[WIN] Wildfire Plateau (Normal) - Someoneelse and Tortferngatr

A heated wind blows on these scorched cliffs and peaks. No matter where you turn your eyes, nothing you can see past barren rocks, burnt by the cruel sun. Natural bridges consisting of rock tongues suspended over impressive canyons and gulches allow you to get from a cliff to another one. As you walk carefully on one of the cliffs, you suddendly glance a violent spout of boiling vapor breaking through a fissure above your heads. Nevertheless, you keep going until one of the rock bridges bring you at the base of the plateau.

Thin cracks scatter through the ground like webs enveloping the whole sandy surface. There seems to be several higher platforms on the plateau, which you can reach through natural paths. As you are heading towards one of them, though, your eye gets caught by some runes inscribed in a wall of rock. You wonder what they mean, but all of a sudden you glance over a writing in common language, scratched below some of the runes. Ten thousand years of slumber, sealed away in..., and then the writing becomes unreadable. In the end, you decide to continue your walk, as what you seek probably lies at the top of the plateau.

After some more minutes of marching under the incessant drought, you finally arrive on the higher echelons of the plateau. Much to your surprise, an intense verdant light shines under your eyes. Soft blades of grass cover the entire area, despite the rock seems to be way too hard and dry for any kind of life to grow on. While you behold this magnificent meadow, something suddendly draws your attention. A strange bug, similar to a sort of larva, is crawling in the grass, near the center of the meadow. Another local form of life, maybe? You approach it carefully, but then the insect turns fiercely towards you and charges!

Larvesta doesn't seem like it'll be much of a challenge--just have to avoid getting burned by Flame Body. >_<

Round 1

Iron Giant's powers intensify the gravity force, allowing the Rock-type team mates to aim the foe without any fear of an untimely miss. Meanwhile, Float tries to keep the enemy busy, but the Larvesta bites her ferociously, eating her berry in the process!

...ah. Did not expect that. >_<

Looks like Krill's going to need to use Mirror Coat and Helping Hand to deal damage to Volcarona--thankfully the berry regenerates for Moltres.

Also, reminder to Zarator--make sure to remove the LO recoil from Rampy. (Sheer Force interaction)

Rampardos: Double Team-Chill
IF you're top of the threat list when you act turn 2 use Double Team again.
Krill: Waterfall-Hydro Pump

Round 2

Contrary to the team's expectations, Larvesta manages to hang on, draining the required lifeforce directly from the Rampardos. This gives the squad more time to set up, but also exposes the Krilowatt to fierce retaliation from the Bug-type foe.

Alright--ROCK ON EVERYONE!

...Aggron's using Head Smash turn 1, right?

Krillowatt: Helping Hand (Aggron)--Waterfall

Rampardos: Rock Slide -- Rock Tomb

If necessary Krill can re-establish aggro with Follow Me next round--although she still probably can't take Solarbeams/Giga Drains constantly, so we might need to alternate aggro between Aggron and Krill (who can Rest--Sleep Talk (Waterfall, Helping Hand (Aggron), Hydro Pump, Muddy Water) to recover HP if necessary)

Round 4

Volcarona's fiery assaults chew through the team, but the mystical veil prevents any untimely burns. This allows the raid squad to retaliate brutally, leaving the foe significantly weakened - although the wounds do little to soothe its rage.

I think we forgot about Heavy Metal in the damage calcs lol. We might even get enough to 2RKO.

Alright. I think we want Krill taking the Sunfury Dances [thanks to her resistance], so I'm going to have Krill use Follow Me turn 2. Krill can definitely take 25+2+(12+3+4.5+3)*2/3+2=27+(8+2+3+2)+2=27+15+2=44 damage. Even if Sunfury Dance and Solarbeam crit, Krill can live (although no matter what Krill have to Chill next round [43-25-15 energy=3 energy]--and if we get another Heat Wave it might get KOed (well, at least with sufficient hax). Aggron can survive one more Fire Blast (and the rest of the team can take a Heat Wave), and since Golurk is faster (to set up Gravity before Aggron moves) Aggron has no risk of missing Helping Hand Head Smash. (Krill will also likely attract a shitload of aggro (tying from Helping Hand aggro shenanigans) that will be hard for even Stone Edge to exceed--sorry Krill, you'll probably get KOed next round. :( )

Krillowatt: Helping Hand (Aggron)--Follow Me

Rampardos: Rock Slide--Rock Tomb

I would recommend Aggron using Head Smash--Stone Edge and Golurk using Gravity--Stone Edge.

Round 5

Volcarona's fury leave the Aggron on its knees, but the Krilowatt manages to draw the foe's attention before the Steel-type team mate meets its fate. This gives him and the other attackers enough time to finish off the dangerous moth.

Worried about encountering other nasty surprises, you quickly leave the verdant meadow and continue up the path towards the top of the plateau. As you progress in your advance, you reach a bridge of stone, suspended over a pit of lava below. You cross it with upmost care, making your best efforts to not look below. After the bridge, you get to another echelon - high enough to make you think you are close to the top. On a first moment you were going to go through it without much thought, but something catches your eyes all of a sudden. Some flames are flowing through little fissures scattered on the ground. It would be something normal in a place like this, were it not for the fact that the flames are of a light blue and oscillate in an odd manner, making you think for a second they're almost... alive.

Nevertheless, you impute this to a sort of mirage and go on. The path now follows the circular form of the highest echelon, with a tongue of rock surrounding the plateau which allows you to reach the top. Again, something in your mind strongly suggest you not to look down, as you slowly advance through this really narrow route. Luckily for you, the road is not long, and within few minutes you finally are on the very top of Wildfire Plateau. Whichever is the cause of the altered weather, it must be somewhere around here - or at least, that's your guess. You start looking around, but there seems to be no things worth noting. After some time spent searching the place, you resign yourself to come back and look if the problem lies somewhere else. However...

A sudden roar echoes in the air, amplified by the surrounding peaks! You turn frantically your eyes around to see where did that noise come from, then you look above. A magnificent bird, imbued into shining flames, is diving towards you. Luckily, you manage to dodge it, but the bird seems willing to attack again! You prepare your Poké Balls, ready to face the new threat.

...88 HP? Shouldn't Volcarona also end with +2 in Speed/Special Attack/Special Defense?

Oh well.

Regardless of whoever Living Flame hits we can still get high damage out. Even Krill has Natural Gift to utilize.

Krill outspeeds Moltres by 1 point, so she'll bait Moltres's turn 1 attack with Natural Gift and then Moltres's turn 2 attack with Follow Me.

Golurk should use Gravity--Safeguard (Rampardos, Golurk, Aggron) to ward off the normal kind of burns. Aggron should Head Smash--Stone Edge.

Rampardos [Toggle Sheer Force ON]: Rock Slide--Rock Tomb
Krillowatt: Natural Gift--Follow Me

Round 1

The Krilowatt does his best to keep the foe's attention, but he takes a beating from Moltres's powerful assaults. Nevertheless, this also creates an opening for the Rock-types to begin the offense, but the Aggron carelessly burns himself. The Golurk is more careful, but suddenly, the strange, eerie flames that you saw on your way here engulf it completely...

Crud on Flame Body triggering on Aggron before Safeguard could go up. If you want you could have Aggron use Iron Defense (for rock and steel-types it removes poison and burn).

It's great that the Living Flame is on Golurk, though--it's already got minimal aggro.

Rampardos can take a round of Solarbeams/Steel Wings thanks to having 110 base health, then switch the aggro back to Krillowatt.

Rampardos: Rock Slide--Rock Tomb

Krillowatt: Natural Gift--Hydro Pump
