those volturn teams look fun and solid but the biggest problem w a frail fighter is that bisharp tosses u.
having uturn on shao for chip damage is nice but to be safe id use sub pass prolly, since not only does sub let u set up for free vs ferro it also beats sucker. i mean sub uturn kinda works too

M Kerro it takes 2 turns to set 1 layer of spikes + tspikes and 1 more to use gravity. it takes 1 turn to defog. think about it

first of all im not bringing either intimidater in on sharp. sharp comes in on 2/6 mons and thats lat and zor, takin over half from each. my initial switchin is no item torn seeing as,,,, no item. imma move some evs from attack to hp and hit like 351 or somethin idk. imma go to torn initially, pivot to shao on sucker then sub up. dash lord plays. defog can be slashed on lati its up 2 u

I understand the concerns bout Shart with shao, but if red ranger is such a concern, I'm not sure adding latios n two mons with intimidate is the best answer to that but yeah that shao's set is pretty neato, nd subpass isn't really something I considered but doesn't look half bad... anyway looks p cool will def give it a go, though lack of hazard removal w mega manectric makes me kinda nervous but w/e, thanks yo

Edit: forgive me padre for I have sinned... anyway I'll give it a go later when i'm more conscious

This is exactly what I thought when I saw Latios not runnning Defog. It seems to me that this team is pretty Sharp weak and lack of hazards removal on a volt turn team is a big no-no. I would suggest running Defog > Surf on Latios. You have to be particularly aware of where to evolve your Manec if you see a Sharp to prevent double inti to work against you.

surf is there as a heatran lure, since no other members can safely switch in to tran, especially scarfed variants, but yeah I'd probs run defog jus to make myself feel better

Hey CTC wondering if you can make a team a round these 2 mons Kek.

Keldeo and Terrakion.

Terrakion benefited a lot from the maw ban, being able to have more freedom in its sets and not be pressured out to easily. The reason I choose these two mons, was for 2 reasons. They look cool in team preview, and they destroy each other's counters. Thats all for now! Big fan take your time :].

Ill reply to this to save CTC the hassle.

First off, you dont even list any sets. No one can build a team round a mon (or two) unless they know what set theyre planning on using. You dont even list them.

Second off, Flamer made a post two pages back saying exactly not to do this. In fact, here it is. You may not have a grammar issue, but you still dont say anything other than they "look cool" and that they somehow "destroy each others counters" (which isnt really true because Latias beats both. js)

Id suggest that you come back with a better post than "Hey CTC, make me a team with these two mons kthxbai."

zzzzzzzzzz. A check is something that can swap in on at least one move, out speed and threaten to KO or do serious damage the following turn. A revenge killer is a check, just a weak one.

ok so i went a lil bit overboard in my regenerator shenanigans and welp

i am not even sorry

really tho I've been wondering if such a squad were even viable for a while, I mean there's only so many regen mons even out there but most of em actually have decent synergy so I thought I'd give it a go... sets pulled out of my ass not polished or anything but running your sub + bp shao set, standard assvest tornadus, specs future sight reuniclus, phys def amoon, sdef mola, n scarf ditto cuz setup mons wreck this shit n why the hell not? anyway annoying as shit gimmick team that i'd actually love to see something decent come out of
u have a importable? wud luv to give this a shot and am fukn lazy

Hey CTC would be cool if you build a team featuring Taunt CM Keldeo.

I love how this thread was supposed to have discussion behind the teams that were created, but now it's just digressed into, "hey CTC make me a team".
The problem is that there are so many retards and so many lazy people who come here. They post shit like "hey can i hav team around mega pinsir ty" and don't even bother to check if one was already posted. They feel entitled to have their own team with their own name on it, even though they didn't do jack-shit for it.

To all the (BAN ME PLEASE) who come here asking for a team around some common shit and don't even look at the teams already posted: quit being a lazy entitled fuck and take a quick peek at one of the ~100 teams in here. Chances are, at least one of them has that Talonflame you're looking for.

ctc probably doesn't give one about your request either buddy

LAST TIME ILL SAY THIS. IM NOT GONNA ALLOW SIMPLE REQUEST THREADS IN THIS FORUM. IF YOU WANT A RANDOM TEAM WITH BEARTIC THEN CONTACT HIM ON IRC OR SOMETHING. THIS THREAD WAS ALLOWED ON THE BASIS THAT DISCUSSION COMES OUT OF IT. IF YOURE GOING TO BE LAZY AND ASK CTC TO TAKE TIME TO MAKE YOU A TEAM, THE ABSOLUTE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS FREAKING CONTRIBUTE TO THE THREAD BY EXPLAINING YOUR CHOICES, LIKE FROGOHOLIC DID HERE.

So yeah, im going to start infracting people that dont read the rules. Have some subtance in your posts people, its not hard.
could you guys at least take the time to try out a core before requesting a single pokemon with absolutely zero background information? and read the earlier posts that he actually built teams for, try and match that kind of level of detail and at least try and give some explanations as to what you want the core to do? and if it's a team you don't like, things can be switched around to your preference, just go find mattL's post and look for a team with the mon you're requesting. holy shit this thread has really gone downhill.

In a vain attempt to get a new team to discuss in this thread

Hey CTC , mind making me a team with this?
I've been trying out this core, a slightly different take on birdspam, and I've been having a bit of fun with a team that me and Clair made. Now, I'd like to see if you can make something good out of this, even though you said Toge was ass ;_; So, hope you can find the time to make a team with this to see how it can go.

