Team 1: Color Coded (OU)

First off, I'd like to point out that this is my first time ever experimenting with the fifth generation. Go easy on me :)
I was a bit hesitant to start into the new metagame, mostly because I had been working on abusing for my fourth gen PO team for quite some time. I was actually inspired by accident when I mis-selected the tier and ended up facing a fifth generation team.
The pokemon that inspired me to create a fifth gen team was the lead of someone I accidentally battled. I have always loved Ambipom, and this new one put mine to shame. Thus, the entire team was created upon a normal gem acrobatics Ambipom base.

Next I looked for something with nice physical bulk to cover up Ambipoms weak spot. I've always enjoyed walling with pokemon that, after setting up, can become a very serious attacking threat. This lead me to Regenerator Swords Dance Tangrowth.

Now I needed something to compensate for Tangrowth's weak special defense. Blissey and Chansey immediately shot across my mind, but the middling defense and moderate attack were somewhat unappealing. I then remembered Porygon2's ability to completely cripple Heatran (and now Chandelure) with use of trace. Coupled with an Eviolite, Porygon2 became my special wall.

Lacking a special attacker, I thought of Heatran. I worked between him and Chandelure for a while and settled with the latter for it's slightly higher speed and higher special attack.
This is one of the more variable slots on my team.

Always one to fall for stall teams, I decided I needed an immunity. Reuniclus, with access to hefty hp, good defenses, Calm Mind and a Physical attack in the form of Psyshock became the perfect candidate, and it is never a bad thing being able to roast Skarmory and Foretress with Hp Fire.

In need of something to help with my Bug weakness along with help with toxic stalling or para-spamming teams, I looked for a healer. The first was Scizor, with his toxic immunity and ability to wall and attack at the same time. He was soon tossed aside, however, due to his extremely similar performance with Tangrowth. Togekiss may seem like a weird option for a support pokemon, but it's immunity to Chandelures weaknesses, and resistance to Bug moves made it a viable option. Togekiss also boasts the rare combination of Heal bell / Aromatherapy and Encore.
This is both the newest and most variable slot on the team.

*All special attacking pokemon have minimum iv's in attack to allow minimum confusion damage.

(Ambipom) @ Normal Gem
Technician, Jolly
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
31/31/31/31/31/31
- Fake Out
- Acrobatics
- Low Sweep
- Taunt

I have always loved ambipom as a lead. It's fast, strong and packs major power with a stab Fake Out. Its new addition, Acrobatics, hits extremely hard on anything that doesn't resist it. The strategy is quite simple. Fake out if the pokemon doesn't resist it, then react accordingly. Low Kick can be used over Low Sweep for added power, but Tyranitar is already OHKO'd, unless maxed out in hp and defense (which is still usually a ko), by Low Sweep which also affords a speed decrease. This can be very helpful on pokmeon like Nasty Plot Tornadus, who I usually have some trouble with. Taunt cripples Ferrothorn who now has no other option but to Power Whip, which Tangrowth doesn't mind in the slightest.

(Tangrowth) @ Leftovers
Regenerator, Impish
148 HP / 196 Atk / 164 Def
31/31/31/31/31/31
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
- Power Whip

Usually step two, Tangrowth works best when brought on either a set up pokmeon or an identified physical attacker. A Swords dance can be hard to whip out, but can be done if you have identified all threats. If a Heatran is lurking, Earthquake is a sure OHKO unless an air balloon is equipped. Powerwhip OHKO's Swampert, while Poison Jab provides nearly perfect coverage, allowing neutral coverage for everything in the game. It also packs a nice surprise for unsuspecting Celebi. Tangrowths strategy can be a little odd, due to it's strange healing technique. Her only true dangers are super effective special attacks, which Porygon absorbs nicely.

(Chandelure) @ Choice Scarf
Flash Fire, Modest
4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
31/3/31/30/31/31 (iv's given for Electric)
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Electric/Ground

Chandelure is a favorite of mine. It basically functions as a slightly faster, slightly stronger, more frail Heatran. With this in mind, they both have their advantages. Earth power and Dragon Pulse are Heatrans biggest strengths over Chandelure, but Chandelure's typing allows her to ignore to fighting moves that are problematic for Porygon. Many teams may prefer Heatran, but I believe Chandelure is a more suited fit for my own.
Her strategy is fairly straight forward, and requires less prediction now that teams are revealed before hand. She functions similarly to revenge Jolteon and Gengar. Hidden power electric is for Gyarados who otherwise can give my team problems, and Ground is for the ever annoying Heatran. Shadow Ball is a OHKO on Reuniclus, and Energy ball is for all those pesky Swampert.

