called Regice back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Nidoqueen!

The foe's Genesect used U-turn!
It's not very effective...

Nidoqueen lost 111 HP! (28% of its health)
Unimaginative Name called Genesect back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Latios!

Rain continues to fall!
Nidoqueen restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Team Amon Amarth opts to send? Nidoqueen, another minor leaguer to face Genesect, who flees even at that sight. Latios comes in, threatening to obliterate whoever dares incur it's wrath.

Start of turn 15
Team Amon Amarth called Nidoqueen back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Heatran!

The foe's Latios used Draco Meteor!
It's not very effective...
Heatran lost 210 HP! (64% of its health)
The foe's Latios's Sp. Att. sharply fell!

Rain continues to fall!

Heatran replaces Nidoqueen, and takes the Draco Meteor, but it is severely injured in the proccess.

Start of turn 16
Team Amon Amarth called Heatran back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Abomasnow!

Abomasnow's Snow Warning whipped up a hailstorm!
Unimaginative Name called Latios back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Zapdos!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Zapdos is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Zapdos restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

It seems that both teams are not happy with the situation, and opt to front a different member. Team Amon Amarth sends in its leader to once more bring the weather in it's benefit, whereas Team Unimaginative Name decides that Zapdos is it's best bet.

Start of turn 17
Unimaginative Name called Zapdos back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Genesect!

The foe's Genesect's Download activates!

It's not very effective...
The foe's Genesect lost 38% of its health!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Genesect is buffeted by the hail!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Zapdos, not keen on suffering from frost bite, allows Genesect to take it's place, and the hit is only reasonable effective.

Start of turn 18
Team Amon Amarth called Abomasnow back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Heatran!

The foe's Genesect used U-turn!
It's not very effective...
Heatran lost 33 HP! (10% of its health)
Unimaginative Name called Genesect back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Politoed!

The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Once again Genesect runs from the scene to a battler who actually has some balls. It tries to smack Heatran on the way out, but folks, if you've ever tried to smack a hunk of molten steel... yeah it's not too effective.

Start of turn 19
Team Amon Amarth called Heatran back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Abomasnow!

Abomasnow's Snow Warning whipped up a hailstorm!
The foe's Politoed used Scald!

The foe's Politoed is buffeted by the hail!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Abomasnow is hurt by its burn!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

And once again, Politoed his faced with the snow tree, but this time it manages to burn it... and even though Abomasnow isn't afraid of water, it does not like burns at all. You know how hard it is to apply aloe vera, what with all that... fur?

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Magnezone is buffeted by the hail!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Abomasnow is hurt by its burn!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Genesect flees YET AGAIN, breaking Abomasnow's Substitute in the process. Magnezone is an interesting choice, but it does wall Abomasnow quite nicely and can threaten with an HP Fire- perhaps Magnezone is there to trap enemy Ferrothorn, who plague rain teams.

Start of turn 22
Team Amon Amarth called Abomasnow back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Gardevoir!

The foe's Magnezone used Hidden Power!
It's not very effective...
Gardevoir lost 36 HP! (11% of its health)

Gardevoir is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Gardevoir restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

And in comes the classy lady herself, gracing the battlefield with her under loved presence. While Gardevoir generally cannot do anything to touch Magnezone, Magnezone will likewise have a difficult time bringing Gardevoir down.

Start of turn 23
The foe's Magnezone used Charge Beam!
Gardevoir lost 79 HP! (25% of its health)
The foe's Magnezone's Sp. Att. rose!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Magnezone is buffeted by the hail!
Gardevoir is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Gardevoir restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Magnezone continues to do little damage to Gardevoir as she heals her team; Abomasnow is no longer burned, which will greatly help it's capabilties.

Start of turn 24
The foe's Magnezone used Thunder!
Gardevoir lost 189 HP! (62% of its health)
Gardevoir fainted!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Magnezone is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

And... WOAH. Out of nowhere, Magnezone gets a lucky hit from an unexpected Thunder, bringing Gardevoir down, before she can make a Wish.

