Granbull - Check

Granbull @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Play Rough
- Heal Bell / thunder Wave
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

The Granbull rest talk phisically defensive set is very useful against Crawdaunt. Thanks to intimidate you can switch in every move and KOed with play rough. In the case of a SD there are 44% chance to OHKO with crabhammer. I prefer thunder wave over heal bell because I can para my opponent if he goes for an attack boost or in case of a switch. Rest for recovery. Heal bell as cleric support or if you want a chance to wake itself up using sleep talk.

4 Atk Granbull Play Rough vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crawdaunt: 260-308 (97.3 - 115.3%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Poliwrath @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Circle Throw
- Scald
- Rest / Protect
- Sleep Talk / Toxic

Poliwrath is probably on of the best Crawdaunt counter there is. It is immune to Crawdaunts most used type (Water) and resist Knock Off, and after the Lefties are gone Knock Off isn't even a powerfull move. If Crawdaunt sets up a Sd you can just force it out with Cirkle Throw, otherwise you could try to burn it with Scald if you want to. You can choose between a RestTalking set or a Toxic/ Protect stalling set, the first is prefered since you have better recovery then. Unfortunatly Poliwrath is bad in OU (and almost all other tiers aswell) and should only be used if desperatly need a crawdaunt counter that's mot weak to fire.

NOTE!

Poliwrath will win every time against Crawdaunt assuming it dosen't have to switch in on a +2 Knock Off.

252+ Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Poliwrath: 107-126 (27.8 - 32.8%) -- 78.5% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Mega Charizard Y as a CHECK

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
-Will-o-Wisp
-Roost
-Fire Blast
-Solarbeam

A Fire type checking a Water type sounds weird, but this actually works. Charizard (including non-mega) can switch into a Crawdaunt's Knock Off or SD. He then mega evolves and outspeeds. He can then either burn Crawdaunt or straight up OHKO it with Solarbeam. Keep in mind that Charizard obviously hates rocks (although it can Roost) and if the opponent gets high rolls on both moves, then Charizard can die to an unboosted Crabhammer and an unboosted Aqua Jet.

Calcs:
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Aqua Jet vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Mega Charizard Y in Sun: 88-109 (24.5 - 30.3%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Mega Charizard Y: 148-177 (41.2 - 49.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Aqua Jet vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Mega Charizard Y in Sun: 177-213 (49.3 - 59.3%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO

Ability: Guts
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Swords Dance
- Pin Missile
- Rock Blast

Heracross is able to come in on any attack bar Crabhammer, which classifies him as a check. His bulk allows him to take an Aqua Jet, and Knock Off is resisted and doesn affect him due to his Mega Stone. From there, he gets off a free Pin Missile or Close Combat, OHKOing the Crawfish.

Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature
-Giga Drain
-Knock Off
-Sleep Powder
-Hidden Power Fire/Hidden Power Ice

Tangrowth is a great understimated Pokémon with great tanking and supporting capabilities. Has a great phisically defensive stats, good movepool and a great ability in Regenerator. It has access to Knock Off and Sleep Powder to support the team and give more switch-in opportunities to its teammates. Giga Drain is there as it benefits for its greater Special Attack Stat and to keep regaining health. Finally you can opt between Hidden Power Fire or Hidden Power Ice to nail common physical attackers and other Pokémon hard, such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, Scizor, Ferrothorn, etc. Other options are Focus Miss Blast, Leech Seed or Earthquake, but in the end it depends on your team's needs and coverage. Finally you can always run Synthesis for extra recovery, but its better paired with Leaf Storm for the usual hit-and-run strategy Tangrowth often runs.

