Makes sense; they were both in XY and the only real reason they were in Emerald was because it was really damn hard getting all Johto 'mon...
Yeah. Seems like they really mean it when having ORAS + XY will allow you to complete the National Pokédex.

Thanks for the fix Kiga, should be fixed now. Glad to hear Happiny is in the game, been meaning to get myself a Blissey. Looking forward to getting a Porygon too, I wonder if it'll be bought in a casino like in some of the other games?

MapID: 509
Grass: Klink(38)/Klink(37)/Klink(36)/Tynamo(38)/Tynamo(37)/Tynamo(36)/Excadrill(38)/Excadrill(37)/Excadrill(36)/Onix(36)/Onix(37)/Onix(38)

There is a whole bunch of grass patches with this. I have a feeling this will be the area to evolve Nosepass and Magneton.

I wonder if we're going to get Gen 2, 4 and/or 5 starters as gifts in ORAS (hopefully with Hidden Abilities if so). Is it possible to extract things received from NPCs from the data?

Hard to say. An interview with Junichi Masuda stated in his own words that between ORAS and XY we can easily complete the Pokédex.

By that logic, there should be some way of obtaining them because if there isn't, it would go against what he said.

Especially considering how important and infamous the starters are to so many people; more so than like... Tynamo or whatever.
I'm pretty much certain you'll get them as gifts, assuming the wild Pokémon data shown here is complete - perhaps even from regional professor cameos.

Yeah. I already own all the starters so it isn't an issue of not having access to them, but if we can get them in ORAS and be able to get the hidden abilities for them I'll be quite happy.

Not so happy about having to re-breed for shinies if this comes to be true though.

I'm more thinking maybe in Mirage Spots as the main site made it sound like you have a chance of finding a Legendary there, meaning other Pokemon can be found there too.

Porygon doesn't appear to show up in the Encounter table. Maybe one is given to you as a gift or possibly traded for in game?
Porygon not in the encounter table? Only as a gift?
MEGA PORYGON-Z CONFIRMED

realtalk Porygon better be in this game; no generation's complete without the best of all 'mon
Exhibit A of a fatal logic error: Talking about finding Porygon as if he's been available in the wild besides the White Forest(which isn't even that wild).

EDIT:I can't tell if EtherDrive is attention starved or what, but out of all the not-funny things...

Porygon being a gift makes more sense because it's not a natural Pokemon; it's man-made. The only times you could find it in the wild were in the Trophy Garden in D/P (it was a giftmon in Platinum) and White Forest (even then only under specific circumstances).

On terms of the so called Move Tutors, I have some solid proof ORAS may be getting identical or altered move tutors. Reason?

Wally's 'superboss' team has an Azumarill with Iron Tail, which is a tutor move.

Edit: on a side note, I hope his superboss team is a daily battle.

Shouldn't the fact that we found the move tutor data be evidence enough?

I'm still holding out for Boomburst or Nasty Plot tutor. Mega Pidgeot can't be THAT bad. If GF made Beedrill that good, they surely wouldn't just shaft Pidgeot like that would they?

heat wave hurricane and a hidden power is about all it needs with it's speed and special attack tbh

I am guessing that if there was ever Boombursts tutor (there totes won't be but) I suspect the trend of going to Mediocre Pokemon would remain constant.

I mean come on. Meloetta doesn't get Boomburst.
Well, yes and no. It could be place holder data, or copy + paste data. You never really know.
But gen 6 pokemon have data for the tutors, too...

Coverage wise yes, but it really isn't powerful enough. I guess it could pass with Work Up, but if it doesn't get Nasty Plot or some other boost it gets no higher than UU. While Boomburst is unlikely, Nasty Plot seems very plausible. Even just Hyper Voice would help it out (which it could still get, if some tutor data is just copy/paste from B2/W2 and they haven't changed it yet).

And there's no way Dark Pulse and Sleep Talk make it in the game. I'm 99% sure of it.
Honestly they are probably going to be replaced with different moves since Blastoise still learns TM97 Dark Pulse and TM88 Sleep Talk and Ruby / Sapphire only went up to TM50.

They probably have plans of using B2W2's tutors as a base for the new ORAS ones.

neutral hurricane does more than neutral hypervoice so i'm not really sure how that would help
252 SpA Pidgeot Hyper Voice vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 78-93 (12.1 - 14.4%) -- possible 7HKO
252 SpA Pidgeot Hurricane vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 94-112 (14.6 - 17.4%) -- possible 6HKO

it also breaks a LOT of walls with its coverage

sorry i know this isn't a competitive discussion, but these new megas don't need to be completely broken to be useful

@ below
252 SpA Pidgeot Hurricane vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Greninja: 246-289 (86 - 101%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

and that's timid. so it certainly CAN ohko greninja

That's why I said that new tutors for Pidgeot are plausible. Defog, Moonblast, Double-Edge, Sucker Punch, Nasty Plot, Parabolic Charge, and Draining Kiss all seem possible additions to the list

But it's not that useful. I did calcs, and this thing can't even one-shot Greninja with Hurricane. Possibly a decent late game sweeper, but as of right now it needs something else.
