The 252 HP on Chansey makes a pretty big difference when you use Chansey as a mixed-tank. Its true purpose is stopping Special Attackers, but do not forget the absolutely huge amount of defense it gets. 252 / 252+ Chansey has approximately the bulk of a Weezing (a pretty good RU wall), and is far-and-above 252/252 Rotom-W and Sableye(premier OU physical walls... but because of Volt Switch, Typing and Levitate)
Do I have permission to use these calcs in my thread?

EDIT: Apologies for my 1st generation chansey comment, edited. Counter has been added to the OP.

Counter's also good but has a pretty high risk on getting your Chansey into trouble. Well, It's true that Counter's a good move for Chansey but I think it will not be that helpful if Chansey's got 1HKO'd by a physical attack. It's also useless against Psyshock users and Physical Ghost Pokemon like Sacred Sword Aegislash. Seismic Toss' a play safe move for Chansey but Counter really gives a lot of stakes in battle.
It's really hard to 1hko Chansey, unless its hit by a really powerful physical fighting move like High Jump Kick or Focus Punch.

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 378-446 (53.6 - 63.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Mega Garchomp Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 318-375 (45.1 - 53.2%) -- 33.2% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 372-438 (52.8 - 62.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 582-686 (82.6 - 97.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Superpower vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 570-672 (80.9 - 95.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Sure, go on ahead. I recommend you play with them yourself. It helps to understand the numbers on your own: http://pokemonshowdown.com/damagecalc/

And if you're feeling adventurous, checkout my Skarmcents / Blisscents calculations in my signature.

Thanks, this calcs will go on the thread. :]

I think the only relevant support option left unstated is Gravity. While it seems rather gimmicky, Gravity can serve as a reasonable fourth move on a soft boiled set, and support a number of Chansey's most popular teammates, most notably Landorus-I/T.

The incorporation of Gravity into Chansey's set can take some set-up pressure off of Sheer Force Landorus, often a team's only gravity setter, but rarely the only beneficiary. This addition to the blob allows Lando to focus on doling out damage/setting rocks/boosting once switched in.

This combination pairs well with several OU mainstays, including Aegislash (who enjoys a Head Smash buff), Keldeo (patched accuracy for hydro pump) and Kyurem-B (an uncanny ability of forcing switches, and causing pain under a sub).

Incorporating Sticky Web through Galvantula, or a hazard stacking Deo-D takes full advantage of this strategy.

At the end of the day, it is worth a shot.

It could work, I could slash it with counter and toxic on the team support set.

That's already been posted before. And being fair, there isn't many mistakes other than those that stand out.
yet i still read the line -"was worthless in 1st gen", which has been mentioned to be true and the thread is littered with silly comments. The issues with this thread have not been fully fixed and should have been.

Wish + Softboiled is much better on Chansey than Wish + Protect, due to the fact that people can take advantage of protect and set up or switch, and softboiled gives you much more reliable recovery. Wish Protect sucks on chansey, dont use it. Also, Chansey completely outclasses Blissey and it's an outrage that chansey is used less than blissey.
