The only thing instacheck did was to decrypt the code to watch the IV's and shiny value and such of a pokémon, nothing was wrong with it. Cloning many ppl have no issue with, and it can be compared, allthough cloning is considered worse due to duplicating stuff.

There's no rules regarding it seeing the IV's is no different than hatching the egg, going to battle institute to raise it to level 50 freely, typing the information into a calculator and resetting for it, declining the first egg at the daycare and accepting the second (if you didn't like the spread) o.o
