Don't post here unless your a ref or a battler.

Rules:
- 5v5 Triples (Positioning OFF)
- ASB Arena
- All Abilities
- No Items
- 5 recovers/5 chills
- 2 Substitutions
- 2 Day DQ for battlers, 2/3 Day DQ for refs
- Self-KO clause; in the event of a double KO to end the match, the Pokemon that KOed itself through whatever means (self-KOing move, energy exhaustion, etc) loses.
- Switch=KO

Arena: ASB Tournament Arena
Field Type: Neutral
Complexity: Simple
Format: All

Restrictions: No Restrictions

Description: Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about 4.5m wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is 24m wide, 33m long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than 18m). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

MrL's team

Persian (*) [Jingle] (Male)
Nature: Rash (+1 SpA , -1 SpD)
Type: Normal
Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Abilities:
Limber: (Innate) This Pokemon’s body is well trained and immune to paralysis.
Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects.
Unnerve [DW]: (Innate) The Pokemon's presense causes immense tension in the opponent, preventing them from eating a held Berry. Natural Gift may still be used.

Early Bird: (Innate) This Pokemon is used to waking up at early hours or operating in low-light conditions and subsequently sleep status is automatically reduced by one intensity level when inflicted on this Pokemon. The battle gets off to a roaring start, with Persian striking Machamp at a blinding speed with Fake Out, leaving it unable to react this action. Krillowatt follows up with a frigid BBlizzard, hitting Serperior and Machamp for some solid damage, but missing Dragonite entirely. Serperior gets rather pissed about the cold weather and starts cursing out Persian, leaving it only able to attack for a little while. Xatu then gets a glimspe of the future, and switched places with its ally, Persian. Dragonite finishes up by increasing his teams speed with a Tailwind, while Machamp cringes from the blow.

Now faster than all his opponents, Serperior fires off a devastating Leaf Storm at Krillowatt, inflicting massive damage. Dragonite must have missed the memo about allies switching places, as it fires an Ice Beam at Persian which, while respectable, was not as effective as if it had hit its intended target. Persian responds with a Swift, strengthened by its innate ability to use weaker moves. Xatu mirrors Dragonite from the previous action and sets up a Tailwind, bringing the speed on the field back to a near level field. Finally, Krillowatt, after turtling for all this time, unleashes a devastating Mirror Coat upon Serperior, sending the full force of the Leaf Storm back and then somce.

IF Dragonite orders a damaging Ice move that would damage Xatu, replace that action with Fly (Machamp), pushing actions down.

Blizzard -> Ice Beam (Dragonite)
IF Serperior uses a Damaging Grass attack that would damage Krillowatt A1, THEN replace that action with Dive (Machamp), pushing actions down.
IF Machamp uses Wide Guard when you are using Blizzard, replace that action with Ice Beam (Dragonite), then push actions down.

@Hatestoorderfirst

Bahamut: Reflect (My Team) > Thunderbolt (Krillowatt)
Edge: Giga Drain + Mega Drain Combo (Krillowatt) > Cooldown
Machamp: Encore (Persian) > Stone Edge (Xatu)

@Hatestoorderfirsttoo

PS: Would it be possible to put team efects in the team summaries? Also the final Calc for serperior should be 73.25-45 = 28, so the round total is correct!

I know it's not my place to post, but...Your orders are illegal. Machamp does not know Brick Break (I made sure to check for that before i dedicated a round to setting them up)

Krillowatt starts off the round by taking evasive action, and Diving into the water surrounding the arena. Persian follows up by whispering nasty things to Machamp, Tormeting it for the next little while. In return, Machamp applauds Persian for it ingenuity, asking for an Encore of that move. Xatu takes the opportunity to set up a screen of light, while Dragonite does likewise with a Reflective barrier, before Krillowatt jumps out of the water, hitting Machamp for some critical damage. Serperior, biding its time this round then unleashes a brutal energy draining attack on Krillowatt, healing itself in the process. Taking the initiative once more, Krillowatt strikes Dragonite's wak point with an Ice Beam, hitting it hard, feeling the effects of last round, Persian Torments Machamp again, but to no avail. While Serperior cools down, Machamp hits Xatu hard with some sharp stone edges, doing major damage. To finish off the round, Xatu sets up its own Reflective barrier, while Dragonite shoots a bolt of lighting at Krillowatt.