(Porygon2) @ Eviolite
Trace, Calm
196 HP / 60 Def / 252 SDef
31/2/31/30/30/31
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power Ground
- Toxic

Porygon is an interesting option over Blissey and should be calculated carefully. Vaporeon's Scald and Heatran's Fire Blast can otherwise be very problematic for my team, and an immunity to the two can prove very helpful. Porygon can't hope to kill Vaporeon, so HP ground is set to deal with Heatran. Porygon takes about 60% from Life Orb Draco Meteor from latios, and can easily retaliate with a OHKO Ice Beam. Salamence is ko'd as well, and Dragonite finds itself completely locked into roost when the two share their Multi Scale ability (thanks to trace).

(Reuniclus) @ Leftovers
Magic Guard, Bold
176 HP / 252 Def / 76 SDef / 4 Spd
31/2/31/30/31/30
- Psyshock
- Recover
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power Fire

Reuniclus is somewhat variable in his position. He either works with Tangrowth to make any stalling efforts useless, or can act as a strong physical wall capable of setting up his special side as well. With a few Calm Minds under his belt, Reuniclus hits just about everything hard, including Blissey thanks to Psyshock.

(Togekiss) @ Leftovers
Serene Grace, Bold
148 HP / 252 Def / 108 SDef
31/0/31/31/31/31
- Flamethrower
- Heal Bell
- Encore
- Roost

There isn't really much to say for Togekiss. She is the newest and has had very little testing. She is immune to Spikes and resists troublesome Ground, Ghost and Bug attacks, while threatening off most fighting types. Encore is useful to trap in Set Up mons, while Heal Bell and Roost keep her and her team healthy. Her rock weakness is helped by Tangrowth, and Reuniclus takes the Physical Ice moves while Porygon takes the Special.
Her slot is not at all concrete and suggestions are much appreciated.

The biggest threat my team has is Swords Dance Excadrill which, if boosted by sand, can easily tear through my entire team. X-Scizor, Earthquake and Rock Slide can OHKO almost everything save Porygon after a SD boost, unless some mispredictions are made. Hippowdon seems like a possible counter, but he would completely ruin my teams synergy.

Edit:
Will start posting logs.
This log is one showing Porygon's capabilities as it almost single-handedly destroys some of the metagames most common threats.

Gliscor is the hardest counter to excadrill in the OU metagame, and can bulky SD just like tangrowth, so u can replace him

Tangrowth should not be carrying Poison Jab. In fact, no Pokemon should carry Poison Jab unless they get STAB on it. Even then, it shouldn't be carried. So, Tangrowth should carry Leech Seed. Which allows you to stall out some Pokemon, and at least reduce Gliscor's healing etc.

On Porygon, maybe u should switch HP ground for T-Bolt, its much better coverage.

Aeromence:

You should have at least provided a set but let me just do it anyways.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 176 Def / 88 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang

This set allows you to stop both Excadrill and Fighting types such as Conkeldurr while stall breaking the opponent with taunt. Pretty much outclasses your Tangrowth in every way apart from the surprise factor. Anyways I hope this helps as an extension to Aeromence's comment.

1) id have focus blast on Reuniclus as it hits steels in general harder,
2)id put leech seed over poision jab on tangrowth
3)And id add a steel type because you have no pokes that can switch into a outrage or a draco meteor, Id recommend a jaraichi over togekiss as wish support is probably more useful than heal bell,

Jarachi
serene grace w/ lefties
252hp/252spdef/4def

-wish
-thunder wave
-iron head
-stealth rock

4) no stealth rock means d nite and friends will have a feild day on your team.
5) stick to hp ground on chandelure bcos lots on fire types will switch in for resistences and boosts and hp ground covers that
6) Id use max hp on reuniclus because spdef is unnecessary if you bring it in on a poke that it walls like ferrothorn and then get a CM up. After you set up (1 or 2 CM's) youll be bulkier on both sides with this spread :D.

Thanks a bunch for the last few comments.
A few things:

I disagree that poison jab is a move that should be completely avoided, and it works in great combination with earthquake to hit everything but ground/flying for neutral damage, where power whip steps in.

Gliscor is definitely something to look in to, and thank you Jaxx for your in effort providing a set.

Hidden power fire is really only for Skarmory, Forretress and Ferrothorn.
Focus blast's power is 120 on all but Ferrothorn, which reaches 240.
Hp fire on Skarmory is 140 and 280 on both Forretress and Ferrothorn.
All in all, HP fire allows significantly more accuracy and a lot more power on the threats where it counts.

Max hp on Reuniclus is now implemented, thanks.

