NFE battle option when looking for a battle

i would like to see a NFE meta where we can use 2nd evoultion pokemon and have more strategies for NFE pokemon. Another thing is that i would want to see how popular it would become if you added it and see if you would want to keep it or remove from the server, but i'd appreciate it if you can discuss this for a few days.

hows that not a mini-ou without mega evolutions? rather pointless.

it's not pointless, the reason why it isn't pointless is because it will give more usage to not fully evolved pokemon and create a new meta that might be fun and competitive experience.

They made a metagame called Middle Cup a while back. If you search for it, you can find the page; it's exactly what you've described.

We had Middle Cup as an OMotM but it's now only available when challenging people to battles.
Edit: Ninja'd but my points stands that you can still challenge people to it.

You can still make teams for metagames that are unrated, there's not a format option in teambuilder for it though. You can label it as "Middle Cup" through editing the team as text in backup/restore teams.
