Since I have a lot of breeding projects and always breed for 6IV anyway I'm going to go with a somewhat large batch of 3k divided in tinier batches of 100. Pokemon might be changed around but meh I doubt it.
Also it should be noted that my goal in most cases is 6IV, not shininess. I happen to be just a tiny little bit addicted to wondertrade (and have a foreign ditto) though so basically anything I breed is automatically masudae'd. So... why not help?

Ok, so I used to contribute to the Masuda Method without Shiny Charm research thread, but since I recently acquired my very own Shiny Charm, I'm shifting towards this one. I'll also start with a pledge of 100. I'm breeding myself a shiny Alomomola, so with that huge amount of hatch steps (like 10000) It'll take a while for me to reach that goal. I'm using a Male 5IV Italian Clauncher and a USA Female 5IV Alomomola.

Batch 1: 100/100 - 0 Shinies
Batch 2: 100/100 - 0 Shinies
Batch 3: 50/50 - 0 Shinies

:( I'll stop for now. I don't have the huge amounts of free time I used to.

I started counting when i was around a 500-1000 eggs already, just didnt know exactly so started from 0 for the thread. Meaning i got my first shiny at about 1200-1700? with the wrong ability (frisk). So now I think I deserve to be lucky now xd

Too bad then. I really don't know what to say. Some of us hatch more than 1000 eggs and get nothing while some lucky other get it with it the first box. When come down to RNG anything can happen and now we exp it. But when do stuff like this, patience is the key. Trust me, you get it soon if you keep at it.
PS: I sick of Flabebe now. Her shiny form isn't much different so i must keep the keen eye of every hatched one. Now with 1000eggs hatched my eyes really sore now

Finally able to post an update after months of inactivity. Pfew.

I was so awfully busy the last couple of months, I didn't even have time to breed.
Started breeding for my Chinchou two days ago. It hatched after 236 eggs.
It was a pain in the ass to get, although I don't really want to complain since some of you guys seem to have the worst possible luck.
I'm really sorry to hear that, it seems I'm really, really lucky when it comes to shinies.

So that brings my new total on;
Eggs hatched; 514
Shinies; 4

That brings me on a 1/~129 chance. Quite nice.
I'm going for a Trapinch next. I want that shiny Flygon so bad. :')

Another 300 down, still no Karrablasts. Now at 1800 Karrablasts, 0 shinies, and a 2000 egg dry streak. That hurts, after maintaining a 1/300 ratio for my first five thousand eggs.

New total : 7100 eggs, 19 shinies. I WILL GET KARRABLAST COME HELL OR HIGH WATER!

I'm on quite a dry spell right now. This hunt has been going on for months to the point where I hiatus'd pokemon for a while in frustration. I actually got my first random encounter shiny ever today that was not intentional.
The number is a slight bit off, since my calculations were based off of my absol hunt (which ended in 300 w/o the shiny charm) plus my approximate number of other eggs hatched (I gave myself 100- which is actually a really high estimate. It's likely slightly lower) minus my total hatched eggs. This resulted in the number 900, but it could be a little higher depending on various factors. It's close enough that it shouldn't add or subtract to the overall study.
