The Topic Leader is the most important leadership position in the project during the creation process. So, it is imperative that we pick someone that will do a good job. As is now customary, this poll will be open to the public. In this first thread, we'll be voting only for Topic Leader (TL). The Topic Leadership Team (TLT) will be voted on in the next leadership poll thread tomorrow.

Please review all the information in that thread in order to adequately inform your decision. The candidates all spent a considerable amount of time writing their nominations, so make sure to review them thoroughly; they all contain vital information that will help you make your selection.

Here's how to vote:
  • All CAP community members are allowed to vote. This means that if you have a registered Smogon account, you can vote.
  • Please post ALL candidate names ranked in order of preference. Like so:
First Preferred Candidate
Second Preferred Candidate
Third Preferred Candidate

If the voter wishes, he may post comments on his vote below the actual vote. As with IRV or normal bold voting, only the votes themselves should be bold and none of the supplementary text should be bold.

If you remember back before CAP 5, we had a PR thread talking a lot about IRC status. I was one of the biggest supporters of a more formal system, not just because I thought it would help newer users, but because it worked for me when I was new. Back then when I first joined our irc channel, there was one voiced user named capefeather who I talked to a lot, and who I saw as a quality user that I wanted to be more like. While I have never really tried to emulate specifics, cape has always been someone I have looked up to in CAP, and there is no one I would like to see as TL more.

Nothing against you other two guys, of course. nyttyn, you have come a long way, and I'm sure you will continue to contribute well in the future, and DLC, what you have done here recently has been very impressive, and I would absolutely love to see you as a TL at some point too.

I feel that a better grasp of the competitive scene is integral to making a good project.
