In this post I will be writing a brief overview to the games, highlighting points of interest, Gym leaders, Town names, Route information and other interesting or useful tidbits. Most of the information in this thread will be covered in other more focused threads (And I will be copying Info here and there to keep this as up to date as possible). The main reason for this thread is to aid in the creation of Tier Listings which will be coordinated by Its_A_Random. This can now be found here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/pokémon-x-y-in-game-tier-list-discussion.3490447/

If you find Pokemon in Routes which are not listed here, please post with the Pokemon Name and the Route/Location that you found said Pokemon. I know I will likely miss more than a few on my first play through so we could do with all the help we can get!

Please be aware that the order in this guide will be updated/changed when a more efficient route is discovered. We will be optimising this in terms of efficiency (as opposed to raw speed) as we do multiple play throughs and really get down into the nitty gritty of learning the route information/cave layouts. Certain places become totally irrelevant in terms of efficiency on subsequent playthroughs (such as Mt Mortar in Johto or Lostlorn Forest and the Old Chateau in Unova) so they may get dropped to an "Additional Information" section which will get added later.

We will be highlighting anything which is of importance (Such as a Rival Location) with DISCOVERY. Please use this as a quick jump to get to stuff you are more interested in! I am currently playing Pokemon X.

UPDATE: 14/10/2013 - Main Storyline is complete. There will be more stuff added and tidied up over the coming days. If you find out moveset info or other Rival infos (I started with Froakie, so anyone who started with either of the other two posting those rivals would be great!). I will be editing this post as much as possible when I get new info and I am also going to slowly add in other stuff like more TM locations and some other Items.

UPDATE: 26/10/2013 - Currently upgrading the Wild Pokemon lists to accurately reflect the game. [Up to Route 7 is complete]

UPDATE: 02/11/2013 - Thankyou to cbt to suggesting using Imposter Ditto and getting some of the Elite 4 Move information. I'll be trying this on some other Trainers too! Updated Wild info up until Shalour City and fixed some formatting.

Update: 24/03/2014 - updating some move information. Will need to use an imposter ditto on my next play through and be really nosey on who has what :)

TM27 Return is given to you inside the Lumiose City gate.

If you pick up a Furfrou, you can come back here and get its hair cut.

Try to get your bearings here... Lumiose City is enormous and later on its easy to get lost in its meandering back alleys and side routes. Use the Cabs if you do get lost! Exploring this area can net you items and cool Skate tricks.

You get pinged with a news message after leaving... About what you just stopped.

Route 15 - Brun Way
There are people hiding in the leaves on this route like the Ninja's in Hoenn

Wild Pokemon: Mightyena [X], Klefki, Pawniard, Liepard [Y], Foongus, Skorupi
Wild Pokemon (Horde): Murkrow, Foogus, Klefki

There are a few ruins down this route, it gives it quite an eerie feel. Hex Maniacs are probably the most terrifying NPC Pokemon has ever introduced :o There is a ruined building which leads to the...

OPTIONAL Lost Hotel

Wild Pokemon: Magneton, Electrode, Klefki, Pawniard, Litwick
Wild Pokemon (After Elite 4): Rotom

Nonary Game says this: On the Lost Hotel, your clothing has nothing to do with it to get past the punks. You have to learn all the rollerblade tricks from the skaters in Luminose City. One's on the main road, one's in a cafe, one's in a building with an elevator, first floor, and the other's in one of the central circles.

Quicheu wants to add this:

Where the four skaters in Luminose are:
  • In Cafe Rouleau on Estival Ave.
  • In front of Cafe Ultimo on the North Boulevard. (Standing under the tree in the middle of the street.)
  • In the first floor of an office building across a taxi near Estival Ave, on the South Boulevard. (The building between the Estival Ave. Stop and the South Blvd. West stop for the Gogoat Shuttle)
  • In Vert Plaza (Green Obelisk) next to Vernal Ave. (Where Cafe Cyclone is.)
Taxis can take you to any cafe in Luminose.

The guy at the back teaches you the last trick for your skates.

OPTIONAL Route 16
There is a second entry into the Lost Hotel here which gives you access to the areas that were blocked off from the Route 15 entrance by fallen shelfs.

