Data The Legend Run Sign-up / Main Thread: MkII (Multiple TLR Releases, Backpack Changes, Post #290)

Alright, I've become tired of waiting for the combo discussion to end. So I thought that I have time to get a little legend before that reach it's end.

Challenging Enchanted Meadow!

Backpack:
2× Potion (2 CC)
2× Ether (2 CC)
1× Revive (4 CC)
8 x Safari Balls (8 CC)
8 x Cherish Ball (6 CC)

Katherine (Gardevoir) {♀}
Nature: Bold (+1 Def, -1 Atk)
Type: Psychic / Fairy

  • Psychic STAB; Can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-Type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.
  • Fairy STAB; -1 EN on non-Fairy Typed Nature, Sound, and Scent moves (Stacks with second STAB where applicable). (Nature Power, Natural Gift; Sound Moves; Aromatherapy, Odor Sleuth, Sweet Scent)
Abilities: Synchronize / Trace / Telepathy (H) / Pixilate (M)
  • Synchronize: (Passive) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison-Types cannot be poisoned, Fire-Types cannot be burned & Electric-Types cannot be paralyzed in this manner.
  • Trace: (Trigger) When entering into battle, this Pokemon can copy an ability on one of its opponents for 6 EN. This effect only triggers if the ability to be copied is specified when the Pokemon is sent out. The ability remains on the Pokemon for six (6) actions. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.
  • Telepathy: (Passive) This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponents spread damage attacks.
  • Pixilate (Toggle) By default, this Pokemon's Normal-type moves are Fairy-type moves, and have an additional two (2) BAP boost. When toggled, this Pokemon's Normal-type attacks have their BAP increased by two (2). If a Pokemon has been skill-swapped multiple abilities that change Normal-type attacks, the attacks become dual-typed, but the BAP boosts of the abilities do not stack.

Mirage (Bronzong) {O}
Nature: Brave (+1 Atk, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion)
Type: Steel / Psychic

  • Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-Type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.
  • Psychic STAB; Can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-Type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.
Abilities: Levitate / Heatproof / Heavy Metal (H)
  • Levitate: (Passive) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-Type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.
  • Heatproof: (Passive) This Pokemon's mirror-like alloyed skin protects it from Fire-Type attacks, reducing the Type effectiveness of Fire-Typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.) The damage inflicted by burns is also cut in half.
  • Heavy Metal: (Passive) The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its actual weight. .

Lamarche (Mollux) {♂}
Nature: Bold (+1 Def, -1 Atk)
Type: Fire / Poison

  • Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic status. Absorb Toxic Spikes on switch-in unless Flying-Typed or using the ability Levitate. -- Accuracy when using Toxic, Poison Gas, or Poison Powder, hitting even during Dig, Fly, etc. Ignore Fog's accuracy reduction. Store Command.
  • Fire STAB; immune to burn status. Brighten Command.
Abilities: Dry Skin / Illuminate (H)
  • Dry Skin: (Passive) This Pokemon has spongy, yet sensitive skin, causing it to burn in bright sunlight for damage but absorb water and heal damaged tissues in rain. This effect results in dealing two (2) damage/action to this Pokemon in sunlight and recovering two (2) HP/action in rain. In addition, the dry skin is very vulnerable to flames and the Base Attack Power of incoming Fire attacks is increased by two (2). The Pokemon absorbs the damage of water attacks and recovers 25% of HP the damage that would have been inflicted.
  • Illuminate: (Toggle) No default effect. When toggled, this Pokemon emits a continuous light that brightens the environment and makes it easier for all Pokemon to see. While this ability is active, any darkened or twilight state in the battle is negated and all moves used by any Pokemon (friend or foe, or itself) have their accuracy increased by 10% (flat). Boosts from multiple Illuminates do not stack.

<Snorlax> [Owen] (M)

Nature: Quiet (-10% Evasion)

Type: Normal

Normal: Normal STAB; +1 BAP on attacks that match dominant arena type after 3 actions. Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

About: A Munchlax with a knack for battling, there is nothing Owen likes more than a good fight (Other than food, naturally). Attracted by a honey tree, Owen was quick to ignore it in order to defend himself against Stella's Close-Combat, much to everyone's surprise. After a short stalemate, Owen was quickly brought down by Will's Megahorn and captured.
Loving the opportunity to train and become a strong, fat Snorlax, the young Munchlax trains hard and wishes to battle as many strong opponents as he can.....after he is done eating.