Gilgamesh is tormented (Encore, Stone edge) Does this update to the two moves used this round for next round?

Ok, let's go:

Edge: Leaf Storm (Krillowatt) > Giga Drain (Krillowatt)
If Ally Switch is used, retarget Krillowatt.
If Krillowatt faints, target Persian.
If torment prevents you using Giga Drain, use leaf tornado instead.

Gilgamesh: Dynamic Punch (Persian) > Rock Slide
If Ally Switch is used to switch xatu and persian on a1, replace dynamic punch with ice punch.

Bahamut: Thunderpunch (Krillowatt) > Ice Beam (Xatu)
If Krillowatt is fainted or uses dive or a protective move on itself, target Xatu for that action.

Let's see if we can't fix our mistake...

Torment (Machamp) -> U-Turn (Serperior)

Wish -> Psychic (Machamp)

Endure -> Follow Me

@Notconfidentinmoves

Alright, I'll be your subref for this match. Let's get started!

Sigh, what a silly format, I'd better fix that! ;)

Round 3: Triple Trouble

Well, apparently Texas Cloverleaf just left the building for something important, so I'll be reffing this match now! Are you all so glad?

Anyway, the first action starts slowly, as Krillowatt sets up an Endure to prevent itself from dying this round. Persian is forced to try and Torment Machamp again to no avail, but finally snaps out of the Encore afterwards. Serperior however decides to send out a Leaf Storm which does massive damage to Krillowatt, and buffs its offense by quite a bit. Machamp then decides to try and attack Persian with a fierce Dynamicpunch, but Persian only gets Slightly Confused from that. While Xatu makes a Wish for greater health next round, Dragonite hits Krillowatt with a Thunderpunch, which would've knocked it out were it not for Endure.

The next set of actions start off with a rather dirty move by Krillowatt, a nice Follow Me to direct all attacks to it and make them do nothing at all! This could end badly for Arcanite. Persian attempts to U-Turn Serperior to shake off the confusion, but he hits himself instead. Luckily that blow seems to have knocked him out of confusion. Arcanite's team then goes on the offensive with a Giga Drain on Krillowatt for Serperior and a Rock Slide by Machamp. This Rock Slide seems to have taken it's toll, as Xatu finds itself flinched! That's gotta stink. Finally, Dragonite tries to fire an Ice Beam at Xatu, but was mesmerized by Krillowatt and hit it instead.

As we leave this round, both competitors are hurting quite badly, and their field effects are about to go down. What will they do next? Stay tuned for the next round of fighting!

Round 4: Shrimp Catastrophe

Welcome back folks! Last we left out combatants, we saw them pummel each other with attacks until Krillowatt almost died. What will happen this round?

Well, Krillowatt, seeing something nasty coming from Dragonite, Detects the incoming attack, which turns out to be an Extreemespeed. After that, Persian tries to set up for future rounds by throwing Toxic at the Dragonite. Serperior sure didn't like that, so he Giga Drains the life out of Persian, recovering himself for some health, but also costing quite a bit of energy. Machamp moves first, and sets up a Substitute to keep out his opponents. It seems to have worked too, because Xatu just wasted energy trying to Split the Pain between them. However, despite Arcanite's progress, his Tailwind peters out, which gives Mr. L an action to come back.

Before that though, Dragonite finishes off Krillowatt with another Extreemespeed attack. Persian doesn't like Serperior's recovery antics, and uses a U-Turn to deal damage, but it doesn't even even out the damage. Xatu then used a Psychic attack on Machamp, absolutely crushing its substitute, but Machamp simply responds by throwing up the Stone Edges from the rubble created from the substitute. Finally, Serperior Taunts Xatu to prevent him from causing another Tailwind, which just petered out for Mr. L.

The first KO of the match finds Mr. L in a precarious position. Can he get out of this mess? Find out after these messages!
