Decent-ish game on the ladder of all places :P
Turns 40-62 are yveltal S L O W L Y securing the win but there were mindgames involving Dragon Tail from his Giratina that made it somewhat interesting

Turn 1: I completely forgot my Keys existed but it worked out in my favor because a surprise Grasseus ended up coming in. Could have turned out a lot worse.
Turn 13: Should Have just used Foul Play
Turn 25: Letting Grassy come in for free was a mistake; should have doubled into Dialga or Yveltal
Turn 30: Sending out Keys was me trying to be cheeky and it not paying off at all because Grassy was near full in the endgame anyways despite the Spikes Klefki set
Turn 34: No reason to Bullet Punch, thank goodness it didn't hurt me any
Turn 37: Curiosity (of how much Stone Edge would do) got the best of me here and it let his Grasseus get a Recover + Defog off, making my Klefki useless
Turn 41: This was extremely aggressive and unnecessary

All other plays I stand beside for one reason or another

I would be flattered if you picked this battle apart and told me what parts of my play-style you disagree with and how I can improve as a player. I would like to join more tournament play including trying out for UPL at some point so any advice is welcomed. I have also been playing competitive since late DPP so there is no reason for me to still be this soft :P

Edit: this match was taken at 3:30 AM... That might explain the Bullet Punch

Why did you foddered Palkia? Keys were at full health so imo no reason to fodder it and if ur opponent would have played smart he would have rest stalled ur Attacks lol

I don't fully understand that play on Turn 33, care to explain that to me? (not trying to sound rude)

I was hoping he would see Keys coming and make an extremely aggressive switch into Ho-Oh so I stayed in a Hydro Pumped. Ho-Oh probably would have caused me to lose something if it got in right there but I guess I lost something anyways. (Especially because I didn't know it wasn't banded at that point)
Ya, that's the problem with a no hazards end game and this is why I wanted to apply so much pressure to Grasseus (except for the Stone Edge incident) mid game. It was a war of attrition in all honesty. I would have resorted to switch stalling along side him of he did play those last few turns smarter. He probably would have come out on top though.

I was trying to apply pressure to Grassy since Luc had a small chance to OHKO Grassy from where it was. It was my best shot at preventing a Defog at that point. Unfortunately, the switch to Grassy didn't happen and Luc ended up taking a full sized Turkey Bird to the face :(

He didn't really have a reason to switch, if you tried to set up, Sacred Fire might burn you (he misplayed by not going for it), if you kill Ho-Oh with Groundceus, then he gets a free defog with Grassceus. Maybe just evaluate what your opp has to lose before making risky plays like that in future, thats my advice.

These matches weren't that good. None of your opponents were that great, and 4 of your six pokemon are ranging from bad to downright awful in Ubers (Tangela and Rhydon). The battles we are looking for in this thread are solid close matches showcasing top threats and undiscovered sets.

That's where you are wrong, the old thread worked like that, but not this thread. See below.

That and you can share shitty games where your team is 6-0'd by lead xerneas or the like. You can also share beating up your friends with eevelutions or something. Basically, same general thing as the replays thread form last gen.