While it can also get a good use of Assault Vest for mixed defenses, here Leftovers and a full physically defensive EV Spread are compulsory, as Crawdaunt hits like a truck. However, this thing always avoids being OHKOed by the crab if it doesn't have a Swords Dance up, and even then it has a chance of survival:

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Crabhammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 165-195 (40.8 - 48.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 322-380 (79.7 - 94%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

If you just switch Tangrowth in against Crawdaunt, as unboosted Crabhammers and Aqua Jets (lol) deal pitiful damage, you'll automatically threaten the KO, as Giga Drain always kills and heals back:

0 SpA Tangrowth Giga Drain vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Crawdaunt: 284-336 (105.9 - 125.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Then, the thing is that if Tangrowth switches into an unboosted Knock Off (50.5% max damage), then it can tank Crawdaunt's hits all day, as thanks to Regenerator, it has the ability to regain a good amount of health just by switching out, giving it more possibilities to keep pivoting through the match. The only way Crawdaunt can KO Tangrowth in optimal situations are when you don't automatically switch it in, as if it gets a free Swords Dance, a +2 Life Orb Knock Off (knocking off the leftovers) followed by an Aqua Jet kills the Vine Pokémon (However, if you predict right the Aqua Jet and switch out, whatever comes in will be hit hard, and if you predict wrong and it goes for Crabhammer or Knock Off... good luck).

I did the calcs earlier, if it switches in on an SD it has a decent chance to be KOd by knock off, and is always KOd by adamant knock off (the crawdaunt in this scenario is jolly)
Edit: since it cannot win in all scenarios, I would classify it as a check.
Yeah, if it'd be Adamant Tangrowth would only be a good check, but if jolly you do avoid the OHKO:

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 322-380 (79.7 - 94%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

And if it switches into SR, thanks to Lefties Crawdaunt only has a 6.3% chance to OHKO it.

I don't have any problems to classify it as a check however, if the OP and everyone agrees, I'll edit my previous post np.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Foul Play
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Clear Smog / Sludge Bomb

Good Check. Can do a free switch on Aqua jet and Crabhammer. Rarely , he can OHKO with Giga Drain but there's a high chance of OHKO after the life orb recoil or after stealth rock damage. Sometimes he can also resist two Knock offs at +0 .

Calcs:
With Black Sludge:

Mega Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Indimidate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Mega Manectric is a great offensive check to Crawdaunt, since it can deter Crawdaunt from staying in without having to sacrifice offensive pressure unlike more bulkier checks. Crawdaunt is cleanly KO'd by Manectric and does not outspeed, leaving it to rely only on Aqua Jet for damage if it does end up staying in. With Indimidate factored in, Crawdaunt is effectively at even more of a disadvantage against Manectric.

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Manectric: 213-252 (75.8 - 89.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Manectric: 143-169 (50.8 - 60.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

And the third Grass/Fighting type as a check

Virizion @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power Fire

I rather arbitrarily posted the CM set, as practically any Virizion can check Crawdaunt. As with most things, it can't stomach a +2 Crawdaunt, but it can handily switch in on any of its moves otherwise, outspeed, and OHKO with Close Combat or Focus Blast, even uninvested (Giga Drain / Leaf Blade need some investment to do the same).

0 SpA Virizion Focus Blast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Crawdaunt: 384-452 (143.2 - 168.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 Atk Virizion Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Crawdaunt: 270-320 (100.7 - 119.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 170-201 (52.4 - 62%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Crabhammer vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 177-208 (54.6 - 64.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Aqua Jet vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 140-166 (43.2 - 51.2%) -- 5.9% chance to 2HKO

A full on physically defensive Virizion can counter Crawdaunt, easily eating its attacks at +0, and barely surviving a switch-in + Aqua Jet at full health, but I don't see it being particularly viable beyond that.
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Virizion: 116-136 (30 - 35.2%) -- 20.5% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Crabhammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Virizion: 118-140 (30.5 - 36.2%) -- 56.7% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Aqua Jet vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Virizion: 48-57 (12.4 - 14.7%) -- possible 7HKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Virizion: 229-270 (59.3 - 69.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Crabhammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Virizion: 237-279 (61.3 - 72.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Atk / 32 SpA / 224 Spe
Naive Nature
- Outrage

As long as Crawdaunt hasn't set up, KyuB can switch in, tank a hit, then proceed to OHKO with Fusion Bolt or Outrage. A combination of Knock Off and Aqua Jet can KO it, but the damage rolls must be in Crawdaunt's favor (that is, unless the random number god has offered his blessings).

The main reason why KyuB is only a check is Swords Dance. At +2, KyuB can only switch in on Aqua Jet or another SD.

