Pokémon XY Leaks

Which is why I pointed out earlier that they're candidates for a mega evolution. All three of them fit the criteria used by GameFreak:
1. popular? Check.
2. good designs? Check.
3. need a boost? Check.

I don't think they acting as the regional lesser legendary trio is just a coincidence.
Also, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres' French names are Artikodin, Electhor and Ra, respectively.
The first (and only) fanfic I ever wrote for anything as a kid gave the legendary birds what we'd call now Mega Evolutions, so it absolutely needs to happen IMO. >_>

Just like to point out that nobody to my knowledge has demonstrated the presence of the legenary birds, plural. Kanpachi had Zapdos wandering around as a roamer. No sign of the other two.
Which Pokemon was Kanpachi's starter?

In Hinduism: Creation, maintenance, destruction are personified by Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
Gen V was based off New York, Had the Tao trio based off Chinese mytho, Kami trio based off Japanese mytho, and the Musketeers off a french book. It wouldn't be a surprise if the region in Gen VI was based off France, and their legendaries had the aesthetics inspired from Norse mytho, and had their origin from Hinduism. However, in Hinduism, those three gods have equal power, so there is a slight bit of contradiction.
When you put it that way, perhaps the Musketeers should have been the legendary trio of Kalos. lol

So wait, the bird that roams is dependant on your starter?

I think you're all forgetting the fundamental reason why GameFreak is implementing any Mega Evolutions at all.

Merchandising.

Sometimes we all get so wrapped up in the competitive element of things that we forget this is a business operation, and to the extent product quality matters to sales, the object is ultimately not to give us a fun experience, but to make their shareholders lots of money. Doing the former strongly increases the performance of the latter.

There is a reason Charizard is getting two Mega Evolutions while other Pokemon will get none.

Edit: I want to know if anyone's heard about this rumored "Apparachnid", a supposed Ghost/Bug type you can find in a cave early game. Any word on this?
Rule of thumb: If it's not mentioned in this thread, it's most likely fake. In this case, it's not in the thread, hasn't been mentioned by any of the reputable leakers, there's no room for it in the Dex, and it has not been mentioned in this topic.

In other words, fake.

Well Game Freak isn't EA. there not a very greedy company. I feel that Mega-Evos are more like a way to breathe life into old mons that don't see much usage anymore. Hench the possibility of why no Gen VI mons have gotten any, since they don't yet know how popular they may be.

I don't know why people give Zygarde so much grief.
It has two types for a reason, he can smack Xerneas with Ground attacks and Yveltal with Dragon attacks. Not to mention his Anti-Aura ability and the fact that he will probably get some super effective move against Fairy/Dark/Flying.

Anyways, thank Arceus for our first Poison/Dragon!!!

Been waiting for one even before B/W.

I feel we're getting a little bit off topic.

One selfish request, I know we're in a leaks thread, but can people put plot spoilers in hide tags? I'm mostly in this for finding out mechanics and mons. BW surprised me with being unexpectedly decent in the story front, don't want to ruin this game for myself.
I actually haven't seen too many story leaks in general, so I think you're in luck there. Most of the leakers were more interested in bulldozing through the game and trying to figure out which 'mons needed to evolve by standing on their heads or something. I'll certainly try and be discreet if I see anything.

On another note, I don't think all the dexs have been completely filled in yet, but the folks at 4chan have tried to put together a list of everything you don't see in Kalos (at least as of several hours ago):

In the Nordic mythology :
"From there come maidens, very wise,
Three from the lake that stands beneath the pole.
One is called Urd, another Verdandi,
Skuld the third; they carve into the tree"

That could be our legendary trio.

Edit : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbers_in_Norse_mythology Oh damn look at all those possibilities for a trio lmao
Hope so! It would be real sad (read; baaad) if they were to break tradition; the Trio are usually the most revered Pokes of each Gen!

Look where Zapdos/Terrakion went.

Hey, I totally forgot about that!!!
What if there are a lot more pokemons with type changes that are not in the Kalos dex? Can you trade pokemons from older generations?

No, it is physically impossible due to a hardware limitation of the 3DS. In order to uptrade pokemon from Generation V, you will need to use Game Freak's unreleased cloud storage app, which will be free for a month and is set to release in December.

So we have to wait untill December to see if pokemon not found in the Kalos region got any upgrades?

Well that's a kick in the groin...