Immunity: (Passive) This Pokemon's body has an immensely strong immune response to venom and does not take poison damage when Poisoned. Toxic Poisoning will not do damage; however, it will continue to grow more severe.

Thick Fat: (Passive) This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)

Gluttony (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED): (Passive) This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat).

<Revenankh> [Nefertina] (Female)

Nature: Brave (+Attack, - Speed, -10% Evasion)

Type: Ghost/Fighting

Ghost: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.

Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions on Circle Throw, Seismic Toss, Sky Drop, Storm Throw, Submission, and Vital Throw.

About: A Revenankh met at the ruins during Bert's training, both pokemon stalemated for a long time before Nefertina was knocked out by a collapsing pillar. Knowing the ruins would give away soon, Matezoide and Bert removed the pillar and managed to carry her to safety. Sad that her home is gone, but happy about meeting someone that powerfull (And the promisse of there existing pokemon even stronger than Bert), Nefertina did not hesitate to be captured to further hone her skills. Although she was initially disapointed at the majority of the rest of the team (Calling them ''slackers'' and lazy), they eventually grew on her heart (Mostly because she saw their sparing matches and realised their strength).

Abilities:

Shed Skin (Passive): This Pokemon regularly sheds its skin and any impurities contained in its body. If afflicted with a status condition, this Pokemon has a 33% chance of removing all status conditions at the end of a round.

Air Lock (Passive): This Pokemon releases immense barometric pressure, clearing the weather in the arena and preventing the effect of weather moves and abilities from taking place.

Infiltrator (DW UNLOCKED, Passive): Through a combination of speed and cunning, this Pokemon easily circumvents the effects of Light Screen, Mist, Reflect, Safeguard and Substitute with all of its attacks.

To all TLR referees everywhere: enjoy your inflated UC pay from now onwards. All TLR's taken from this point onwards get the new payout system while all current TLR's use the old pay system.

This partly because Registeel is kinda okay but mostly because dogfish's new Timeless Tower looks pretty fun.

I would like to try the

Mysterious Cove:
Status: Open

Difficulty: Training
Prerequisites: None
Data: Here
Intro:

"Did you ever hear of the Legends?"

"What Legends?"

"Of Pokémon so rare and so powerful that their very existence is debated even amongst Pokémon researchers."

"Oh, those legends. What of it?"

"They say there is a cove with a rare Pokémon in it. The Pokémon around there are not particularly strong and the place itself has been checked time and time again. People still insist there is a legend there but it can only be found if you can hear its voice."

"Sounds like a fairy tale. Lay off the whisky."

"Whatever you say. I'm heading over there to check it out."

There is a cove hidden deep in a forest that beckons those few chosen ones who seek the legends. In order to get there, you will have to cross several kinds of treacherous terrain but this may be your first chance to get a taste of adventure. A mysterious man meets you at the entrance, signalling you forward. Oddly, it seems like you are the only one who can see him. You ignore the jests of your friends and follow him. You think you have heard him speak before but you cannot quite remember what his voice sounds like. It strikes you as odd, but you head towards the Mysterious Cove anyway.

There is no first time rule for TLR's. The only priority comes from sub-referee jobs and to a lesser extent, Training TLR's for those new wannabe TLR referees being assigned a TLR.

Nature: Jolly (+15% Spe, +14% Acc, -1 SpA)
Type:

: Dark STAB; ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks.
: Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists, Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.

Abilities:
Rebound: (Trigger) The Pokemon is able to bounce one layer of an entry hazard back from their side of the field to the other side with their immense strength and intuition.
Guts: (Passive) This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.
Pressure: (Passive) This Pokemon's presence fills the air with intense anxiety, and any damaging or status attack launched at this Pokemon costs the opposing Pokemon two (2) more energy to perform.

Nature: Timid (+15% Spe, +19% Acc, -1 Atk)
Type:

: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.
: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic status.

Abilities:
Levitate: This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude.

