There's a very high chance it will pasd 5 iv from either parent...so it could use 3 from ryranitar and 2 from the other. Or 4 from obe 1 from the other.

you'd trade your pokemon from your gen5 version to their gen5 version.
they upload to their pokebank and transport it to their x/y version.. then trade it back over to your x/y version.

its tougher when you want to do a whole box of pokemon as you'd have to trade each pokemon back and forth, one by one.

.. though I'm just after transporting one pokemon.. incase I scare anyone off lol

No the destiny knott doesnt prioritise the iv that are 31. They randomly carry any over even the bad ones.
