Mr.E

unban me from Discord
is a Two-Time Past SPL Champion
Magnetonium listed a lot of my likes, albeit less thoroughly than I would if I wanted, as Brawl has the best game soundtrack ever even though it's mostly just remixes from its various franchises. I'm partial to Shin Onigashima and most of the Kirby stuff. So I'm just gonna list more FFT, because it's one of my favorite games, and Touhou tracks since they haven't much been explored in this topic yet. :P Handpicked best of the best from my favorites.

FFT stuff that isn't Trisection
The Pervert
Under the Stars (My personal favorite and only played in one fight in the entire game. :( )
Unavoidable Battle
Ultima, the Nice Body
Tension
Run Past Through the Plain
Invasion
Holy Angel[a]'s Theme
Hero's Theme
Battle on the Bridge
Back Fire
Apoplexy

2hus - including every mainline Windows game at least once and in chronological order
The Centennial Festival for Magical Girls (EoSD Extra Stage music) (Stage 6 music > Remilia's theme)
Crystallized Silver (PCB Stage 1 Boss - Letty Whiterock's Theme)
Border of Life (PCB Stage 6 Boss - Yuyuko Saigyouji's Theme)
Mystic Oriental Love Consultation (IaMP - Reimu Hakurei's Day Theme)
Love-colored Master Spark (IN Stage 4 [Powerful] Boss - Marisa Kirisame's Theme)
Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess (IN Stage 6 (B) Boss - Kaguya Houraisan's Theme) (fuck I can't put the B in brackets because the board thinks it's a tag for bold text)
Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke (IN Extra Stage Boss - Fujiwara no Mokou's Theme)
Wind God Girl (PoFV - Aya Shameimaru's Theme) (favorite track ever)
Mystic Oriental Dream ~ Ancient Temple (PoFV - Youmu Konpaku's Theme)

ACE ATTORNEY

Announce the Truth: Always one of my fave themes in every game, the original was just so chilling and retro (kinda sounded like castlevania to me) and every game after takes a nice spin on it. It is heavy.

Ace Attorney 1 version
Justice for All version

Trials and Tribulations version this one gets pretty gloomy wow
AAI Miles Edgeworth version Someone say gloomy?
Apollo Justice version we will solve this mystery~
Dual Destinies version AND THIS EPIC THING
oh oh how did I forget these

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (DS ver.)

Courtroom Lounge ~ Beginning Prelude
Ema Skye ~ Tournabout Sisters' Theme 2005
Logic and Trick
The Steel Samurai

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All (DS ver.)

Berry Big Circus
Eccentric
Hotline to Destiny
Investigation ~ Core 2002
Investigation ~ Middle 2002
Trick and Magic

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations (DS ver.)

Dahlia Hawthorne ~ Distant Image
Furio Tigre ~ Swingin' Tiger
Godot ~ The Fragrance of Dark Coffee
Mask☆DeMasque ~ Pleeeeease Listen!

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies (3DS)

Athena Cykes ~ Let's Do This!
Bobby Fulbright ~ In Justice We Trust!
Go Forth! The Amazing Nine-Tails
Phantom ~ UNKNOWN
Simon Blackquill ~ The Twisted Samurai

(nb: some of these titles may be incorrect, my ost was tagged badly and contradicts some of the video titles)

I always loved the character themes in particular, although I think all the games have fantastic soundtracks; the character themes tend to be the most expressive. Whether calm or lively, though, the songs always aptly capture the appropiate mood for where the story's at. I think Justice for All is my favourite musically, but I may just be really biased because it's my favourite AA game and I've listened to its soundtrack more than any of the others. IMO has some of the best location themes out of the series.

Also Layell is right, TWEWY has some great male vocals stuff and I was remiss in not posting some of it!

Super Mario Galaxy 2
Hurry! - Really underappreciated, but it's possibly my favourite piece in the game. So dramatic and epic for a Mario theme, I love it.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (HD)
Forest Haven - I really dig this, so relaxed and catchy. Definitely holds up to its bro Dragon Roost Island.

Kid Icarus: Uprising
Reset Bomb Forest - Great theme to begin with, but the bells REALLY make it. I was so psyched to find out that it's in SSB4

MOTHER 3:
Hard Rain - Just started playing this game a week ago or so and its soundtrack is absolutely wonderful. This theme in particular is a really great mood setter at the beginning of the game.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Zero Two Battle if you've ever finished this game you'll know how iconic and creepy this fight is
Factory Inspection
Ripple Star can u hear the smooth jazz
Miracle Matter *breaks out in breakdance*
Pop Star :D

And here's my Phoenix Wright megalist :^)

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Reminiscience ~ Classroom TrialThis is still one of the most impactful moments of the series for me, no doubt partly because of this song.

PW: Justice for All
Reminiscience ~ True Pain
Reminiscience ~ Scars Carved by Fire ;-;
Great Revival ~ Franziska von Karma

Trials and Tribulations
Detention Center ~ Prisoner's Elegy This one only plays for Iris I think, really haunting and beautiful :(
Reminiscience ~ I Blame You
Reminiscience ~ Cornered BOSS BATTLE TIME WHOA WHOA WHOA
Reminiscience ~ The Bitter Taste of Truth This goes so well with the ending of the last case... x.x
Reminiscience ~ Shadow on Dusky Bridge spooky!

