Howdy yall, and welcome to another wrap up: this time of Ordland City!
Ordland Wrap up!
Now as always, here is the town description which I would be foolish in trying to restate all here but here is the post made by
Mew King :
http://www.smogon.com/forums/thread...-gym-leader-noms.3510993/page-36#post-5714621
In this town is an assortment of things, from an old man who proclaims his efficiency to changing the weather, a man who has his research stolen by team luck sack on overpowered Pokemon, and people who say they saw the Luck Sack on the tv! Most important of all though, is the normal type gym, housed by Oglemi.
In the PokeCenter is an Ace trainer that will give the VS Seeker once defeated, which he seems all too eager to give away. There is then a magikarp salesman outside the PokeMart, hoping to sell it to you for a quick bundle, with a little barn nearby that houses a kind old farmer that sells Moomoo milk for all your milky needs.
Then you got the gym.
In it houses one trainer, but he himself can be bypassed if you really want to (basically just walk around him) to go and fight the leader. The team used by Oglemi will be shown here as provided by
Fourth Inversion

With Protect being the TM of choice along with the Ladybug Badge with the player gaining access to the use of the HM Cut in the field.
After winning the badge you leave the town to head to the next route, and encounter your rival (note: if you had tried leaving before, the rival stops ya and sends you back to the gym if you hadn’t gotten the badge yet) who challenges you to a battle (after getting the badge). After losing, they run off, proclaiming they have got to do more research to not get embarassed like that again....
Soon that will be followed by a guy chasing after some Luck Sack grunts riding off in a helicopter, for which he proclaims the hooligans stole his research. Poor guy....
Now on to unrelated town matters, we have a rough outline of how we want the other towns to go through (or ones that house gym leaders) and what we want to base them off of badge and leader wise (not type mind you). This post can be seen by
MikeDecIsHere for more clarification but it will be used as our outline for badges going forward:

We also got a post talking bout the approach to legendaries and how they should be handled in the story (with ideas ranging from having a showdown of K-W and K-B to introducing them after the final battle with Luck Sack) where it was ultimately put to rest that we should keep them as sidequests like the Bird Trio in RBY. If you would like to dicuss this more, look for the posts pertaining to these in the posts made by
WebBowser and
Cataclyptic in the hide tag below labeled Legendary discussion.
And Finally we got a visual update of our Trainers or main protagonists of the game made by
Cataclyptic which can be seen here:
Overall the Wrap up was much more fleshed out and overall great discussion yall :D
Edit:
Late Additions:
Guard Blocking The North:
To be fair, we're already making fun of ourselves, why don't we break the fourth wall a bit and have, instead of an officer, a guy on all sorts of drugs blocking us from going past him by saying, "Yo, the plot fairies were just talking to me. They told me that I must block you and only you from accessing this route for the time being. They told me that they didn't plan for you to come back here until much later in the game. What kind of game do you think they were talking about?"
