Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
That speed! Fingers cross for head smash and/or brave bird to go along with that BST (it loses rock head, yeah, but dang it I want those moves on it anyway!).
Oh for the love of Arceus...
Nobody forces you to use MegaShrimpdos. Not all megas play the same as their original counterparts, just look at Mega Venusaur.
While technically true, DLC has a different connotation to the average player, thus making the use of "Event" and "DLC" important, because everyone understood what was being said with "no DLC", despite any pedantic usages of the word.
Using DLC when you are reffering to event mons is technically correct, but also confusing and not catering to the needs of the discussion.
That's a pretty beastly offensive spread. If Aerodactyl gets some new moves this gen, to properly use his new Tough Claws ability, it can be a really dangerous sweeper.
Mega Mewtwo X in Y o_o Mega Charizard X in Y??? They are hold items after all??? >_o Although Girantina had the whole problem with it's orb but who knows maybe you can trade them.
The Gourgeist shown in this thread is apparently its "small form." Some have suggested that there could be different forms based on its weight. Perhaps to key to finding out is either that or the move Growth (common move among grass types).
That said, I wonder kind of effects its forms may have if there are different effects at all. I think there has to be some kind of gimmick as it'd be entirely redundant for Gamefreaks to create two grass/ghost pokemon giving one an ability to differentiate itself from the other.
I know I'm probably not be the first one to notice this, but it looks as though the Mega forms add an additional 100 to the base stat total of the base Pokemon. Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Aerodactyl are two Mega Pokemon that we know the stats of for sure, and each has exactly 100 extra BST:
In both of these cases, multiples of 10 are added to the original Pokemon's base stats, a total boost of 100 BST. Assuming this pattern is the same for other Mega forms, maybe we can take other estimated stats from earlier in this thread (and the compilation thread) and come up with more precise numbers. This is just speculation, but it's fun to take a stab at this and see the possibilities.
(I'm a little unsure about this one. Someone mentioned before that it doesn't look like its speed changed, but I thought I saw someone else claim that it did. I'm assuming it did since it fits better with my theory, lol)
If this turns out to be correct - and the boosts seem fairly accurate - let's hope Mawile doesn't get a boost outside of its defenses, from 50/85/55 to something along the lines of 50/125/115 would be as nice as it gets.
