Tell us a little about yourself: I was alright at 4th-Gen Pokemon, being able to stay around 1100 sometimes. I would like to be able to play more often, but I'd like to refine my skills, too. I've been a fan of Pokemon ever since it came out in the states. In my spare time, I often try to draw in Photoshop and Zbrush. My favorite kind of pizza is Hawaiian pizza, and I'm currently playing (and loving) Chrono Trigger for the first time.

I have never been involved in the tutoring program before. I have tried in the past, and I've been wanting to do this, but I keep missing when the sign-ups are open (or fill out my form too late to get a tutor). Thank you, Bloo, for putting up when the sign-ups would open; that's a huge help.

Since I have less then 25 posts: I think I should be tutored because I love to play pokemon. I personally think I'm a decent player but feel as if I can use a bit more experience and help. Smogon's Tutoring Program seems to be a great way to become better. Another reason I think I should be tutored is because, I listen very well, and learn very quickly. So all in all, I think this program will be perfect for me.

Tell us a little about yourself: I'm a nerdly little british kid whos been playing PKM since RBY and joined the competitive scene mid-late DPP, my main battling style being stall (i'm definitely up for trying out different styles though). I've sticked mainly to the lower tiers and haven't played OU for about a year and a half. I'm not too terrible at batting, but my main problem lies with teambuilding and I would love to be able to make a great team for once to buckle down with and just straight up ladder.

Tell us a little about yourself: I am a 15 year old Boy who loves acting but I also love battling on Pokémon. I started playing Pokémon when Fire Red first came out and have started playing competitively July last year. I lack knowledge of the current metagame and there is also room for improvement in my basic skills such as team building and battle strategy.
Why Should I Be Tutored (Less Than 25 Posts): I feel like I should be tutored because I love competitive battling but because of my lack in experience I cannot enjoy it as much as I could. I just want to be able compete in the current metagame instead of failing, and not getting anything out of my Pokémon experience. I am a quick learner and a great listener so tutoring me won’t be too difficult as I find it relatively easy to understand most concepts. I understand that being tutored is a great privilege and I will take the whole program seriously 100%.

Tell us a little about yourself: Hi, I am from Brazil and am a recurring poster and battler here at Smogon. I really like to use unorthodox pokemon and unorthodox teams, but normally have a hard time building strong, solid teams. My aim for this round of Batlling 101 is to competently learn how to build solid, offensive-based teams, and learn how to synergize between team-members. If this will help in any way, I have reached the quarter-finals and semi-finals in some smogon tournaments, with my peak ladder ranking being about 1350 points. I hope I can get a chance of learning with the fantastic battlers here at Smogon.

Why Should I Be Tutored (Less Than 25 Posts): I have a very strategic mind and am very hardworking. I am not the most skilled at making good teams, and whenever I think I made a good team I learn that it is not as good as I had hoped. I do play with my friends usually, and most have these powerful teams that beat mine in minutes. Tell us a little about yourself: A teenager ready to take battling to the next step. Perfectly willing to take any advice given and try it. Warning I had one oddity! I had a bit of bias against legendary pokemon previously. I have mostly gotten rid of this bias, but it may come up in teambuilding.
25 posts or less explanation: I was a lurker on the forums for a bit trying to piece together the twisting turns that make up the competitive scene. I didn’t post because I believe that people who are much more experienced can benefit this site better than I can. After I got the basic concepts I tried my hand at PO and I had a bit of success, but eventually I realized that I was a weak player and didn’t understand the concepts that people just seemed to inherently know.