Wild Pokemon (Long Grass): Foognus, Pumpkaboo, Phantump
Wild Pokemon: Klefki, Skorupi, Foongus , Weepinbell
Wild Pokemon (Surf): Lombre

DISCOVERY - Super Rod is located here in a house by the docks outside the gate leading to Lumiose City.

There is a guy in the same house who asks you about your longest successful fishing streak (as in, how many consecutive times you get a bite when fishing). I think he gives you Dive Balls if you get a good streak (not sure what "good" is though).

You need to come here to back track onto Route 15 to get the Dark Pulse TM (TM97). There is also a Rare Candy here.

Dendemille Town
Its frosty! More O Powers are in the Pokemon Centre here. You get given a Sitrus berry there too. Woman outside the Pokemon Centre sells Moo Moo Milks! These are the best healing items per Pokedollar you can buy, so stock up! Sycamore talks to you about (I assume) your version specific legendary at this point.

DISCOVERY - Move Deleter and Move Relearner (Heart Scales) are in the house directly inline with the western entrance to the town.

Big Root is located in the field south of the Move House.
TM42 Facade is located with a boy in a house on the "spiral" up towards the windmill.

Frost Cavern (North of Dendemille Town)
There seems to be some problem with the regions Mamoswine which stops you from progressing down Route 17. Looks like we have to get through this cave before the Mamoswine will return to duty.

Hail seems to be active in this route (So expect damage for non Ice/Overcoat mons).

Wild Pokemon (seems to be low encounter rate): Beartic, Jynx, Piloswine, Bergmite, Haunter, Crygonal, Cubchoo (Horde), Vanillite (Horde)
Wild Pokemon (Surfing): Poliwhirl

DISCOVERY: Icy Rock is hiding away across a small surf route (For the evolution of Eevee to Glaceon)

DISCOVERY: After the short surf area, down a second set up steps there is a woman who will heal your Pokemon. DO NOT SLIDE DOWN THE SLOPE!!!

DISCOVERY: Team Flare again! What are they up to this time?! There is an Abomasnow here they are trying to capture.

Team Flare Scientist Mable
Pokemon 1: Houndoom Lv 48 - Embargo/Fire Fang/Foul Play

Trevor gets a nice theme and says battling Team Flare is scary :3

DISCOVERY - Abomasnow gives you its Abomasite when you talk to it.

Where the large area of ice is just before Abomasnow, heading east in that room gives you access to another stairway which brings you to TM79 - Frost Breath.

Head back to the town, heal up and head down to Route 17. Mamoswine has returned.

Route 17 - Mamoswine Road
You get to ride the Mamoswine into the snow! Up to the North there is a hidden Timer Ball and the Icicle Plate.

Wild Pokemon (Deep Snow) - Snover, Delibird, Sneasel

At the end of this route, Serena appears to battle you infront of the Anistar City Gym.

Anistar City
Immediately on arrival you get given some repeat balls by one of Sycamore's Aides. A woman next to the Pokemon centre can recall memories made by your Pokemon.

There is another Mr Bonding in the Pokemon Centre here and a woman on the right side gives you TM90 - Substitute. She mentions if you come back tomorrow she will give you another TM (Flamethrower and Psych Up). This Pokemart has the TMs for Thunder, Fire Blast, Blizzard, Focus Blast and Hyper Beam.

Building next to the Pokemon Centre is a boutique for new clothes. Building next to that houses the TM for Hidden Power, the same man also tells you what type your Hidden Power will be. Behind the boutique is the man who tells you more about your version legendary.

Rival Battle 5: Vs Serena!
Pokemon 1: Meowstic (F) Lv 44 - Fake Out/Shadow Ball/Psychic
Pokemon 2: Vaporeon Lv 44 - Aurora Beam/Muddy Water/Quick Attack
Pokemon 3: Chesnaught Lv 46 - [I OHKO'd]
Pokemon 4: Absol Lv 44 - Night Slash/Quick Attack

Pokemon 1: Meowstic (F) Lv 44 - Fake Out/Shadow Ball/Psychic
Pokemon 2: Jolteon Lv 44 -
Pokemon 3: Delphox Lv 46 - Mystical Fire
Pokemon 4: Absol Lv 44 - Night Slash/Quick Attack

Pokemon 1: Meowstic (F) Lv 44 - Fake Out/Shadow Ball/Psychic
Pokemon 2: Flareon Lv 44 - Quick Attack/Lava Plume
Pokemon 3: Greninja Lv 46 - Water Shuriken
Pokemon 4: Absol Lv 44 - Night Slash/Quick Attack

She heals up your Pokemon and then leaves.

