Do Focus Punch and other charge-up moves cause Protean to change the type before the move is used or before the user charges the move? I think the former is the case, and I reffed as if it were the case, but the NDA isn't very clear on this so correct me if I'm wrong.

Kecleon lost its focus

The battle begins. On one side, we have Maxim, and on the other, SubwayJ. Maxim sends out a Kecleon, and gives it some sort of stone, and SubwayJ responds by sending out a Stratagem and giving it a Weakness Policy. This match-up seems about equal.
The first move of the match is Stratagem, charging up a sphere of white light containing the power of the ancients and launches it at the Kecleon, who takes a good amount of damage. Kecleon then launches a weird energy back at Stratagem. Stratagem tries to use Ancient Power again, but finds it disabled by Kecleon's attack. Stratagem struggles against it, but fails.
