Ok, so the winner for the 3rd Pokemon is Stealth Rock Ferrothorn. However, there is some contention over the posted EV spread so I'm going to open it up to some discussion about better spreads before starting the nomination process for the next Pokemon. Here was the posted set again:

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
- Power Whip

I think we need still need a mostly physically defensive EV spread to take on Azumarill, Gyarados etc., but with a bit of special defense to switch in on more comfortably on Greninja, which does a fair amount with Life Orb Ice Beam, and Power Whip only does 59 - 70.2% in return to an Ice type Greninja, meaning that we need to switch in, Protect, Leech Seed, Protect then Power Whip. Maybe 252 HP / 208 Def / 48 SpD with an Impish Nature to hit an EV jump point?

The rare HP Fire Greninja can currently OHKO all three of our Pokemon, so we probably need to cover that threat with one of our remaining selections.

Ferrothorn EV spread Submission:
evs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpD
Nature: Impish
IVs: 0 Spe

This is from the standard set given here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/ferrothorn-qc-3-3.3502532/#post-5401922
The logic (with due credit to Colonel M for the fantastic analysis) is as follows:
The given EVs allow Ferrothorn to circumvent physically offensive threats while also preventing Greninja’s Ice Beam from 3HKOing Ferrothorn as well as Tail Glow Manaphy’s Ice Beam from 2HKOing.
I feel as though since the people writing the analysis had more experience with Ferro than I do imo we should go with this - it offers a little more special bulk without compromising much on physical bulk.

252/ HP / 216 Def / 40 SpD Impish is the spread that we'll use. As mentioned, it provides a little more special bulk that is key for avoiding certain KO's while still being mainly physically defensive. Also normal Speed IVs with Impish is better than 0 Speed IVs/Relaxed because we are not using Gyro Ball.

Our current team is as follows:

Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Agility
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Dragon Pulse

Gengar @ Black Sludge
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 28 HP / 148 SAtk / 80 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
- Power Whip

Nominations for the 4th Pokemon are now open!

Nominating Scarf Excadrill.

Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

Scarf Excadrill covers many of the problems the current 3 Pokemon face, which include a lack of hazard control, getting swept by DD Dragonite, DD ZardX, SD Mega Pinsir, as well as DD Mega T-tar with Fire Punch. The team so far has no real way to power past a bulky fairy like CM Clefable(Gengar loses if one CM has been set up). Also, its weaknesses are all completely covered by its fellow teammates. Scarf Excadrill provides valuable support by being able to revenge kill and rapid spin on the same set and is a great Pokemon for this team.

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 240 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Waterfall

Azumarill is an excellent pick for our fourth pokemon, as it offers power, priority, valuable resistances, and has strong type synergy with our team so far, forming a Fairy/Steel/Dragon core with Mega Ampharos and Ferrothorn. Azumarill's three weaknesses are all resisted by two or more of the three pokemon currently on our team, and Azumarill's resistances and Dragon immunity also complement our team. While Azumarill can run a variety of items, I think an Assault Vest set would be best, to fit with the balanced nature of our team, as we're not providing the best team support for a Belly Drum set. With the Special Defense boost, good coverage, and access to priority, Azumarill can check the majority of special attackers in OU, while Ferrothorn helps cover for many physical attackers. Azumarill's power can also help wallbreak for a late-game Mega Ampharos sweep. If we pick Azumarill in the 4th slot, then we need to cover for some of the remaining weaknesses that Azumarill can't reliably help the team with, such as Mega Pinsir and breaking through Mega Venusaur.

Hey this is a pretty cool thread & it's too bad it's slowed down some. The team so far looks powerful... but building off what Hjwang said fast dragons in general and Mega Zard X in particular rip the whole team a new one.

So, I moseyed on over to the Victim of the Week thread to find something to handle Zard X and I'm blatantly stealing this gem from alexwolf

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave
- Slack Off

T-Wave Slowbro puts all sorts of Dragon Dancers in check, from Zard X to Mega Gyara to DDnite. Spreading Thunder Wave also takes some of the pressure off Ampharos to have to set up an Agility before it can be useful late-game. Slowbro has strong type-synergy w/ Ferrothorn & we've got Gengar to cockblock Chansey and other Toxic-spamming walls. Some things to consider: it might be worth running a specially defensive set for Ferro rather than two physical walls. Mega Zard Y still dismantles the pair of them. Some specific special walls (Foul Play Umbreon) would still need to be targeted & broken down.

Currently, Psychic Landorus-I and HP Fire Greninja hit all three of the Pokemon extremely hard. Dragon Dancers are a huge problem as well. Here's a suggestion that can help deal with all of them.

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA/ 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

Scarf Rotom-W checks both Landorus and Greninja. It also provides decent revenge killing ability by dealing with a few big threats to the core such as DD Gyarados and Mold Breaker Excadrill. It also helps break down some of the Mega Ampharas walls such as Gliscor and Hippodown and can help deal with stall with the use of Trick.

My only concern is that it's coverage is a little redundant with Mega Ampharos.