[NOTE: Vaporeon changes I think depending on Starter, Chespin Starters get Jolteon, I presume Fennekin Starters get Flareon in this Match (Confirmed by Limi )

Anistar City Gym
Pokemon Gym Puzzle: The house explodes showing a 3D Maze you must navigate. Its actually more complex than it looks!

Anistar City Gym Leader: Olympia
Pokemon 1: Sigilyph Lv 44 - Light Screen/Reflect/Air Slash/Psychic
Pokemon 2: Slowking Lv 45 - Power Gem/Yawn/Calm Mind/Psychic
Pokemon 3: Meowstic Lv 48 - Fake Out/Psychic/Calm Mind/Shadow Ball

She gives you the Psychic Badge and TM04 Calm Mind.

After defeating the Gym Serena comes to you and asks about Daily Battles "when this is over". This is also the point Lysandre contacts *everyone* and starts leaking their plan... Good man letting the people who can stop know what you want to do... There are also two Team Flare reps who appear and pretty much tell you exactly where to go next. The route out to the south is blocked by Durants of all things...

Time to go back to Lumiose.

Lumiose City - Part 3 - Team Flare Hideout
Head to the center of town! Find that pesky bright red Cafe you were in talking to Sycamore earlier. Fight the two grunts in the Cafe and break in. Using the best password ever you can enter their hideout at the back of the Cafe.

Lysandre Labs
Lysandre appears right at the start of the area.

Team Flare Lysandre
Pokemon 1: Meinfoo Lv 45 - Swords Dance
Pokemon 2: Gyarados Lv 49 - Iron head/Outrage
Pokemon 3: Pyroar (Male) Lv 47 - Dark Pulse
Pokemon 4: Murkrow Lv 45 - [OHKO]

At this point Lysandre leaves you to explore the Labs to find away up, also giving you a helpful clue that one of the Scientists you've already battled has the elevator key.

Team Flare Scientist Aliana
Pokemon 1: Mightyena Lv 46 - Taunt/Sucker Punch
Pokemon 2: Druddigon Lv 48 [Sheer Force] - Surf/Dragon Claw

There is a healing room here and one of the Grunts gives you TM12 - Taunt. There are warp panels and spin panels here, so be careful where you move to. There's a room to the north where Sycamore's Aides give you some revives. There is also an area you can only reach via a warp panel in the top right corner. There's a Rare Candy up there if you can navigate to it.

Team Flare Scientist Celosia
Pokemon 1: Manectric Lv 46 - Thunderbolt/Thunder Wave/Flamethrower
Pokemon 2: Drapion Lv 48 - X Scissor/Night Slash/Poison Jab

Team Flare Scientist Bryony
Pokemon 1: Liepard Lv 46 - Taunt/Sucker Punch
Pokemon 2: Bisharp Lv 48 - Night Slash

Wow this area is pretty tedious...

Team Flare Scientist Mable
Pokemon 1: Houndoom Lv 46 - Sludge Bomb
Pokemon 2: Weavile Lv 48 - Night Slash/Ice Shard

Okay... That finally gave me the Elevator Key... You go down to basement 2... Okay what the hell... This is getting REALLY CREEPY. Lysandre has the HUGE guy you saw earlier locked up down here.

Oh.. Oh my the feels :( Lots of Story that helps you out here.

Leave and return to the elevator like Lysandre asks. You head down to the 3rd Basement now. You battle not Lysandre but Xerosic!

Team Flare Xerosic
Pokemon 1: Crobat Lv 46 - Poison Fang/Steel Wing
Pokemon 2: Malamar Lv 48 - Superpower

Xerosic seems to leave the fate of the planet in your hands. Blue or Red seems to be the question of the day. I have a feeling they both do the same thing. I hit Blue!

OH WAIT.

Xerosic is going to activate it anyway regardless of the option you took. Cue cutscene of Geosenge town. Looks like we are heading back there.

Geosenge Town - The Return
Geosenge town is pretty messed up what with a giant crystal giving off so much energy. head towards that little stone area at the back of the town. There's a Grunt standing in the way... Beat him and push on wards.

Serena appears and says she wants to help you out which is cool I guess.

