If a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush . . .

How much are two birds and two bushes worth on my team?

btw, sorry if I ramble a bit. 2a here and I'm almost out of it.

Talonflame @ Flying Gem
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Flare Blitz
- U-Turn
- Tailwind

Offensive Tailwind Support and my go-to lead if I expect a fast lead or grass lead. Bashes its wittle head against opposing teams, then gives a final farewell with Tailwind. Usually the first to die unless I can maintain momentum with U-Turn

EV spread and Nature is to outrun Max Positive Speed Jiraichi and threaten with Flare Blitz. Flying Gem to make Acrobatics hit like a space-truck the first time.

Breloom @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Rock Tomb

All-Out Aggro with Spore. Rock Tomb over Low Sweep because Rock Tomb *ahem* is so much better than Low Sweep ever was now. Why? Because it provides coverage against all three common resists to Fighting+Grass. Also, Tailwind-boosted Spore opens up a lot of opportunities.

EV spread and Nature is fairly standard, though Jolly over Adamant because I had a bad experience with Shell Smash Barbaracle.

Aegislash @ Lum Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw

Sweepin' all day every day. Fighting/Ghost coverage is infinitely better than Steel/Ghost coverage, and doubling up on Ghost coverage for utility cases (muscling through with Shadow Claw or picking off faster target with Shadow Sneak).

EV Spread could be tweaked a bit, but the gist is to have bulk while in Shield Stance and to have damage while in Sword Stance.

Tyranitar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 180 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
- Fire Blast
- Crunch

Now on to more experimental builds. Even with the Negative Min SpDef, Sand Stream with Assault Vest makes Tyranitar's SpDef effectively 477, far surpassing Blissey's Positive Max SpDef. In fact the only special attack it has trouble tanking with this spread is Focus Blast.

Originally, Tyranitar was designed to be a mixed wall-breaking tank. However, I'm starting to have 4MS Syndrome really bad with him.

EV Spread is so I can at least say I tried when I'm hit with a Physical Attack (it has saved my behind a few times) while enabling better special tanking.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 232 HP / 56 SAtk / 220 Spd
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Standard Rotom build, though I'm completely sold on Pain Split as either a form of offense or recovery. Hydro Pump and Volt Switch give me decent coverage, strong STABS, and a somewhat decent Volturn core when Talonflame stays alive.

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate-->Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Crunch
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough

Didn't feel good with Heatran, so I decided to try Mega-Mawile. And this thing is amazing: it's essentially a better pivot than Aegislash because of Intimidate into MeVo attack on the switch. Dark Fairy coverage is excellent outside of Mawile itself and Klefki, and doubling up Dark for the same reasons as Aegislash, except Crunch is for when they try to pull shenanigans and Play Rough doesn't hit for better.

Oh and let's face it: at 50 Base Spd, Mawile ain't outrunning anything relevant.

===

Overall: the team works well offensively without a pivot. With five unique attack immunities, two spore immunities, one hypnosis immunities, one burn immunity, two toxic immunities, one paralysis immunity and one Lum Berry as a contingency plan, all it takes is a good read and I can make a switch.

However as the battle goes on, and my team gets dismantled piece by piece, is when it struggles.

For Talonflame, I think you should use Flying Gem Acrobatics. No Recoil, nearly as strong. I see it everywhere, and I use it myself.

I prefer Stone Edge or Swords Dance over Rock Tomb, but that's your call.

I really like the team overall. Why not Volt Switch over U-Turn? In case you run into a Ground Type?

Your team really hates Burns from Rotom, so I would strongly suggest testing out a Heatran or something.

Very solid, overall. 8/10

Much Ludvisc!

I just don't see why this team needs mawile at all. If you need an intimidate user- use lando t. It can set up rocks very easy, bait in espeons and u-turn on switch in. It's a better pivot and checks so much in the current meta. It also has fantastic synergy with rotom-w.

Or if you don't want to use lando t (can't imagine why, you already have TWO set up sweepers/cleaners) then ATLEAST try a mold breaker excadrill for spinning away hazards for your talonflame. I believe you cannot run a team with talonflame effectively without a spinner. Excadrill can also set up rocks and it breaks through magic bounce so it's a guaranteed set up.

But you should definitely consider lando t over mawile who is current adding nothing to your team.

Also your Aegislash set is pretty bad IMO. It's very easy to counter and things like rotom can burn it with no worries. Your team lacks anything on the special side so why don't you try a different mon out? As you already have a set up mon in talonflame. Something like, Gengar? But if you're adamant on aegis then try out a wall breaker set.

Btw make that rotom set specially defensive. There's no reason for a bulky attacker set on your team.

Landorus-T @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 64 Atk / 200 HP/ 244 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rocks
- U-Turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

(Note: these Evs are outdated but still work effectively)

Aegislash @ Life Orb
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 88 Atk / 252 SpA / 168 Spe
Rash Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power Ice
- Sacred Sword

I will go more in depth when I'm off work, but I will say that while I recognize that Aegislash can be forced out with counters and checks, once those are weakened or eliminated, there's no reason for him not to sweep.

Having said that, your set could work like that if SD was over HP Ice.

Also what would ya say bout Latios over Mawile? Gives me a defogger a special attacker and a ... nvm: does not work as I intended. But I am using Crobat now as a stall-breaker/defogger.
