"Good grief this is probably going to go from bad to worse..."

Delibird: Ice Shard (Ho-Oh) > Ice Punch (Ho-Oh)

Regirock: Rock Slide > Smack Down (Ho-Oh)

Umbreon: Shadow Mend (Regirock) > Chill

Aromatisse: Heal Pulse (Regirock) > Chill

As much as I want to heal Snorlax, I cannot run the risk of Regirock dying with all these repeated weather balls meaning it will not be able to live beyond A1 next round assuming Slowking decides to heal itself. The good news however is that Snorlax has barely enough HP to survive two rift damages, enough for Umbreon to save Snorlax temporarily next round. Snorlax has enough EN to Rock Slide > Some powerful neutral blow this round. Golurk should do the same thing. Eelektross needs to attack & chill. Slowking needs to chill then either heal itself or Snorlax if you want to be really safe. From here on in we kinda need to be as flawless as we can, but even then, I guess our fate ultimately comes down to luck... Which has not been kind on us... Especially with the diversity we have... :|

Round 9

While Umbreon and Aromatisse try frantically to balance their exhaustion and Grandstone's health by alternating breaks with blasting beams of restoration, the rest of the team goes on the offensive, dealing tremendous amount of damage to the defensively weaker Ho-Oh. The rocks definitely seem more effective against this bird, at least. Unfortunately, Ho-Oh is also the offensively stronger one of the two, evident in the powerful water blasts that almost completely negate the healing of Grandstone's teammates. As Bagthru attacks the Ho-Oh with increasingly powerful and desperate moves – nobody's going to save the poor Snorlax? – yet another frightening rift pops out of the ground; you haven't seen this type of rift thus far.

Oh, and the never-ending downpour ends, replaced by a bright sun ray – that's the first one you've seen since encountering these birds.

Delibird: Ice Shard (Ho-Oh) > Ice Punch (Ho-Oh)

Regirock: Chill > Rock Slide

Umbreon: Shadow Mend (Snorlax) > Chill

Aromatisse: Light Screen (Glyph) > Heal Pulse (Regirock)

Slowking must Heal Pulse Regirock A1 to keep it alive guaranteed for the round then chill. Snorlax & Golurk must chill A1 & then attack. Eelektross has enough EN to attack twice this round with Rock Slide then Spark. Not much else to say, but if you do not think Light Screen is necessary, then let me know. If you also feel that we need to forfeit, do not be afraid to suggest that we should, but only if our chances of winning are virtually zero. It is probably going to head that way soon enough, but we still have a chance. All it requires is luck... luck that we do not have...

EDIT: Engineer Pikachu remember that Fire or Psychic can still be rolled for an Unstable Rift at the present point.

Round 10

As Umbreon and Aromatisse struggle to keep up with the team's healing needs, Ulutiu joins in and heals up the Snorlax, keeping it alive despite one of the rift's continual pulsing. As half of the remaining forces take a quick breather, the rest of the team attacks the Ho-Oh relentlessly, managing to deal a decent chunk of damage. Meanwhile, the Ho-Oh blasts a jet of solar energy at Grandstone – it does a lot of damage since Light Screen has just worn off, but Aromatisse patches it up immediately afterwards.

The teams' attacks continue without pause, managing to harm the Ho-Oh quite a bit, but the damage from the elemental rifts are becoming rather extreme; the spawning of another rift does little to aid this problem, but at least the skies have cleared up.

Umbreon: Shadow Mend (Snorlax) > Chill

Orders are kinda non-negotiable, as we kinda no choice here. Snorlax has to Chill then Last Resort. Slowking can either Heal Pulse Regirock or Slack Off, then Chill. Golurk has to use Shadow Punch then Rock Slide, sacking itself as it is very much going to die. Eelektross must Chill then Rock Slide. Not much else to say here, but we have no choice but to let Golurk go with two rifts damaging it at once... :|

Round 11

The raid team continues to fight on, but exhaustion is showing clearly; most of them are forced to take a break after every action. Nevertheless, Grandstone remains healthy in spite of the Ho-Oh's repeated beams of solar rays thanks to the three members who continually send off beams of healing, keeping everyone as healthy as possible. Unfortunately, the rifts are just dealing too much damage for them to handle, and the Golurk goes down after unleashing a few powerful attacks.

Nothing else seems to be working against you so far; a new rift with an unfamiliar energy signature opens up, and the sunlight remains bright and clear.

You forgot Light Screen on Ho-Oh's attacks. Take note that Ho-Oh's Solar Beam—as it looked like it used—is not present in the A2 calcs.

zarator your remaining Pokémon can just repeat last round's actions though Slowking can use Slack Off A1 imo.

Round 12

The raid team repeats their working strategy of healing up Grandstone and Bagthru, while Ulutiu takes care of itself. Grandstone does a tremendous amount of damage to the Ho-Oh with two consecutive attacks, easily amounting to over half the total damage done thus far. For a desperation strike, Bagthru's blows are also dealing a significant amount of damage, in no small thanks to his tribal belly drumming earlier on. The Ho-Oh is still going strong, however, blasting Grandstone with jets of solar energy, one after the other; one of them manages to find a weak point, dealing much more damage than expected.

In a continued streak of bad luck, the weather turns inclement and rainy, and yet another rift spawns – this one, however, does not bode well.

Round 13

The new rift seems to trigger a change in strategies: aside from Umbreon, Aromatisse, and Ulutiu, who continue to take turns firing off healing beams at teammates, everybody else takes a full-on offensive approach, burning the last of their energy reserves. Without aid from teammates, Bagthru launches two powerful strikes before succumbing to the long-present Normal-type rift and his exhaustion combined. The rest of the team is still standing, but perhaps not for long; fueled by the downpour of rain, the Ho-Oh blasts Grandstone with two water-imbued orbs, and, together with the new rift, brings Grandstone precariously low despite the healing it receives.