Team Flare Secret HQ
Heading down the elevator seems to take you into an office of some sort. Talking to the people alludes some more clues to the Ultimate Weapon. Lysandre waits at the end of the room.

Team Flare Lysandre
Pokemon 1: Mienshao Lv 47 - Swords Dance/Acrobatics/High Jump Kick
Pokemon 2: Pyroar Lv 49 - Fire Blast/Hyper Voice
Pokemon 3: Gyarados Lv 51 - Outrage/Iron Head/Earthquake
Pokemon 4: Honchkrow Lv 47 - Steel Wing/Aerial Ace/Night Slash

After defeating Lysandre you head downwards into the next level. Serena comes with you. There's a few non important double battles here on the way through. Somehow Shauna turns up to battle with you...

Shauna ends up being the hero and unlocking the gate for you. There is 4 Team Flare Admins you battle here (If you have been using the XP share they really aren't a problem). The organization seems a bit top heavy with the amount of Admins to Grunts though...

DISCOVERY: Xerneas appears before you (I assume this is where Yveltal appears in Y) capture it and it can be swapped into your team (Like the Lucario earlier in the game). Its only Level 50 so chances are if youve been using the XP share its way under you (I'm Lv 58's)

Lysandre reappears with... Some sort of weird contraption attached to him. He challenges you for the Legends power... You get insta healed somewhere along this section of time and go into battle with a full team.

Team Flare Boss Lysandre
Pokemon 1: Mienshao Lv 49 - Acrobatics/High Jump Kick
Pokemon 2: Pyroar Lv 51 - Fire Blast
Pokemon 3: Gyarados Lv 53 [MEGA STONE] - Aqua Tail/Outrage/Earthquake
Pokemon 4: Honchkrow Lv 49 - Steel Wing/Aerial Ace

:o So here it is, Lysandre uses his Megastone to evolve his Gyarados into Mega Gyarados. He doesn't like you beating him so fires the weapon anyway.

It seems like it backfires and explodes the rocks leaving a large whole in the ground. AZ reappears and talks to you after your rivals walk off. Fly back to Anistar Town and Sycamore contacts you.

Route 18 - Vallee Etroite Way

Wild Pokemon: Durant, Geodude [Horde], Torkoal, Sandslash, Graveler
Wild Pokemon (Bush Encounters): Durant

DISCOVERY: This is where the type reversal kid is living in a house across a small wooden bridge.

DISCOVERY: Terminus Cave is also located on this route.

Walking around here should take you across some train tracks. What looks like another entrance to Terminus Cave takes you into a single room where TM31 - Brick Break is located. There is also a Sky Battle and a Max Ether directly south of the area on the tracks.

The Entrance down here also takes you back into terminus cave, but a Dragon Scale is located here.

OPTIONAL: Terminus Cave

Wild Pokemon (Rock Smash): Graveler
Wild Pokemon: Geodude [Horde], Sandslash, Durant [Horde], Durant, Pupitar [Y], Lairon [X]
Wild Pokemon (Ceiling Drop): Ariados, Noibat

I have found an Ether/Soft Sand/Pearls/Big Pearls/Hard Stone from Rock Smashing and a Moon Stone hidden behind a Rock Smash Boulder.

DISCOVERY: FINALLY. The Dusk Stone is located here (For either Doublade or Murkrow/Misdreavus). Its located on the second basement, head left behind some rock smash boulders.

DISCOVERY: TM30 Shadow Ball is located here too. Basement 2 -> On the right hand side in the bottom of a pit which you can walk down into.

Theres a guy down here at this point who stops you if you aren't the Champion, so I assume there is another legendary here after you beat the game. There's a Reaper Cloth down here too which should be cool.

DISCOVERY: Yes there is a legendary behind that man! :) [And a bunch of items that are for Palkia/Giratina/Dialga]

Couriway Town
On the train Station and Old Lady gives you TM89 - U Turn. There is also a Rare Candy up on the platform. No sign of any trains though. Trying to head south makes Sycamore arrive and talk to you like he requested. Oh crap he battles you!

