"Well, this isn't good. I hope I sacrificed enough goats to get hax today!"

The telepathic words echo in your mind as you return here. It seems that the "ironic last words" of the Heatran you defeated have come back to haunt you.

A recent challenger has managed to capture Heatran--but strangely enough (well, perhaps not as strange as managing to successfully observe Heatran primary sex characteristics in the first place), it seemed to be female--which from what you can tell, wasn't the voice you heard when you came here the first time. (Fuji also didn't seem to recognize the Heatran IAR caught--probably a more reliable indicator.)

You've decided to come back to this Arceus-and-or-Helix-forsaken place to investigate again. The hazards here have long since been mapped, and you've prepared again--this time, if there IS another Heatran here, you certainly aren't letting it plop back into the lava to lick its wounds. You're going to catch that thing. And this time, you won't be stopped by hax.

Well, at least if the Jirachi voodoo doll you've brought really does work.

Anyways, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?

A. I AM READY FOR THIS.

B. I'M GOING TO BEAT A VERY BRAVE RETREAT.

Black Sulphur Caldera is a deep and blackened pit that once erupted in a massive fiery explosion many hundreds of years ago. The terrain is now mostly barren with torched and odorous burns across its face. Nothing lives within miles of the area, not even Fire-type Pokemon, as the land is so inhospitable that very little can sustain life above ground. At the base of the caldera, however, there exists a small pit that recently opened up due to seismic activity. Some Pokemon trainers have ventured into the pit to explore, only to return with their whole Pokemon team fainted and them babbling nonsense about the magma demon therein. Intrigued, you prepare your Pokemon and decide to explore it yourself. Hopefully you'll find yourself better prepared than those others before you.
Your options:
a) Enter Black Sulphur Caldera
b) Leave Black Sulphur Caldera

No maps (unless I volunteer someone from Smeargle's Studio to make maps to edit in)because I have no idea how to draw BSC. Timeless Tower is a different story, that also seems to do very well with Powerpoint drawings.

Also, why XenForo did you not save my draft of this post before ;_;

You enter the pit, entering a maze of boulders.

Arena: Boulder Maze

Rocks are everywhere, and the darkness seems all-consuming. There is a faint glow about the arena that allows your Pokemon to almost see, but at the same time, they just can't aim properly in this blackness. There is no water anywhere nearby, but nothing about the arena seems to hinder you in any other way. Hopefully all of the areas you battle in here will be this benign.

Summary:

Arena Type: Cave
No water source present.
One (1) stage accuracy drop for Pokemon without Rock, Ground, or Dark typing that is maintained at the end of each round.

------------------------------------
"ONIXNIXNIONIONINIXOXINNIXINXIXINOXISON?"
"LarlarvtarilarvitarilarviTARLARVITAR?!!!"

It seems you catch the lackeys off guard. Slowking relays their conversation telepathically.

"SO, DID YOU HEAR ABOUT PETRA LAST WEEK? SOME REALLY STRONG TRAINER WITH A NIDOKING AND A FIDGIT CAME IN HERE LAST WEEK AND CREAMED HER."
"For the last time, I know alread-OH SWEET HELIX IT'S THEM."

Onix: Earthquake, Earthquake
IF Fidgit uses Wide Guard, use Dig (Fidgit) and push actions back.
IF Slowking uses a damaging Water-type move against you and this substitution did not previously trigger, use Dig (Fidgit) and push actions back.

Larvitar: Crunch (Slowking), Crunch (Slowking)
IF Slowking is Protected when you attack, Dig (Fidgit) instead.
IF Slowking uses a damaging Water-type move against you and this substitution did not previously trigger, use Dig (Fidgit) and push actions back.

Alright--sorry about the long delay. You did say you'd have reduced activity; meanwhile my preliminary formatting posts weren't saved.

I'll get this up over the next day step by step then let you know via IRC or profile message that it's ready. Alright, finished.

The Larvitar scampers away, clearly conceding to the barrage of attacks against it. Fidgit and Nidoking certainly don't seem to be enjoying Onix's Earthquake spam, although Slowking's put a somewhat slow stop to that.

Your move!

Shokoli: Encore (Onix) – Heal Pulse (Omono)

Note: As it turns out, Onix actually has rank 7 Defense instead of rank 6 defense (Gen 6 base stats-rank conversion). Thankfully this is a specially-oriented team I'm facing and nobody's actually used a physical attack against it so far, so all I have to do is just retroactively show Onix as having 7 defense rather than 6.