252+ Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 286-338 (73.1 - 86.4%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Rotom-W Check

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Standard Defensive Set here. 44 speed to outspeed Jolly Max Speed Azumarill, which also outspeed Crawdaunt too. Rotom-w can easily play around Crawdaunt if played correctly.

Volt Switch gets a nice chance of OHKO:0 SpA Rotom-W Volt Switch vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Crawdaunt: 254-302 (94.7 - 112.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
*If Crawdaunt Knock Off switch-in Rotom:
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Rotom-W: 185-218 (60.8 - 71.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Rotom can then threaten to KO with Volt Switch, since LO make Crawdaunt lose 10% heal, which is a Guarantee KO

*If Crawdaunt use SD on the switch, that's even better. Rotom'll Volt Switch to a good teammate that can take a +2 knock off (Volt Switch +LO damage => OHKO), or burn it first and take a hit:
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability burned Crawdaunt Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Rotom-W: 183-217 (60.1 - 71.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
then the same, OHKO it with Volt Switch, or Pain Split to heal and take 65BP burned +2 Knock Off:
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability burned Crawdaunt Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Rotom-W: 125-147 (41.1 - 48.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
Why don't you make Rotom - W a counter then ? Even with SR damage Rotom - W will be able to counter Crawdaunt. Even with weather like Sandstorms or Hail, Rotom - W will be able to counter Crawdaunt if the above calcs are true.

not really. Rotom-W has to play mind game with Crawdaunt. A Counter can switch-in almost anytime, while in this situation, Rotom-W can come in in full health only, assuming that it hasn't lost its Leftovers and one 95BP Knock Off+ 65BP burned Knock Off KO Rotom, if you use Wow. Opponent can predict a Volt Switch and switch in a Ground Type that can kill RW for example . If you hav to call Rotom back and Crawdaunt comes in again, Rotom can't check it anymore.
Anyway, the safest play when you see a ground type in opponent's team is to use Pain Split, but as i said, prediction is needed
But yeah, it's a counter if you don't give item to Rotom-W lol

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Recover
- Baton Pass
- Nasty Plot

Celebi can come in on any attacks Crawdaunt has, bar Knock Off, outspeed Crawdaunt and scare it off with Giga Drain, which will OHKO Crawdaunt after one round of Life Orb recoil. Even if Crawdaunt is at +2, Crabhammer only deals a little over half to Celebi, which means it can still win one vs one (if required). Recover allows you to be harder to wear down and check many other Pokemon more efficiently while Baton Pass allows you to escape Pursuit from Tyranitar. Lastly, Nasty Plot is there so that you can pass a +2 boost to a teammate or pull off a late game sweep.

Relevant calculations are here:
252 Atk Life Orb Adaptability Crawdaunt Crabhammer vs. 252 HP / 224+ Def Celebi: 99-117 (24.5 - 28.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Kingdra @ Scope Lens

EVs: 64 HP / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
Modest Nature

So this is a CritDra set which I often use in UU and it works really well. If it can set the Focus Energy, then it will get a definite crit. Draco Meteor OHKOes Crawdant every time and HP Electric will 2HKO it. You can also set up Agility if you have time to boost its speed instead of Focus Energy because a Draco Meteor without a crit will even OHKO Kingdra.

The only really thing you need on this set is Diamond Storm. The other moves are basically filler (you mostly use Diancie for trick room though), but choose whatever you need for your team!

Diancie has a great typing when it comes to countering Staraptor. As a Rock type, it has a resistence to Staraptor's Normal and Flying type Stabs but also takes, because of it's Fairy typing, neutral damage from Close Combat which keeps many Rock and Steel types from being a counter.

As these Calcs show: Every move Staraptor uses, is at minimum a 3HKO:

252+ Atk Choice Band Staraptor Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Diancie: 110-130 (36.1 - 42.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Reckless Staraptor Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Diancie: 99-117 (32.5 - 38.4%) -- 98.1% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

After then coming in and taking a hit, Diancie can then retaliate and kill Staraptor (Recoil or lowered Defenses):
4 Atk Diancie Diamond Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Staraptor: 290-344 (93.2 - 110.6%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

And...don't mention U-turn:
252+ Atk Choice Band Staraptor U-turn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Diancie: 32-38 (10.5 - 12.5%) -- possibly the worst move ever