DISCOVERY: Professor Sycamore Battle

Pokemon Professor Sycamore
Pokemon 1: Venusaur Lv 50 - Worry Seed/Petal Dance
Pokemon 2: Charizard Lv 50 - [OHKO]
Pokemon 3: Blastoise Lv 50 - [Flinch Hax]

Sycamore mentions a treasure of his is hidden somewhere in the town (This "treasure" is up on the train platform on one of the benches... It's interesting but not useful). There is a pretty wing via Dowsing Machine. There is also a Burn Heal near the benches, an Ether on the way up the steps and a Pokeball between the seats on the platform. A Prism Scale is out by the hotel near some pretty waterfalls along with a Max Potion in a Pokeball.

A girl in the hotel gives you TM55 Scald if you answer her question correctly. The O Power man is also up in the hotel. He seems to get around a lot. A house south from the bridge (on the left) will give you an item to do with your starter if you answer her questions correctly (I got Mystic Water for Froakie, so I assume Charcoal/Fennekin and Miracle Seed/Chespin)

Wild Pokemon (Surf): Lombre

Route 19 - Grande Vallee Way
This looks like a potentially massive route. There will likely be a lot to explore here. Going straight south is the fastest route, but there may be 3 levels to this area.

Heading downwards and winding around you'll need Surf and Strength to fully explore the area. Yache Berries are located across a rope bridge up some steps. There is TM36 Sludge Bomb here (Which you can see annoyingly when you enter the route). There is also a PP Up located left of the first set of stairs in the yellow patch of flowers. The Toxic Plate is also hidden up here behind a small strength puzzle. There is a Rare Bone down here too past a Swimmer... On a route which can rain... In a swamp.... In a Bikini :|

Wild Pokemon: Karrablast, Weepinbell, Shelmet, Stunfisk, Haunter, Sliggoo
Wild Pokemon (Surf): Stunfisk

Across a Rope Bridge Shauna will appear and demand a match off of you. The battle arena is actually the bridge which is a nice touch.

Rival Battle 2: Vs Shauna!
Pokemon 1: Delcatty Lv 49 - Charm/Play Rough
Pokemon 2: Goodra Lv 49 [Sap Sipper] - Earthquake/Dragon Pulse
Pokemon 3: Delphox Lv 51 - Mystical Fire

Pokemon 1: Delcatty Lv 49 - Charm/Play Rough
Pokemon 2: Goodra Lv 49 [Sap Sipper] - Earthquake/Dragon Pulse

Rival Battle 1: Vs Trevor!
Pokemon 1: Raichu Lv 49 - Thunderbolt/Slam/Quick Attack
Pokemon 2: Florges (Orange) Lv 51 - Misty Terrain
Pokemon 3: Aerodactyl Lv 49 - Supersonic

After these battles Shauna gives you HM05 - Waterfall. Continuing south will bring you to Snowbelle City.

Snowbelle City
There is an O Power man in the Pokemon Centre who gives you PP Restore!

DISCOVERY: Tutors for Elemental Hyper Beams for starters and one for the Special moves for Keldeo and Meloetta.

A girl in a house gives you TM08 - Bulk Up.
There is a trade for Bisharp if you have a Jigglypuff.

There is a clothes shop near the gym. The Gym is currently blocked off cause the gym leader is off wandering around Winding Woods.

Route 20 - Winding Woods

http://i.imgur.com/bRH5Zor.png is from Limi as a map to the area! Thankyou!

DISCOVERY: The mossy rock is located here (For Leafeon)

Wild Pokemon: Amoongus, Foongus [Horde], Gothorita, Trevenant, Jigglypuff, Noctowl, Trevenant [Horde]

The Meadow Plate is located in this forest. This place is a huge maze... Good luck. There is a strange tree which is massive near the middle. Keep heading around until you fall out into Pokemon Village. TM 53 - Energy Ball is also located here.

Pokemon Village
This place seems to be somewhat of a place where runaway Pokemon come to hide. This is where you meet Wulfric. Surfing in the top corner takes you to a waterfall, and there is a Pixie Plate here. This is also the entrance to "The Unknown Dungeon" which I assume also houses another legendary Pokemon at some point after beating the Elite 4.

Wild Pokemon: Foongus [Horde], Ditto, [Snorlax], Amoongus, Noctowl, Gothorita, Zoroark
Wild Pokemon (Surf): Lombre

Snowbelle City Gym
Gym Puzzle: Giant Rotating Squares help you through the gym (This is cool)

Snowbelle City Gym Leader: Wulfric
Pokemon 1: Abomasnow [Snow Warning] Lv 56 - Energy Ball
Pokemon 2: Cryogonal Lv 55 - [OHKO]
Pokemon 3: Avalugg Lv 59 - Curse/Avalanche

Wulfric hands over the Iceberg Badge and TM13 - Ice Beam. Upon leaving the gym you get a cool ice slide across a walkway that spawns.