I really dislike Jirachi for several reasons, the main is because most sets, including the one you mentioned, make me feel like I am cheating. I am all ears for Togekiss replacements, but I'd need a replacement as a healer, not just another type of pokemon. Four members have their own recovery methods, and one is a revenge killer.
Wish would be only for Ambipom, who can't survive a hit anyway.

Hp ground on porygon is for Heatran, as he can't even hope to dent a pokemon with massive special defense and fire immunity.

Thanks everyone, I'll do some work around and eventually edit the OP

Respectful bump.. Though I still feel bad for the double post. Oh well,
I've updated in a log and hopefully will have more soon. I also included an importable, and have begun testing with the new porygon evs and the Gliscor. The new log reflects this update.
The pokemon aren't changed in the OP yet because I am not one hundred percent sure what I am doing yet.
Thank you everyone, hopefully I can get some more comments in after testing is finished and what not.

~Dj.

On Tangrowth, Personally I'd go Sleep Powder>Leech Seed>Poison Jab, but hey, that's me.

Nice team, can't think of anything else...

Why are you going for Flamethrower? Surely you could've used a different move instead of Flamethrower such as Body Slam or Air Slash for a Flinch or Parahax. Neverthless, your team is really good. If you ever needed a healer in your team, why don't you try out a Pokemon that has Heal Bell and Aromatherapy? Maybe a Wish set, as well?

Also, a tiny nitpick, but aren't you relying on recovery moves too often? Half of your team has recovery moves, and some of them could use a different offensive/defensive move instead of a recovery move.

Actually, if Heatran is the reason for running HP Ground then you should DEFINITELY run Thunderbolt instead of HP on Porygon2. Yes, you'll only be chipping Heatran, but
1) You have recovery, Heatran doesn't
2) You're immune to Heatran's fire STAB by switching in and Tracing Flash Fire.
So maybe you won't be hitting Heatran hard, but he can't touch you at all.
Plus, Thunderbolt + Toxic definitely helps in overcoming Vaporeon.

Reuniclus get good coverage with FB, and can hit Ttar for something
Also, have you ever considered anything else in ambipom's place? like a mienshao lead? Or deoxys-s? they fit in today's metagame, while ambipom has a hard time against ANY priority, and can't take a hit. Not to mention that Mienshao has a 195 BP attack, U-turn, fake out, Stone Edge, Hidden power... that's actually about it. Deo has superpower, magic coat, spikes, SR, and dual screens, not to mention much greater speed. Ambipom has... Fake out. a 135 BP move is nice, but only on the first turn. he cant take a hit, and normal isn't a very good type, defencively or offencively. just saying that there are better options out there. I'll actually give you a set this time if u want to choose one of the other leads :)

Also, I'd lol if u lost that battle, the oppo tried to hit pory2 with a salamences EQ. that guy is totally noobish. a magnezone with Toxic? cmon, that destroys the whole purpose of it. Maybe u should just get rid of it. ur only embarassing that other guy :)

I know the log was pretty horrible.. I was more just trying to show off a defensive pokemon against some big threats offensively. Just showing porygons capabilities at taking down the threats..

Anyway, I suppose thunderbolt is worth looking into.
Mienshao is also worth some time..

ok mienshao set:

name: All-Out Attacker
move 1: Hi Jump Kick
move 2: U-turn
move 3: Hidden Power Ice
move 4: Fake Out / Stone Edge
item: Life Orb
nature: Naive
ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

Discharge, not tbolt on p2

Ok my mienshao summary in this sense is kind of like an underplayed ambipom with special attacking capabilities.
It is slower, which is my main concern.
It is unable to completely take out fighting types.
It is weaker and less bulky than Ambipom and won't likely be surviving long enough to make regenerator matter, unless you're only considering stall teams.
Ambipoms ability and stab allows for significantly stronger fake out.
Can also OHKO tyranitar with low kick
Ambipom beats mienshao face to face every time.

They are both very capable in my mind, but I think in the position used on this team, Ambipom takes the prize.

Thank you very much, though, for providing the set. I'll update everything into the OP later today

Also, thunder bolt is preferred as Porygon would rather toxic stall than abuse para-hax. It would really only help against heatran, which is unnecessary anyway...

I agree with what other people say, you could really benefit from having Gliscor on your team to stop Excadrill a very potent threat to your team...

hey i understand why you have minimal attack ivs on special attackrs but if they are runnung hidden power it wont have as high base power
If the iv must be even the lowest you can go while maintaining power is 2, if odd 3.
Sorry about the op, I've been really busy.
Basically what is included is Gliscor permanently over Tangrowth, similar to the set mentioned above with tweaks in the evs given to maximize bulk and a few move changes.

I'm testing Deoxys-s as a revenge killer over Chandelure at the moment and would like to update after I have my opinion