Start of turn 25

Unimaginative Name sent out Politoed!

Starmie used Surf!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Politoed lost 29% of its health!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Starmie replaces it's fallen ally's place on the battlefield, but as it sends a wave crashing down on the king troll itself (my Gardevoir is a Mormon, see), Politoed comes in to intercept the hit, and takes a decent hit from the wave, due to the rain it summoned upon its arrival.

Start of turn 26
Team Amon Amarth called Starmie back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Abomasnow!

Abomasnow's Snow Warning whipped up a hailstorm!
The foe's Politoed used Toxic!

Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Abomasnow is hurt by poison!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

It looks like Abomasnow attracts status like Justin Bieber attracts fan girls. At any rate, Politoed can't face Abomasnow on even footing, so Magnezone comes in once again.

Start of turn 27
Unimaginative Name called Politoed back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Magnezone!

Abomasnow used Giga Drain!

Abomasnow is hurt by poison!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

This is where running Max SpA, even on a defensive snow tree comes in handy, 21% really is not a lot, but Magnezone can't continue to take hits like that, especially as the hail comes pelting on it's hard body.

Start of turn 28
Team Amon Amarth called Abomasnow back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Nidoqueen!

The foe's Magnezone used Hidden Power!
It's not very effective...
Nidoqueen lost 48 HP! (12% of its health)

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Magnezone is buffeted by the hail!
Nidoqueen is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Nidoqueen restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Abomasnow can't take on Magnezone, but Nidoqueen can, so in it comes. Magnezone unleashes it's Hidden Power, but it is not as effective on Nidoqueen as one would expect- Magnezone almost always have Hidden Powers manifest as Fire, Ice, or Grass attacks- so what is this odd edition? Perhaps it is Fighting, which would allow it to hit Ferrothorn hard even under rain conditions?

Start of turn 29
Unimaginative Name called Magnezone back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Zapdos!

Nidoqueen used Blizzard!
It's super effective!
The foe's Zapdos lost 40% of its health!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Zapdos is buffeted by the hail!
Nidoqueen is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Zapdos restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Nidoqueen restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

This folks, is where it minor leaguers have an advantage- surprise. Team Unimaginative Name, most likely expecting an Earthquake or Earth Power, sends in Zapdos, who instead eats a predicted Blizzard. And folks, even though Nidoqueen isn't very powerful, that still has got to hurt.

Start of turn 30
The foe's Zapdos used Hidden Power!
It's super effective!
Nidoqueen lost 140 HP! (36% of its health)

Nidoqueen used Flamethrower!
The foe's Zapdos lost 16% of its health!

However, Zapdos is not out for the count, it fights back with a Hidden Power (Ice), which takes a nice chunk of Nidoqueen's health off. Nidoqueen attempts to use a Flamethrower, hoping to incinerate Genesect on the switch, but Genesect still doesn't have the balls to face Nidoqueen.

The foe's Zapdos restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Rather than face certain death at the hands of the thunder bird, Nidoqueen hands it's spot over to Heatran, who, despite being weak, takes very little damage from Hidden Power and threatens to finish Zapdos off.

Start of turn 32

The foe's Zapdos is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Zapdos restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Start of turn 33
The foe's Zapdos used Roost!
The foe's Zapdos landed on the ground!

Abomasnow comes in to face down Zapdos, who, thank God, no longer consistently runs Heat Wave. Looks like I win that bet. It flees even thought it could very likely have swept it's opposition by now, instead, it once again asks for Politoed to replace it. I have a theory that Genesect secretly resents Politoeds for being more lovable than it, so it constantly sends them to the front lines to die.

Stealth Rocks are up on Team Unimaginative Name's field for the rest of the game

Start of turn 41
The foe's Latios used Draco Meteor!
The attack of the foe's Latios missed!

Regice used Blizzard!
It's super effective!
The foe's Latios lost 47% of its health!
The foe's Latios fainted!

