<Alomomola> [Alan] (M)
Nature: Sassy (-Speed, +1 Sp.Def)

Type: Water

Water: Water STAB; Ignores arena restrictions on Water attacks that require an external water source. Evasive Diving reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.

Healer (Passive): This Pokemon emits a light, airy aura that surrounds its allies in a multiple battle. At the end of each round, there is a 30% chance any allies in a multiple battle will have all their status conditions healed.
Hydration (Passive): This Pokemon absorbs water during the rain to heal any status effects afflicting this Pokemon.
Regenerator (HA UNLOCKED, Passive): When this Pokemon is switched out during a switch battle, it reacts to the energy in the Pokeball and (ten) 10 HP is restored. When this Pokemon Chills, it restores six (6) HP in addition to its 12 Energy.

<Snorlax> [Owen] (M)

Nature: Quiet (-10% Evasion)

Type: Normal

Normal: Normal STAB; +1 BAP on attacks that match dominant arena type after 3 actions. Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

About: A Munchlax with a knack for battling, there is nothing Owen likes more than a good fight (Other than food, naturally). Attracted by a honey tree, Owen was quick to ignore it in order to defend himself against Stella's Close-Combat, much to everyone's surprise. After a short stalemate, Owen was quickly brought down by Will's Megahorn and captured.
Loving the opportunity to train and become a strong, fat Snorlax, the young Munchlax trains hard and wishes to battle as many strong opponents as he can.....after he is done eating.

Immunity: (Passive) This Pokemon's body has an immensely strong immune response to venom and does not take poison damage when Poisoned. Toxic Poisoning will not do damage; however, it will continue to grow more severe.

Thick Fat: (Passive) This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)

Gluttony (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED): (Passive) This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat).

<Revenankh> [Nefertina] (Female)

Nature: Brave (+Attack, - Speed, -10% Evasion)

Type: Ghost/Fighting

Ghost: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.

Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions on Circle Throw, Seismic Toss, Sky Drop, Storm Throw, Submission, and Vital Throw.

About: A Revenankh met at the ruins during Bert's training, both pokemon stalemated for a long time before Nefertina was knocked out by a collapsing pillar. Knowing the ruins would give away soon, Matezoide and Bert removed the pillar and managed to carry her to safety. Sad that her home is gone, but happy about meeting someone that powerfull (And the promisse of there existing pokemon even stronger than Bert), Nefertina did not hesitate to be captured to further hone her skills. Although she was initially disapointed at the majority of the rest of the team (Calling them ''slackers'' and lazy), they eventually grew on her heart (Mostly because she saw their sparing matches and realised their strength).

Abilities:

Shed Skin (Passive): This Pokemon regularly sheds its skin and any impurities contained in its body. If afflicted with a status condition, this Pokemon has a 33% chance of removing all status conditions at the end of a round.

Air Lock (Passive): This Pokemon releases immense barometric pressure, clearing the weather in the arena and preventing the effect of weather moves and abilities from taking place.

Infiltrator (DW UNLOCKED, Passive): Through a combination of speed and cunning, this Pokemon easily circumvents the effects of Light Screen, Mist, Reflect, Safeguard and Substitute with all of its attacks.

Black Sulphur Caldera

Black Sulphur Caldera is a deep and blackened pit that once erupted in a massive fiery explosion many hundreds of years ago. The terrain is now mostly barren with torched and odorous burns across its face. Nothing lives within miles of the area, not even Fire-type Pokemon, as the land is so inhospitable that very little can sustain life above ground. At the base of the caldera, however, there exists a small pit that recently opened up due to seismic activity. Some Pokemon trainers have ventured into the pit to explore, only to return with their whole Pokemon team fainted and them babbling nonsense about the magma demon therein. Intrigued, you prepare your Pokemon and decide to explore it yourself. Hopefully you'll find yourself better prepared than those others before you.

Alright, this is it. The Black Sulphur.

You sure?

Well, i assume so. I lived around here my entire life, but never paid too much attention to this cave. Pretty sure it is the place tho.

I just hope we get to eat soon....

You always say that. Why did we bring him, anyway?

Because you know how Owen can be when he is left alone. I wouldnt really trust the others to make sure he wont eat half our food again, especially since Steve left to train with Bert and Twilight.

Think they will be fine?

Yeah, sure. Bosco wont find the booze.

I FOUND THE BOOZE!

The other pokemon immediately stop minding their own business to look at the Muk with a huge grin in their faces.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!!!!

A) Enter the Black Sulphur Caldera.

Yay for my shitty flavor.

Enter Black Sulphur Caldera

You enter the Caldera with a smile on your face and around 5 liters of sweat coming out of your body. Because screw biology!