Head out of the western side of town and onto the Pokemon League!

Route 21 - Derniere Way

Wild Pokemon: Scyther, Ursaring, Spinda, Altaria, Floatzel
Wild Pokemon (Surf): Floatzel

Victory Road Gate
Annoyingly there is a battle to actually gain entry to Victory road...

Robbie has Carbink (Which Stealth Rocks), Kingdra and Raichu. At this point that really shouldn't be a problem.

Victory Road
Here we are... The final dungeon of the game. You will need Surf And Strength. I would highly recommend going and buying a lot of revives/full restores/moo moo milks etc. The trainers in here are powerful.

Wild Pokemon: Lickitung, Druddigon, Gurdurr, Haunter, Zweilous
Wild Pokemon (Dived Down from the Sky): Skarmory [Outside], Graveler [Inside], Fearow [Outside]

Flaming Torches seem to indicate the right way to go. Past the second set you get into some ruins and there is a Pokemon Ranger (With the red clothes) that heals your Pokemon. Along here Serena appears for a rival battle.

Rival Battle 6: Vs Serena!
Pokemon 1: Meowstic (F) Lv 57 - Fake Out/Disarming Voice/Psychic

Extended Content [Post Game Information] DISCOVERY

Shauna prompts you to trade for the baby form of her Starter when you leave your house after becoming champion. These starters are good natured and also have one 31IV.

Your mum tells you to head to Lumiose City to talk to Sycamore. At the Pokemon Lab, a man on the second floor gives you the Pokeradar.

Heading to Lumiose Station (Quickest way is via cab, its in North Lumiose). Your Pokedex gets upgraded to the National Dex here. Sycamore gives you access to Kiloude City.

Head back to Glittering Cave to pick up some more Fossils! Root, Claw, Helix and Dome are all definitely there... I haven't heard of the others yet.

Kiloude City grants you the VS. Recorder. and the man who judges your IVs of Pokemon.

The Battle Maison is also here. Lots of prizes including the Ability Capsule (Which seems to have limited uses right now). After battling once in the battle Maison you can battle your rival in the north of the town! Be prepared they come with a full team this time!

Greninja Lv 70 - Dark Pulse/Hydro Pump/Ice Beam
Absol [Mega Stone] Lv 68 - Slash/Swords Dance/Night Slash/Quick Attack

I have to assume there was some mistake here by Gamefreaks team that half her team only has 3 moves...

At this point she tells you about Sycamore in Anistar City at the Sundial. This unlocks the ability to find all the Mega Stones in the game.

The main reason to come to this place is the Friend Safari! Please head over to Stellar's thread here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/thread...-you-have-beaten-the-e4.3489905/#post-4885284 and post up :)

I believe after activating the Mega Stone quest, returning to Lumiose a few times prompts you to get a message from an old friend... Looker appears to give you a few side quests for the Champion.

Caterpie can only be found in Y in Route 2, Weedle can only be found in X in Route 2, as I mentioned on IRC.

I have also found Bidoof in Route 3.

EDIT: Pidgey also appears on Route 3, albeit very rarely I assume. Bidoof also appears on Route 22 as well. Tierno's Corphish knows Vice Grip as well.

Can't remember from before Korrina, but Korrina has a Meditite/Flagu-whatever you call it (the fighting/flying dude)/Machoke. Don't remember the exact levels, but Meditite has Fake Out and Power-up Punch. You get Rumble Badge and TM98 Power-up Punch. IDK about birdman/Machoke's movesets (I had to sweep with Blaziken)

Also after beating Korrina you've to go back to the tower and ascend it. Third room while going up (the one before the roof) has a dude who gives you TM47 Low Sweep.

At the roof you'll fight Korrina once more as 'Successor Korrina'. However, you have to use one of her Lucario while fighting against her other Lucario. The Lucario is at L32 and has Power-up Punch, SD, Metal Sound and Bone Rush. The Lucarios have Lucarionite and Korrina mega-evolves hers during battle. After defeating her she will give you the Lucario.