Togekiss @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Serene Grace
64 HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 192 Spe
Modest Nature
-Nasty Plot
-Dazzling Gleam
-Air Slash
-Aura Sphere

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Swords Dance
-Brave Bird
-Flare Blitz
-Roost

Found this Togekiss set in the now dead Good Lures thread, thought it would be pretty fun to try out. +2 max modest pixie plate DG OHKO'es both Rotom-W and Ttar, two of the most common Talonflame switch ins:
+2 252+ SpA Pixie Plate Togekiss Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-W: 306-361 (100.6 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Pixie Plate Togekiss Dazzling Gleam vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 432-510 (107.1 - 126.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Aura Sphere can also 2HKO Heatran, while Heatran can only Roar you out, unless it's offensive. EV's on Toge let it outspeed the standard Rotom-W and Ttar sets. Also DG can take out huge chunks from Lando and Thundy, allowing them to be very easily worn down, so, it puts in a decent amount of work against other Tflame checks as well. Air Slash helps beat stall, with power and flinch chance. Also, Life Orb can be used over Pixie Plate, but it lacks longevity and Toge can bluff Scarf with Plate.

Talonflame set is the standard SD Sharp Beak sweeper, I don't think there is much to say here. SD to sweep, BB because why would you not, Flare Blitz for second STAB, Roost for recovery if needed. This set can be tweaked around, but Toge shouldn't, unless there's a decent reason. As long as it fulfills its goal, I'm not one to complain.

This core isn't the greatest, but it is pretty fun to use, and has a couple of niches over standard flyspam:
1. Not as predictable, nobody expects a Togekiss to OHKO a Rotom or TTar.
2. Leaves an open mega slot, giving you a tank to fall back on or a secondary sweeper
3. Now that CTC made original flyspam really popular, it's not as fun to use that core anymore ;[

Just to those who will say there is already a Togekiss team, this one performs a very different role, luring and eliminating threats to Talonflame to open up an ez sweep. If you still complain, don't be surprised if I don't reply, as I might not see a reason to answer a question I already answered.

I personally use this core with Twave support, to emphasize Togekiss' Scarf bluffing capabilities, and it can actually sweep bulkier teams after a para or two. Anyway, those are just my thoughts on it, thanks for reading, and hope to see a fun team to play around with!

Anyway fuck birdspam so I decided to make a bulky offense squad around raptor, got ScarfMag for Skarm + Ferro + birspam check to help clear the way for brave birdin... AssVest Azu for ninja n ttar nd because knock off is neato also to deter the latis from spamming draco... Mega Venu for Rotom n opposing Azu (EQ over HP fire cuz I already have mag and fuck heatran), Latias for defog, Hippo w/ sand force for rocks n phasing nd fuck you tyranitar. anyway here's the squad for review:

got sick of watchin people bitch about stall going in the shitter b/c goth n knock off pinsir nd magnezone and shadow tag blahblahblah anyway I don't buy any of that bs so I took it upon myself to make a stall team that gives 0 fucks about all the aforementioned shit that muh ferro n skarm can't handle for shit, basically the most standardass hippo stall core with chansey ofc and phys def venu which I haven't seen in a while... but all that is weak to the wallbreaker megas so stallbreaker talonflame lezzgo:

saw it suggested previously, but no squad. i've seen specs sylv, heard about it, and now i'm intrigued. apparently zard y is one of the best partners for it considering steels fuck it up the ass and zard y melts them, and sylv beats dragons(latis, dnite, etc) for zard y. sylveon also has bulk+can bp so it makes for a decent pivot so it can find free switches for zard y. really efficient wall breaking core if you ask me. also is it a bad idea to specifically request that the squad be good?

That's a pretty gnarly looking core. Specs Sylveon actually hits harder than Mega Gardevoir, so anything that's not Steel, Poison, or named Chansey is going to die. I'd be interested in seeing how a team with that core would do.

Politoad @ Damp Rock

Hey CTC this is a cool thread friend. Thanks for helping people out. :]

I've been having moderate success with this core around 1800:

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
- Swords Dance
- Tailwind

Victini @ Expert Belt
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- V-create
- Thunder
- Glaciate
- Focus Blast

But I've found lure Victini to be a little underwhelming in a lot of ways.

I think SD Tailwind ZardX is really underrated in this meta right now (I'm running enough speed to outspeed Adamant Exca in sand).

What are some suggestions you could give on a better way to lure stuff like Slowbro, etc. (I've considered running Trick Band Tini with another way to lure their checks/counters)

The current team really struggles with Heatran even though I have several ways to beat it (Azumarill, Scarf Exca, Lure Tini).
I've also found that Healing Wish/Lunar Dance Support with SD Tailwind ZardX is god-like. :]

And it would be cool if you could make a team around ZardX + Tini (fuck Heatran).

Thanks for the thread fren, it's cool seeing how your teambuilding process differs from mine. :S

Hi CTC, I was wondering if you could make a team around these two bad boys:

Kyurem-B @ Life Orb
Ability: Terravolt
EVs: 96 Atk / 176 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Roost

Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power Fire

I saw this in the VR Good Cores thread, what this core's supposed to do is have greninja lure in his usual checks and counters like bulky waters and smack them around a bit with Ice Kyu-B to open up a sweep for ninja. I tried to make a team around it myself, but I then realized that i can't make a decent team around these two for shit. So if maybe you could help me out that would be cool.