HOLY FLIPPING EGYPTIAN LLAMAS I DO NOT BELIEVE IT! Latios misses and is taken down by Regice's Blizzard, and Team Amon Amarth is back in the game.

Hail continues to fall!
Regice's Ice Body heals it!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Unimaginative Name sent out Genesect!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Genesect!

The foe's Genesect's Download activates!
The foe's Genesect's Attack rose!

However, Team Unimaginative Name takes advantage of this critical moment to send in their Genesect unchecked, and sadly enough, it STILL won't make a serious attempt to fight, even thought it could easily clean up here.

Start of turn 42
Regice used Protect!
Regice protected itself!

The foe's Genesect used U-turn!
Regice protected itself!

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Genesect is buffeted by the hail!
Regice's Ice Body heals it!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Regice now takes the opportunity to troll Genesect by protecting itself, forcing Genesect to endure another turn of hail damage, while it's opponent is healed.

Start of turn 43
The foe's Genesect used U-turn!
Regice lost 114 HP! (31% of its health)
Unimaginative Name called Genesect back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Politoed!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Politoed!

The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain!

Regice used Substitute!
Regice made a substitute!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Remember several turns back when Regice took down Lapras? Well it looks like Team Unimaginative Name still has not learned that Regice eats bulky waters for breakfast, that's why it has so much ice. It LITERALLY is what it eats, well, frozen version of what it eats.

Start of turn 44
The foe's Politoed used Scald!
Regice's substitute took the damage!

Regice used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
The foe's Politoed lost 38% of its health!
The foe's Politoed is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

As payback for burning Abomasnow, Politoed is paralyzed by the lightning bolts from Regice; Thor is with him.

Start of turn 45
Regice used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
The foe's Politoed lost 37% of its health!

The foe's Politoed used Scald!
Regice's substitute faded!

Rain continues to fall!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Politoed restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

You have to give Politoed credit for dedication, it continues to fight back even though it knows it can't win; perhaps it stole Genesect's balls, and that's why Genesect is out to kill it.

Start of turn 46
Unimaginative Name called Politoed back!
Unimaginative Name sent out Magnezone!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Magnezone!

Regice used Protect!
But it failed!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Dedicated or not, Politoed is in no shape to take down Regice, so Magnezone comes in. Magnezone can handle Regice quite nicely, especially since Politoed severed Regice's connection to it's life-giving hail.

Start of turn 47
The foe's Magnezone used Hidden Power!
It's super effective!
Regice lost 100 HP! (27% of its health)

Regice used Blizzard!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Magnezone lost 24% of its health!

Rain continues to fall!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Regice restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Regice, hoping it has a shot, sends a gust of freezing wind at it's foe, but it soon realizes it can't win. Starmie takes it's place, threatening to outspeed and finish Magnezone off.

Start of turn 48
Team Amon Amarth called Regice back!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Starmie!

The foe's Magnezone used Hidden Power!
It's not very effective...
Starmie lost 48 HP! (18% of its health)

Rain continues to fall!
Starmie restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Expecting Politoed to come in, Starmie summons Hail to the field, which would allow Regice to reign once again.

Start of turn 49
Starmie used Hail!
A hailstorm brewed!

The foe's Magnezone used Thunder!
It's super effective!
Starmie lost 230 HP! (87% of its health)
Starmie fainted!

Well folks, looks like this is it for Team Amon Amarth. Starmie has fallen to a well predicted shot, and nothing else on the wintery squad can handle Magnezone.

Hail continues to fall!
The foe's Magnezone is buffeted by the hail!
The foe's Magnezone restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Team Amon Amarth sent out Abomasnow!

Start of turn 50
Abomasnow used Blizzard!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Magnezone lost 32% of its health!
The foe's Magnezone fainted!

WHATS THIS?!?! Abomasnow outspeeds and finishes Magnezone off with it's Blizzard, but even still... the realization that Genesect will simply destroy the remnants of the team is not a pretty one.

Hail continues to fall!
Abomasnow restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Abomasnow is hurt by poison!
Unimaginative Name sent out Genesect!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Genesect!
The foe's Genesect fainted!

