Overview
########

  • Ice + Electric Awesome dual STAB combination
  • Very Strong Blizzard
  • Volt Switch
  • Decently bulky
  • Good ability in Levitate
  • Fairly unpredictable
  • relies on the inaccurate Blizzard
  • Stealth Rock weakness
Choice Scarf
########
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Blizzard
move 3: Thunderbolt
move 4: Trick / Hidden Power Ice
ability: Levitate
item: Choice Scarf
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========
  • Volt Switch for momentum while still hitting fairly hard
  • Blizzard has nearly perfect coverage with Volt Switch hitting Grass- and Ground-types for super effective damage. Has bad accuracy tho
  • Thunderbolt is a reliable STAB move that 2HKOs offensive Pokemon neutral to it
  • Trick cripples specially defensive Pokemon such as Lickilikcy as well as setup sweepers
  • Hidden Power Ice can be used as an accurate yet decently strong Ice type STAB move

Set Details
========
  • Max Speed and Special Attack to increase offensive potential
  • Choice Scarf lets it ouspeed the whole unboosted metagame

Usage Tips
========

  • This is a revenge killer against threats such as Scyther, Jumpluff, Tauros, Dodrio, Chatot, etc.
  • Volt switch is usually safe as Blizzard presence usually deters Ground-types from switching in.
  • Beware when locking yourself into Thunderbolt
  • Trick against Lickilicky switch ins but put thought into it because Rotom is also an useful revenge killer
  • Dont switch this into attacks

Team Options
========

  • Hazards users such as Whirlipede and Roselia on offense because this forces many switches
  • Misdreavus keeps hazards off the field decently and fits well on offense as a nice pivot to fall back on
  • Water-types such as Poliwrath have nice synergy with Rotom and they also beat Piloswine.
  • Pelipper and Prinplup are great too for Defog support which is very usefulwith this set
  • Grass-types like Tangela hae nice offensive synergy
  • Sneasel
  • U-turn users such as Scyther also make for great partners as they keep up momentum

SubSplit
########
name: SubSplit
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Blizzard
move 3: Thunderbolt
move 4: Pain Split
ability: Levitate
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========
  • Substitute is the main move on the set as Rotom-F forces a lot of switches due to the nature of its STAB moves and its likelyhood of carrying a Choice item. Behind a sub Rotom is then protected from potential revenge killers as well as weak walls such as Togetic who can't even break it most of the time. It also pairs wonderfully with Pain Split helping in beating Pokemon such as Lickilicky.
  • Blizzard is Rotom's strongest attack and hits almost everything that doesn't resist it very hard.
  • Thunderbolt has almost perfect coverage with Blizzard hitting bulky Water-types that can take the move
  • Pain Split helps Rotom recover HP thanks to its low HP stat and it also pressures walls such as Lickilicky into using Wish.
  • Will-o-Wisp can be used over Pain Split but it has very limited targets and Rotom-F is better off attacking most of the time.

Set Details
========
  • Max Speed and Special Attack to increase offensive potential
  • Life Orb gives Rotom wallbreaking potential

Usage Tips
========

  • Substitute is usually a very safe move to go for unless Rotom is low on health. Especially when you are expecting a switch of some sort
  • Pain Split when low against walls such as Lickilicky
  • Try to keep your item unrevealed until it is time to attack as Rotom can easily force out Pokemon with the threat of its Choice Scarf set

Team Options
========

  • Entry hazards support is very useful as Rotom forces a lot of switches. Toxic Spikes are especially great on this set and the best Pokemon to set them up are Whirlipede and Roselia who can also set up Spikes. Stealth Rock can be provided by Pokemon such as Golem.
  • Misdreavus protects those hazards and also has decent synergy with Rotom by resisting Fighting-type attacks aimed at it
  • Late game sweepers such as Tauros and Carracosta appreciate Rotom's wallbreaking potential

Other Options
########
  • Choice Specs
  • Chesto Berry Rest
  • Shadow Ball
  • Hidden Power Grass
Checks & Counters
########

  • **Special Walls**: Lickilicky eats any hit up and only fears Trick from Choice Scarf variants. Knock Off variants can outstall Substitute+Pain Split in the long run and Body Slam variant usually have an easy time against it. Specially Defensive Flareon has an equally nice time versus it.
  • **Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Kecleon, Throh, Ninetales, Regice, Klang all take two or three hits and force it out or 2HKO back at worst.
  • **Passive Damage**: Rotom-F is weak to Stealth Rock and prone to Toxic and Burns meaning that sets without Pain Split get worn down really fast.
  • **Electric-type immunities**: They can't really take Blizzard but Ground-types and Lightningrod users such ad Raichu they prevent Thunderbolt and Volt Switch spam and get a free turn whenever Rotom-F is locked into it. Piloswine is a special exception because it also resists Blizzard but it cannot reliably beat Substitute+Pain Split sets if it isn't carrying Stone Edge but takes most attacks just fine and wears Rotom down with Icicle Crash/Spear.
  • **Revenge Killers**: Tauros, Ninetales, Dodrio, and Sneasel all outspeed non Choice Scarf variant and OHKO or just force out Rotom-F

Overview
########
Its not /that/ strong as it gets stopped by a lot of walls (licki/pilo/etc)
I dont think 'can run multiple sets is necessary

SubSplit
########
IMO scarf should be first

Team Options
========
Remove Garbodor mention
there are probably more specific team mates. I guess it already beats its normal checks and counters (maybe something to beat throh?)

Choice Scarf
########

Moves
========
mention w/o trick it gets walled by piloswine

Usage Tips
========
Mention that it can revenge kill
Also say what to trick on (LICKILICKY/PILOSWINE for example)

Team Options
========
Volturn cores
Hazard removal (make it a seperate point)
I trust that you will expand on stuff when u write it up

Checks & Counters
########

  • **Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Klang doesnt ohko, just say 'KO back' or 'OHKO or use as set up fodder'
  • **Passive Damage**: Isnt pain splits job to stop this?
  • **Ground-types**: I think you can rename this to piloswine, as iirc no other ground can take a blizzard

Could SubWisp with leftovers be worth a slash or at least a mention? It's really nice to be able to cripple physical attackers and wear down things you'd otherwise have trouble with.

yeah i agree with scarf being the first set

also i wouldn't say defog support is necessary with the scarf set, especially since rotom likes to be on offensive teams.

not much else to say, just remove the serperior mention
