Okay, you guys work WAY too fast. It is NOT fun catching up on 50+ pages when you're a slow reader and some of you post essays, which makes me groan (looking at you Yveltal, no hard feelings though, it was insightful). So, while listening to the developer roundtable conference, and having watched the Nintendo direct (while checking in on Serebii), I have made notes on a pad that I wish to discuss here. While going through said 50+ pages, I have crossed out things that have already been discussed to avoid sounding redundant. Here's what it looks like:
To start off, when I was listening to the roundtable, and they demoed a live battle about 25 minutes going in, I shat bricks. It sounds amazing and I'm so looking forward to orchestrated music being able to be put directly into the game, since they aren't stopped by game limitations now.
The translator made a mistake, or Junichi did? They said, "...aaaand here's a new move.... called Brave Bird" seriously -_- that's almost as bad as the guy who thought Rhyhorn was a Rhydon.
Here's what I DON'T like about the compiled Q&A thing on ?pokebeach? I think, they didn't say the full question NOR the full answer. While asking about the Fairy type and how it "suddenly showed up" they ALSO asked if CleFAIRY was gonna be retconned into this type. The answer you guys have read was pretty much what they said. I'm not concerned about how they dodged the fairy introduction question, I'm MUCH more concerned that they dodged the Clefairy question.
They didn't expect IV/EV related questions, but are including something for them to be more easily viewed/adjusted. So, do they look at the competitive scene or not? I always thought they didn't. I'm rethinking it now.
They said that while using the rollerskates, it would simulate a "free-movement" feeling. So will the 8-way movement become smooth while using the skates or simply free-movement is the question on my mind now.
I laughed with the other reporters about "Ash", it was indeed funny.
I like how we have the option of accepting or declining a Sky Battle, maybe we this option against normal trainers? False hopes, I know.
The part on their website where they said "Sylveon really liked that treat!" bothers me, will there be 18 different treats? Each 1 for a type? That WAS a pink treat that Sylveon ate. Fairy treat?
This is on their site, "You've already met the first Fairy-type Pokémon...Sylveon!" soooo.... Xerneas/Yveltal aren't part Fairy?
Just want to touch on this a bit, since it seems people are still confused: In horde battles, the opposing Pokemon WILL attack one after another. The reporters laughed because Junichi was getting a beatdown by the underlevelled Houndour. MahouRedZ beat me to the explanation though.
I really like Talonflame as a name for it. I legitly cannot understand the hate for it. I counted 2 other users who share this opinion.
So GF doesn't want us to use dragons to break the game, yet they have level 8 Axews, logic.
It's symbiotic, but it still bothers me that the flower is bigger than the Pokemon itself, much more so. I'm okay with small stuff with the pokes like Marowak and Farfetch'd, but that's too much. I'm not even bothered that it's a Fairy type. Burmy does the whole "bigger than body" thing better imho.
SO, there are my thoughts. So I hate reading essays yet I wrote one myself, oh the irony.