AND another bug bites the dust, and another one down, and another one.. err, moving on. Looks like Nidoqueen managed to kill Genesect after all, but in an unexpeccted way. You were right to fear the woods... or rocks rather.

Unimaginative Name sent out Politoed!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Politoed!

The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain!

ROUND 50 STATUS (yeah, I just had to)

Start of turn 51
Abomasnow used Giga Drain!
It's super effective!
The foe's Politoed lost 4% of its health!
The foe's Politoed fainted!
The foe's Politoed had its energy drained!

Team Unimaginative Name sends in it's final Pokemon, Team Leader Politoed. Even though the battle ends with the weather in his favor, Politoed is no match for Abomasnow, and succumbs to Giga Drain.

Team Amon Amarth won the battle!
Team Amon Amarth: You chose to stand and fight, and died with dignity

Well, now it's up to you to decide- what would YOU like to see in the next edition of weather wars? Sun? A non-weather team? A new tier? A change in Team Amon Amarth's lineup? What would you like to see improved? The battle, the commentary, the formating, something else? Which commentary style do you like best, the first person, or third? Your feedback is important, so don't hesitate to speak up!

Thanks for reading, and until next time, Team Amon Amarth out.

Stratos

Banned deucer.
i would prefer if you didn't just restate the previous turn so much. Even if you didn't, the third person commentary really made it seem like that's what you were doing.

I understand what you were trying to do with the third person announcer aspect, but it seems like you ran out of things to say quickly and the reusing of jokes let this warstory stray into stale territory. This was a long battle and probably not the best candidate for an outsider perspective style of warstory.

That D-Meteor missing seems to have played a pretty big role in the win. Just sayin'.

And the Starmie restarting Hail seemed like an odd move when he was bringing in Politoed almost exclusively to restart Rain. But hindsight is 20/20 and all that.

Otherwise I enjoyed it enough. Way to go Regice/Abomasnow :O

The thing is, he thought his opponent would switch to Politoed, thus making Hail get rid of Drizzle so their Toed switch-in would be useless.

I like your warstories, honestly I REALLY do. The thing is, if you want them to be viable then you need to add percentages (and hopefully pictures) every turn.

Also, I feel that between Genesect only using U-Turn instead of sweeping and Latias missing the draco meteor your battle was only a win on your side because of one final lucky moment (as opposed to one final good prediction).

The whole anouncer idea was cool though.

7.75/10

The third person commentary kinda pissed me off. It would have been better if you had explained your thought processes more, especially in the early stages of the match. Also, not much point restating what happened last turn in every turn of your comments.

I rather liked the announcer perspective, and though some of the comments were a restatement of the previous turn, your interesting team and quirky style of writing made this enjoyable and I was able to read through the whole thing (which doesn't often happen). 8/10

EDIT: Pictures help, and apparently the announcer thing isn't for everyone, so to please the masses, I'd suggest not doing it like that again. Still, I liked it, keep up the good work :p

Lacking commentary, meh battle and the lack of pics/HP% during the battle is never a good thing.

6/10

7/10 simply because you were smart and used a synchronize gardevoir. I would prefer trace, but you still managed to pull it off. Also because of the interesting spreads on Gardy and Regice. I dont recommend using 3rd person narration or restating your older thoughts, though. Just needs a little bit more though process so we know why you were doing what you were doing.

Just saying, but since Zapdos didn't have a Pressure activation it can't have Heat Wave.

Not to mention running it on a rain team would be incredibly weird.

That match seemed like a white knuckle ride, probably because I have unnecessary anxiety problems, but whatever. I really didn't expect you to win. The way I think about it, since Draco Misseor has 90% accuracy, somewhere in the world an attack with 10% accuracy hit at that moment.

Also,

You know how hard it is to apply aloe vera, what with all that... fur?fir
Fixed.

I'd like to see RU Sand Wars, 'cause RU has great warstories and I really like SS right now. Also, the references to the already read are a bit annoying and redundant, in this case.