Lucario has a Hasty nature, idk if its fixed (since both Lucarios in the battle are 2hko'd by each other I assume your Lucario will need a +Spe nature in order for the battle to be in your favour)

EDIT: Serena/Calem shows up before the Route 12 exit and gives you HM03 Surf.

EDIT2: Some guy right at the beginning of Route 12 gives you a L30 Lapras. Initial moves are Water Pulse, Body Slam, Rain Dance, Perish Song.

EDIT3: At the next town you need to go to the monorail in order to go to the gym/Pokecentre. There's a woman at the north cliff that gives you TMs daily. Serena/Calem challenges you outside the gym (Meowstic/Absol/Starter 2nd form). Roughly 2-3 levels from the last battle.

Ramos (Grass gym leader) has a L30 Jumpluff (Acrobatics), L31 Weepinbell and a L34 Gogoat (Bulldoze). Beating him nets Plant Badge and TM86 Grass Knot.

EDIT4: A friend of mine reported a Hasty Lucario too. I think it might be fixed...

After Ramos you go south to route 13, on the west side (left) should be 2 bridges, go to the bridge at the top and beat the flare grunt there. backtrack to the boulder to get the pass, go into the power plant.

go in all the way, you'll fight flare admin. (he's nameless... scrub)
pokemon: houndoom l36 (beat up)

after flare admin is the real deal: flare scientist aliana. (has only 1 pokemon...)
pokemon: mightyena l38 (scary face, swagger)

the event that occurs after gives you 2 full restores and you can now access luminose north

Route 6: In addition to Venipede being found in those bushes lining the middle path, I also got an Audino by the same method.

EDIT: Should clarify - there are actually larger bushes on this route; those are the ones that can have Pokemon. They shake occasionally when there's a Pokemon there, so you can tell if you'll have an encounter when you approach it.

Route 3: One of my relatives has reportedly sighted Pikachu on this route multiple times.

Route 7: I have found Smeargle in that Route.

Glittering Cave: Spotted a Lunatone in the cave. Also, Woobat can randomly attack you from above in the area with the Team Flare grunts (step on their shadows). Ferroseed attacks you in the same method as Woobat.

Route 12
Exploring this route is blocked until after you beat Korrina at the Gym [But there is still 2 grassy sections you can use]

Wild Pokemon: Miltank, Tauros, Exeggcute, Pachirisu, Wingull [Horde], Chatot, Slowpoke

Wild Pokemon [Past the Surf Point]: Tauros, Miltank, Mareep [Horde]
I just ran into a couple of Mareep hordes in the first section of grass (the top patch), while the rest of the route is still blocked off.

Route 10: Electrike is here too!

EDIT: Apparently Houndour and Electrike are version exclusives. Houndour is in X and Electrike is in Y.

EDIT 2: Also got a Yanma horde on Route 10.

I found the following Pokemon on Route 11 that haven't been mentioned in this thread:

Throh
Dedenne
Hariyama
Stunky (singular and in hordes)
Nidorino
Nirodan-M and Nidoran-F (in hordes)

In all Nidoran hordes, I always got 4 males and 1 female. I think that Y favours the male and X favours the female. I think Nidorina might be more common in X and Nidorino is more common in Y based on my experience with them, but both are available in both games.

Throh and Sawk are version exclusive. Throh is in Y and Sawk is in X.

a few addenda to wild pokemon:
Route 8: dwebble can be found via rock smash
Reflection Cave: roggenrolas (unfortunately) appear in hordes
Route 12: heracross, slowpoke and chatot can be found on either side of the route, the other wild pokemon presumably as well
Azure Bay (north of Route 12): you can find wild dwebble and binacle via rock smash, and tentacool/mantyke while surfing
Route 13: slugma can be found via rock smash
Route 14: quagsire and weepinbell can be found by walking, stunfisk by surfing; in fact, quagsire seems to be the most common pokemon to be found while walking around

I've gotten more male Nidoran/Nidorino than female on route 11 as well, and I have X. They may just be more common regardless.

EDIT: Three Nidoran-M hordes with one Nidoran-F, none the other way.

EDIT again: Hidden Hyper Potion near the stairs to the Sky Trainer on route 11, and a hidden Thunderstone right near the Sky Trainer.

Solosis appears in B1F in Reflection cave.