You send out your trusted and trio and wait and see what the dangerous volcano has in store for you. For some odd reason, you don't think it will start to spew out hot coco, although that is your desire. Instead you see...

AREN'T THOSE THE CUTEST LITTLE THINGS EVER?????

No?

Fine.

Fight.

Boulder Maze

Rocks are everywhere, and the darkness seems all-consuming. There is a faint glow about the arena that allows your Pokemon to almost see, but at the same time, they just can't aim properly in this blackness. There is no water anywhere nearby, but nothing about the arena seems to hinder you in any other way. Hopefully all of the areas you battle in here will be this benign.

Summary:

Arena Type: Cave
No water source present.
One (1) stage accuracy drop for Pokemon without Rock, Ground, or Dark typing that is maintained at the end of each round.

Magby (M)

Nature: Rash
+1 SpA, -1 SpD

Type: Fire
Fire STAB; immune to burn, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.

Abilities:
Flame Body:

(Innate) This Pokemon’s external temperature is kept at such a high level that any contact attack used on this Pokemon has a 30% chance of burning the opponent.

Vital Spirit (DW):
(Innate) This Pokemon has a high vitality and alertness making it immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker it will wake up the next action.

+1 Atk, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion

Type: Steel / Rock
Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

Rock STAB; Reduce damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.

Abilities:
Sturdy:

(Innate) This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

Rock Head:
(Innate) This Pokemon’s hard body prevents it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash.

Heavy Metal (DW): (Innate) The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its actual weight. Additionally, when the Pokemon uses Giga Impact, Gyro Ball, Heat Crash, Heavy Slam, Tackle, recoil and uncontrollable attacks [Full list: Double-Edge, Giga Impact, Gyro Ball, Head Charge, Head Smash, Heat Crash, Heavy Slam, Hi Jump Kick, Jump Kick, Outrage, Petal Dance, Submission, Tackle, Take Down, Thrash, Volt Tackle, Wood Hammer, and Wild Charge] it will calculate using a Weight Class that adds a value equal to the Pokemon's Weight Class divided by their Size Class, minus (-) one (1). Smoke Geysers

As you continue in the rocky maze, you come upon an area more open than the others with numerous holes poking out of the ground. You approach them cautiously, and suddenly find that they erupt at random and let out intensely overheated smoke that prevents you from seeing effectively. You need to get by, and you can either creep around carefully or dive through them. What do you do?

Player Options

A) Creep around and avoid the geysers.
B) Charge through the geysers.

Matezoide

Frosty

=_=
is a Forum Moderator Alumnusis a Community Contributor Alumnus

Your Pokemon charge through the mist and smoke and, without navigation, accidentally get in the way of much of the steam and smoke! Each Pokemon suffers from this and is burned by the ordeal, but at least you navigated the geysers successfully and have reached the other side. This could have ended better, but it certainly could have been worse, and thus you continue onward without giving this too much further thought.

(everybody is burned btw)

Hidden Cave System
darn it no hippowdon

You find, just to the west, a small crack in the rocky maze that appears to lead to another, deeper segment of the cavern complex. You can't quite tell what is down that path, but just being near the crack makes you feel an intense heat wash over you and your team. It's definitely out of the way for you to travel this way, but maybe something valuable lies in wait for the daring adventurer at the end of the tunnel. What do you do?

Player Options

A) Explore the hidden crevice.
B) Continue on, ignoring the crevice.

What a surprise.

You ignore the crevice and continue on your way. Whatever is down there is surely too unnecessary for your success in this pursuit. You must keep your eyes on the goal, and so press on with your team on your heels.

Magma Pool

The heat is stifling, but not to the level of being painful.. Yet. The sheer heat of the arena causes the environment to be as if the sun was shining brightly, even underground. Pokemon seem to exist within the lava and will erupt forth to assist your enemies through some mechanism you don't quite understand.

You know when you go to a place of a map and it is wide and plain and you think "wow this is a perfect place for a surprise battle" and then it turns out that a battle is about to happen?

Well something like this happened here. As you moved forward, your sixth sense activated and you stopped, right before one massive pokemon dropped really close and another mon surfaced from the lava.

-CRASH-

-WHATEVERNOISEAMONMAKESWHENCOMESOUTOFLAVA-

This may hurt...

Arena Type: Cave
No water source present.
Weather: Stifling Heat
Unchangeable
Possesses all normal features of Sunny Day
Every five (5) rounds of combat, a Pokemon will burst forth from the lava to join the enemy team in battle.
There is a 2/3% chance that the spawned Pokemon will be a Slugma, and a 1/3% chance that it will be a Magcargo.
Seismic attacks (Earthquake, Bulldoze, Magnitude) have halved Base Attack Power due to the lava dissipating much of the seismic energy of the attack.
Water-type attacks have half their Base Attack Power due to the heat in the arena.