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Objection! (aka Apollo's Objection theme)
Drew Studio
Recollection ~ Forgotten Legend
Detention Center ~ Interview Tragicomedy

Dual Destinies
Reminiscience ~ Forgotten Friendship
Reminiscience ~ Tragic Memories
Reminiscience ~ Stolen-Away Future
Apollo Justice ~ I'm Fine!
Apollo Justice ~ A New Chapter of Trials!
Florent L'Belle ~ Je suis L'Bell

Robot Laboratory ~ Unsearable Past
Yuri Cosmos ~ Head of the Center of the Universe
PL vs. AA
Confess the Truth 2012 Hey, I almost forgot this game existed, but here's some music I just found from it.
Cornered
Cornered ~ Spell Breaker
Objection!

Also - it may be less confusing to categorize PW and AJ into the "Ace Attorney" license :)
I'll probably post VGM from other series in more posts to come :D

Katawa Shoujo (yes it counts imo)
Wisona
Friendship is probably the most melancholy song I've ever heard in a videogame
Moment of Decision
Daylight is my personal favorite, though not as classically moving
Parity people like this for some reason so I'll include it

Mighty Switch Force / Mighty Switch Force 2 is a criminally underground game with basically the catchiest soundtrack I've ever heard
Caught Red Handed is the best intro music I've heard that's not Megaman, and it's even better with the line at the beginning (just look up a playthrough to get what I mean)
Love You Love You Love
Jive Bot
Got2BaStar
Dalmatian Station
Rescue Girl is just the greatest

Borderlands 2
Borderlands doesn't have a lot of memorable music, but its ambient sountrack that changes to more actiony during fights fits it well, and there's a couple very special tracks that just fit perfectly. You can't really judge the music without playing the stages, though.
Firestone
Mad Moxxi's Underdome
Southern Shelf Fight
Bloodshot Dam
Magnys Lighthouse I included just the fight, but the way it transitions is beautiful
Fink's Slaughterhouse

Megaman ZX megaman is well-known for its music, but I'll just drop a couple from my favorite game in the zero series
Green Grass Gradation
Wonder Panorama
Black Burn is a hauntingly beautiful track when you take the setting into account (a civilian highway getting bombed to hell)

This intrigues me a lot because basically every other Phoenix Wright fan I've discussed the titles with is of the mind that it was the weakest of the original trilogy, in part because of the music. I'll admit my bias in that I care most about courtroom themes, but i feel like JFA really fell short there. The cx theme got old quickly, unlike AA's which I could literally listen to for the rest of my life. The pre-trial theme had no tension, unlike TT's which was masterful (linked above). And the cornered theme, which let's admit, is what often motivated me to play a trial to the finish just to hear—at which point i would stop playing and sing along for several minutes—just didn't have enough power to it; it felt almost timid by pursuit standards. (Original and T&T, on the other hand, are amazing to jam to.)

One thing I will admit to, though, is that JFA was on point when it came to reminiscence themes, particularly Mimi Miney's though it's also super cool how they turned Steel Samurai into a reminiscence theme. I should probably stop before I list every song in all three games, because if there's one thing I can fanboy, it's phoenix wright.

I'd love to discuss the comparative merit of the games on a non-music front but as that's beyond the scope of this thread I'll have to stop here

jokes aside,
I don't get the joke :|
EJ came out on several platforms at the same time (including SNES) and the SNES theme was clearly the best. I am not gonna make duplicates for every single platforms so I had to choose.
Great OSTs though, Phoenix is getting a lot of success :pimp:

edit to your edit : genesis sounds suck you sega nerd

Payday: The Heist
Now this series has some great tracks, but like most of the stuff I've posted, you can't get the full effect without being in-game. So...I suggest you buy these lol. Now you're going to have to work with me on these ones. Every one of them will start out extremely slow, in a non-assault/stealth version, but then become way better at the designated time.
Blood Spillage (No Mercy) Assault begins at 1:41
Breech of Security (Diamond Heist) Assault begins at :56
Gun Metal Grey (First World Bank) Inspired by the robbery theme from Heat, assault begins at :44
Menu theme

Payday 2
Beta Loadout
Razormind Assault begins at 1:27
The Mark Assault begins at 2:35
Armed to the Teeth (Armored Transport) Assault begins at :50
Death Wish (Death Wish)
Shadows and Trickery (Election Day) Assault begins at 2:08
The Benevolent (Big Bank) Assault begins at 2:46

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 1/2/3
Hell March

There's a lot of cool stuff in this thread! There's probably one i'd like to mention:
Bastion OST - Excellent game with excellent music, one of the best i've heard so far. There's a variety of instruments used, and the soundtracks really complement the in-game mood. Some of the most memorable ones in the soundtrack:
Get Used to It- Not exactly a track, but this one sets the mood for the rest of the soundtracks. It's a narration of sorts by the game narrator Logan Cunningham.
In Case of Trouble- This track plays in the opening menu, mostly guitar, but it's easily one of the best.
Mine, Windbag, Mine- Pretty intense stuff, this.
Slinger's Song- Classy western-type track, pretty cool.
Build That Wall (Zia's Theme)- This soft music has beautiful vocals in it. It's even better when it plays in the game.
Mother, I'm Here (Zulf's Theme)- Really evokes emotions (much like the others, but yeah). This one was sung by the composer himself, Darren Korb.
Others like Percy's Escape, Bynn The Breaker, The Bottom Feeders are excellent too; listen to them all, actually.

Bastion is a fantastic game. Excellent storyline, excellent artwork (by Jen Zee) and excellent narration that reminds you of Morgan Freeman's. And the music just tops it all off :)

Might as well contribute while I'm motivated. Expect a bit of Sonic, Pokemon, and other things. Sorry if there are repeats from other posts. :(