Ms. Pauling [Musharna] (F)
Nature: Modest
Type:

: Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Forewarn: (Passive) This Pokemon is more adept than usual at sensing and reacting to the opponent's attacks. As a result, it gets a bonus move substitution that must have a condition in the format "If Pokemon X uses move Y", with no further qualifiers or additional clauses allowed. This bonus substitution may go anywhere in the list of substitutions the pokemon makes, but it must be indicated with "Bonus" or "Bonus Sub" or something similar in front of the bonus substitution.
Synchronize: (Passive) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and when inflicted by the major status ailments Burn, Poison, or Paralysis, will share their status condition with the opponent. Pokemon will not be inflicted by status conditions to which they are immune by virtue of typing, ability, etc.
Telepathy: (Passive) This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponents spread damage attacks.

And so, there I was, running away from the Enchanted Meadow. It seemed like I was cursed there or something, as I'd had nothing but bad luck since then. My gym matches were going rather badly, most of my training matches were turning into losses, and overall I just wasn't able to get anything accomplished. The gym was of especial concern, as I had received several complaints about the new venue, and coming up with new effects that helped stave off Death by Beating (otherwise known as Fighting type spam) was proving to be difficult. In the end I decided that I needed something...new. Something to get me back in the game. The question was, what?

"Well, I guess there's Mega Lopunny...except it still doesn't solve my fighting type problem. Geez this gym is being a bigger pain in the rear than I thought."

"What about Mega Audino? That would definitely kill off any fighting types."

"Possibly, but I'd have to see it's stats. Personally I'm betting that it's going to become a brick wall and little else. What about Inverse?"

"Pwnemon put the kibosh on that remember?"

"Right..."

"Ah hello Maxim, I see you're doing well."

"Xavier? What are you doing here?"

"Dropping off some paperwork. Hopefully pretty soon I can get started on the path to ASB victory. Or something. Anyways I heard about this place that---"

"No no no! I am not doing these Legend Runs after the disaster that was the last three. I was so close too!"

"Legend Runs are that hard? Wow."

"Yeah, don't try them until you get REALLY good at this game. They will drive you up a wall."

"I see...still I thought you should know about the Regigigas in this one place I heard about. Timeless Tower they call it."

"Regigigas...that's exactly what I need. Well, what I need is Meloetta but I still haven't found where that is. I'll head there right away!"

I ran off at that point

"Wait...I probably should have told him that he'd need to go through three dungeons to actually get to Regigigas. Eh, I'm sure he probably already knows."

An announcement: New TLR Rules in regards to combinations are being implemented. TLRs, starting from Eternal's Mysterious Cove run, will use the dual timer system. Dual Timers are set to 1-1 if they are not stated, with the exception of Uber TLRs, which will set the timer to 2-3 (Support Combinations start Round 2, Damaging Combos start Round 3).

We'll try to push updates through as soon as possible =)

That's all.

sigh

I don't think I can keep up more than one TLR reffing at a time now that I'm back at college (and have other things occupying my interests). I've already gone severely over "DQ" with Texas, but it's also the TLR I feel most confident in completing. Therefore I'm going to call for a subref for Engineer Pikachu's Black Sulphur Caldera run.

I do not like British fishes who never give you feedback within a reasonable time-frame... :(

So I went ahead making the assumption he had no objections and went ahead to implement Molten Lake Revamps after some last minute nerfs.

So yeah Molten Lake is officially revamped and all new challenges to the TLR will use the revamped version. Here comes all the Smeargle / Necturna lovers... @_@

No one but me can still take Ruined Eden challenges however. Maybe once I am done with Toxic Swamp (which is next on the list) I will consider letting other referees take them since ToA cannot be challenged until the three legendary dungeons have been boss reached by the same user.

But yeah. Can you handle the heat in this revamped TLR of power?

Frosty

Oh boy...

We need more referees that are willing to referee a TLR. If you think you have what it takes to referee a TLR, contact Dogfish44 and I and basically show us why you are basically TLR Referee material.

If you are on the inactive referee and want to referee TLR's again, let us know. There is only so much we can do out of the active TLR referees that actually take TLR's... -.-'

If there is any incentive to apply, we come with ridiculous pay now!