...and just like always, another portal opens up on the summit, leaving it looking more like a demonic anthill than anything else. As a small plus, though, the rain stops as suddenly as it started, and the weather returns to being bright and cheerful!

You forgot Aromatisse's Heal Pulse for Regirock; it should have 20 more HP.

"Oh hey, this is not all too bad I guess??? On the downside, I am afraid that it is the end for you Aromatisse, but we cannot take any risks now!"

Delibird: Chill > Ice Punch (Ho-Oh)

Regirock: Chill > Rock Slide

Umbreon: Chill > Shadow Mend (Regirock)

Aromatisse: Heal Pulse (Regirock) > Heal Pulse (Regirock)

zarator this is self explanatory, but the only option you have this round is:
Actions said:
Slowking: Heal Pulse (Regirock) - Chill
Eelektross: Chill - Spark
We deal 70 Damage, Regirock stays alive for another round & has a net gain of 14 HP (48 left) assuming no critical hits. IDK if we should renew screens next round or not, but the most important thing to note here is that the Bug Rift might have very well saved this raid from wiping.

Round 14

Though the healing continues, the team is beginning to buckle underneath the relentless pulsing of the rift, and Aromatisse sacrifices itself to send off one last beam of healing towards Grandstone. The Ho-Oh pays back with devastating strikes, but it appears to be getting exhausted as well. It's only a matter of time before one party emerges victorious.

"Well Slowking is going to go down, but I guess it is only a matter of time before we win this."

Delibird: Chill > Ice Punch (Ho-Oh)

Regirock: Smack Down (Ho-Oh) > Rock Slide

Umbreon: Chill > Shadow Mend (Regirock)

Well Slowking is going down which means that it will only get one heal off, but the most likely attack (Earth Power) only deals 17 Damage. This will total 54 DMG to Regirock without crits, leaving it with 34 HP after calculations; more than enough to get one attack off the next round. We are probably only going to have 66 HP left to take off this next round, a total that is easily achieved when Umbreon starts attacking again. In case I am not making myself clear enough zarator, the obvious option for you is:

Round 15

While everybody takes a quick breather, the Ho-Oh blasts Grandstone with an overload of electricity, causing it to stutter in its steps every once in a while. Ulutiu recognizes the dangers that the rifts now pose to him and sends off one last beam of healing before falling to the ground. Meanwhile, the hail pounds on the entire team, with only Kringles escaping unscathed. As the entire team attacks in retaliation, the Ho-Oh erupts a small patch of ground underneath Grandstone, knocking it up and striking critically; the rest of the team seems to have sniper scopes on as well, however, as they all strike hard too!

"A minor spanner in the works it might be, but an issue it is not. Finish this!"

Delibird (Yay Artefacts): Heal Bell > Ice Punch (Ho-Oh)

Regirock: Rock Slide > Rock Slide

Umbreon: Foul Play (Ho-Oh) > Foul Play (Ho-Oh)

All Eelektross needs to do at this point is use Spark twice. Regirock is guaranteed a Rock Slide before it goes down & by my calcs, Delibird will finish the job with the last of its Energy. 20+16+32+20=88 DMG or up to 124 after the other attacks. For the glory!

Round 16

The raid team launches an all-out offensive after Kringles rings the dinner bell; even Umbreon joins in, even though it exhausts itself of all its energy after one attack. Dendar launches itself recklessly at the Ho-Oh, and Grandstone chucks more rocks from its seemingly infinite store. The Ho-Oh launches two rapid attacks, draining Grandstone's health and finally blasting it to bits, but its vitality seems dangerously low. Indeed, after Kringles and Dendar strike once more each, the Ho-Oh finally falls, defeated. The two Pokemon drop to the ground as well, having depleted all of their energy, but the mission is complete!

Congratulations, Its_A_Random and zarator, on your success!

Each player receives the following:

2 CC (zarator: 5 CC)
16 KOC
3 MC (each Pokemon)
5 Valor Counters
Glyph of Earth Power:
Reduces the energy cost of Earth Power by 1.
Glyph of Recover: Allows Recover to be used on other friendly targets, at the cost of 14 energy instead of [Max HP/10] + 2.
Glyph of Brave Bird: Prevents the recoil damage of Brave Bird and raises its power by 1.
Glyph of Dragon Rush: Raises the accuracy of Dragon Rush by 25% and its power by 1.
Sanctified Ashes of the Phoenix God: Raises the power of Fire-type attacks by (7). If the holder is a Fire-type, reduces the energy cost of Heal Pulse, Recover, and Shadow Mend by (2), and causes these moves to regenerate 2 energy to their target when used on other friendly targets. "And from the ashes it was reborn..."

I receive 64 UC for reffing.

(where does it say 16)

-Foul Play should have only costed 8 EN, so Umbreon would have lived to attack A2.
-Giga drain deals 15 Damage. Solar Beam deals 21 Damage. 21 × 0.75 = 15.75 ~ 16. Giga Drain should not have been used?
-Basically this means that Eelektross still lives & Umbreon is probably still alive should Ho-Oh not use Giga Drain.

Also, where is my Tainted Ash? I might have beaten Raikou, but I have never actually beaten EotS before (Which means it did not count towards quest blah blah blah)? Unless that is a NM only reward?

"Well we might have had many casualties... But we did it. At last. Now then, what to do next..."

Thanks Engineer for reffing & thanks zarator for being a great partner for this raid! ^_^
