sup guys! just wondering.. i thought that the masuda breeding technique only increased the probability from 1/8192 to 5/8192
(about 1/1638) which was increased in gen 5+ to 1/1027 or so with a shiny charm. but i'm reading ratio's of 1/600 all the time 0.o can someone explain this to me? i'm also running eggs for a shiny eevee on soulsilver :) 925/0 :c

any tips are welcome too!!

In X and Y, the normal shiny odds are around 1/4096(I'm not sure if this exact number has been proven yet). In every game before, it's 1/8192. So the Masuda Method + Shiny Charm odds are down in X and Y as well. If the numbers collected in this thread are accurate, then it's about 1/500 odds.
If you're breeding with Masuda Method on Soulsilver, then your odds are about 1/1638 to get that shiny eevee.

I hatch a shiny froakie after 306 eggs thinking I got lucky...then it turned out to have torrent AND an special IV of 22, not the worst but still pretty bad

I have bred only one shiny with the charm, however I did not tally that one.
I am breeding for a shiny skitty, with a japanese ditto and a spanish skitty, and so far I have hatched 1310 eggs, and no shiny.

Nice :D I feel like cheering for you, you've been trying for one for so long.

It wasn't that long, actually. My shiny drought lasted only 1050 eggs, while three or four people on this page alone posted that they have hatched more than that without getting a shiny. ThePokerus's 3200 was just plain unfair! Their shiny charm must have went on vacation or something.

90/1000 - 1 shiny Squirtle! ...with horrendous IVs, as usual. Well, they're actually all perfect except for a 0 in Attack (intentional) and ... a 1 in SpDef. I'm going to keep with the Squirtles, since he's supposed to be a defensive spinner

Okay, well I'm back after taking a long break from breeding/Pokemon and decided to start on my Pancham.... uh.. I got a 5 IV shiny Pancham on the second egg.. I don't even know how but it was absolutely NOTHING compared to how long the shiny Noibat took. I am so happy