Posting what I have; end of round status and Onix's orders coming tomorrow because bedtime for now and don't want to lose this if Firefox crashes overnight and XenForo isn't cooperative.

19:20 Tortferngatr by the way--anyone have info on whether a TLR round ends immediately when the last enemy mon is KOed or at the end of the turn in which the last enemy mon is KOed?
19:20 --- Tortferngatr is back
19:21 Frosty immediately
19:21 Frosty actually all end of action effects apply
19:21 Frosty but no other move is used.

Sorry about that.

As for Explosion...yeah that was literally just "I wasn't planning on having Onix use anything that would let it last longer than Nidoking's Mud-Slap, might as well be funny about it." Explosion isn't supposed to be used seriously in TLR (categorized in the TLR reffing rules as a dick move alongside Toxic--of course, that doesn't include chill stalling for free rounds. At least not yet, anyway.)

3 Hidden Cave System

You find, just to the west, a small crack in the rocky maze that appears to lead to another, deeper segment of the cavern complex. You can't quite tell what is down that path, but just being near the crack makes you feel an intense heat wash over you and your team. It's definitely out of the way for you to travel this way, but maybe something valuable lies in wait for the daring adventurer at the end of the tunnel. What do you do?

A) Explore the hidden crevice.
B) Continue on, ignoring the crevice.

You ignore the crevice and continue on your way. Whatever is down there is surely too unnecessary for your success in this pursuit. You must keep your eyes on the goal, and so press on with your team on your heels.

RNG roll: (1=Smoke Geysers, 2=Sand Pit)

1 (oh come on >_<)

Smoke Geysers

As you continue in the rocky maze, you come upon an area more open than the others with numerous holes poking out of the ground. You approach them cautiously, and suddenly find that they erupt at random and let out intensely overheated smoke that prevents you from seeing effectively. You need to get by, and you can either creep around carefully or dive through them. What do you do?

A) Creep around and avoid the geysers.
B) Charge through the geysers.

17 -- Moon Ball

Your Pokemon charge through the mist and smoke and, navigated by your Fidgit and Nidoking, you get through without any consequence at all. You turn around to survey the area you've passed through and find that your Fidgit and Nidoking are carrying two items that they have found in the trek through the geysers, apparently from past trainers that have failed in their mission before you. You collect two Moon Balls and carry on, pleased with what has transpired.

Since no combat transpires in this update (and to be fair you pretty much got a free ride through), however, I don't think I'm supposed to grant a reprieve before the Guardians.

You head down some natural stairs to a lava-filled pit...where it seems some Guardians await you.

Magma Pool

The heat is stifling, but not to the level of being painful.. Yet. The sheer heat of the arena causes the environment to be as if the sun was shining brightly, even underground. Pokemon seem to exist within the lava and will erupt forth to assist your enemies through some mechanism you don't quite understand.

Summary:

Arena Type: Cave
No water source present.
Weather: Stifling Heat
Unchangeable
Possesses all normal features of Sunny Day
Every five (5) rounds of combat, a Pokemon will burst forth from the lava to join the enemy team in battle.
There is a 2/3% chance that the spawned Pokemon will be a Slugma, and a 1/3% chance that it will be a Magcargo.
Seismic attacks (Earthquake, Bulldoze, Magnitude) have halved Base Attack Power due to the lava dissipating much of the seismic energy of the attack.
Water-type attacks have half their Base Attack Power due to the heat in the arena.

Abilities:
Flame Body:

(Innate) This Pokemon’s external temperature is kept at such a high level that any contact attack used on this Pokemon has a 30% chance of burning the opponent.

Vital Spirit (DW):
(Innate) This Pokemon has a high vitality and alertness making it immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker it will wake up the next action.

Type: Rock
Rock STAB; Take 2 less damage from all special attacks during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.

Abilities:
Sturdy:

(Innate) This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

Sand Force (DW):
(Innate) This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, using the power of the swirling sand to augment its Rock, Ground, and Steel-typed attacks. Each of this Pokemon's Rock, Ground, and Steel-typed attacks will have the Base Attack Power increased by two (2). Pokemon with this ability are immune to Sandstorm damage.

As usual, on the first round the guardians went all-out and used Combos to get rid of one of your pokemon (in this case, Slowking). A shame that this will be on the last times that this will happen T_T.

But still, they are pretty much goners, so you should be fine.
