Here we go! Welcome to the ASB Arena for the first round of the Sharing is Caring (Kinda) tournament! Friendly neighbourhood Flamestrike here, reffing the match! On one side, we have the Ghost gym leader, zarator, who's ignoring the entire point of the tournament and instead leading off with one of his own Pokemon, Mask the Kitsunoh! And his opponent for today is a newer player in ASB, but certainly no slouch himself, Avnomke! He's decided to go with one of Fighting gym leader Birkal's non-fighting Pokemon, Crayons the Kecleon! This should be a good, close match, so let's not waste any more time! Here! We! GO!

Before Crayons can even get settled on the battlefield, Mask gets us started off, with a blindingly fast Fake Out! The blow knocks Crayons off balance, and sure enough he flinches, leaving Avnomke in an early hole! But before he can get some revenge, the Kecleon has to quickly shield himself with a Protect! And none too soon, as Mask swoops in and tries to knock away Crayons's precious Everstone with a Knock Off! The shield blocks the attack, but wears away, and Mask takes advantage, dashing right back in and nailing the Kecleon with Knock Off, knocking away Crayons's Everstone! However, Crayons finally gets a measure of revenge, roasting the Kitsunoh with a Flamethrower! That evens out the HPs somewhat, but Mask still has his item and a slight HP lead, which means zarator has the early edge! And to make matters worse, Mask's Cursed Body disabled Flamethrower! But there's still plenty of time for Avnomke to make up the lost ground!

And here we go again, time for round two of this SIC(K) tournament battle and things are really heating up! Mask wastes no time going on the offensive, crushing Crayons with a Rock Slide! Good thing he didn't change type last round! However, Crayons stays focused, and with a sudden burst of psychic energy, he's holding Mask's Expert Belt! What a play, using Trick to switch the Pokemon's items even though Crayons had no item after the Knock Off earlier! Mask definitely didn't appreciate losing that Expert Belt though, and gives the Kecleon some payback in the form of a Meteor Mash! Damn, that has to sting! However, it looks like Kecleon is changing type! Hmm... Looks like Protean has changed Crayons to a Ghost type, which means... Yes! A Shadow Ball, direct hit and it's super effective to boot! But Mask is far from done! He comes right back, and WHAM! What an Iron Tail right to the face! But the Kitsunoh has put himself in a vulnerable position, and here comes Crayons with the counterattack! A Shadow Claw right to the face, and yet again it's super effective! A shame Kitsunoh's Frisk is negating the Expert Belt Crayons stole away from Mask, but this match is already heating up as some big hits are being traded! Will we see first blood next round?

And here we go again! This time it's Crayons that starts us off, bracing himself with an Endure, hoping to ensure his survival for the round! Mask has other ideas though and uses Toxic to badly poison Crayons! That's going to make that Endure less than effective! And then Mask dashes in with a Thief! He deals some damage, and to add insult to injury Mask steals back the Expert Belt! However, Mask won't get away with it as Crayons is becoming a Fire type! That can only mean one thing! A Fire Blast, straight to the face! It's super effective, and Mask stumbles from the hit, but recovers enough to strike back! A powerful Earthquake! It's equally super effective, and Crayons is barely hanging on! He can't take much more! But he stays standing, and retaliates! A Fire Punch, dead on! Now Mask is stumbling, fighting to stay up! But he survives! And oh no! Crayons has fainted to the poison! That means zarator takes the early lead, and now Avnomke needs to fight out of a hole. But Mask isn't very healthy, so it's still anyone's game! Let's see who Avnomke chooses as his second Pokemon!

With Crayons down, Avnomke is down to his last Pokemon, but he has four options to go with! Who will he pick? Looks like it's Ilyana the Cincinno! That Hard Stone will make those Rock Blasts hit much harder! And sure enough, she's wasting no time taking advantage of that! A stream of rocks comes crashing into Mask, with a Technician boosted Rock Blast slamming him right in the face! It's not very effective, but with five hits and that Hard Stone boost, plus all the damage Mask has already taken, that's gotta be enough! Right? But wait! Mask is somehow, barely still up! It seems like Mask's Frisk ability negated just enough of the damage to keep Mask alive! This is really not good for Avnomke! And sure enough, there it is: Pain Split! Massive damage to Ilyana, and Mask gets enough HP back to take a few hits! However, now Mask is nearly exhausted! Ilyana's getting desperate now, firing off another Rock Blast, but it's still not very effective and Mask has even more health now than he did at the start of the round, so it's not nearly enough to take the Kitsunoh out, and with the last of his energy, Mask is going to make sure to leave a lasting impression! A massive Superpower! Ilyana is slow to get up, feeling the effects of the super effective blow plus the Pain Split from earlier, but Mask finally collapses, fainting from exhaustion! Avnomke has evened the numbers, but now faces a massive hole, with his final Pokemon already halfway to being fainted and zarator being able to choose any of his four Pokemon to counter the Cincinno! Can Avnomke make a comeback or will we see zarator take the victory?

zarator is still sticking to his own Pokemon, choosing to go with Mystra the Goodra, holding a Dragon Fang! Ilyana, sensing a Dragon attack coming on, burrows underground, hoping to avoid whatever attack Mystra is firing off, but Mystra takes so long to prepare that Ilyana launches her Dig attack before Mystra uses an attack! The attack is super effective, but it doesn't seem to to a whole lot of damage despite that, and to make matters worse Ilyana's Speed is dropped by Mystra's Gooey ability! Oh, and it looks like now that Ilyana is back up, Mystra is finally ready to fire off her attack! A powerful Dragon Tail connects! Boosted by the Dragon Fang, that took a serious chunk out of Ilyana! Still trying to follow her new trainer's orders, Ilyana again burrows underground sensing another Dragon type attack, but it seems like it's another Dragon Tail coming! Sure enough, Ilyana comes back up and slams into Mystra with another Dig attack, and it's still super effective, but her Speed is lowered by Mystra's Gooey ability yet again, and yet again Mystra responds with a powerful Dragon Tail! Now suddenly Ilyana is looking woozy, and with all that goo stuck on her she's been slowed down a lot! Taking advantage of the newfound Speed advantage, Mystra fires off a massive Dragon Pulse! The shockwave of energy slams right into Ilyana, slamming it into the wall of the arena! And when the dust settles, Ilyana has fainted! Looks like that was just too much for the poor Cinccino! And with that, Avnomke has lost two of his Pokemon, which means that zarator is victorious!
