This thread contains a compilation of the best BW OU teams ever built. Keep in mind its only goal is providing good teams so new users can understand quicker how this fascinating metagame works. Feel free to comment, give me suggestions or use any of these teams in tournaments. If you believe you have built one of the teams that I posted here (same Pokémons with the same movesets and similar EV spreads) and feel offended with it being here, PM me with a replay or log of you using it (or any other way you can prove the team is yours) and I will remove it from the thread.

Nevertheless, if you post something that doesn’t contribute to the thread in any way, being it either flood or trashtalk, Bedschibaer guaranteed me your post is going to be deleted and you will receive a warn for it, so don’t even bother. The last thread I made had many flooding posts (some even from Moderators of this community, who seem to approve disrespectful behaviours), so I had to delete it. I will put it more clearly this time: I don’t want to see disrespectful behaviors here.

I will separe the teams into the categories below:

-------------------
1. Sandstorm
2. Rain
3. Weatherless
4. Sun
5. Hail
-------------------
Now let's get to the teams:
PS: If possible, take the time to enjoy the music I've choosen for each category! :)

1. Sandstorm:

Team 1: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 1

I made this team specially to play Harsha and Bad Ass in World Cup's r1, and it totally worked. It's pretty much just standard ttarscarf+landt+rotomw core with chomper and superachi as win conditions and a gem keldeo as another water/ice resist. This team was also my first time running Adamant Chomper and it is awesome. This team is very solid and one of my favorites, although it lacks decent Volcarona, Calm Mind Reuniclus and Keldeo checks.

Replays against Harsha (wc r1) and Bad Ass (wc r1):

Team 2: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 2

I made this team to play in the week 1 of last year's SPL and it worked pretty well. I've changed chomper > terrakion to make the team better (although more volcarona weak) and it's a pretty solid team if you forget Gyarados exists. While Choice Band Tyranitar pursuits or hit hard Keldeo's counters and checks (Jellicent, Slowbro, Slowking, Starmie, Latios, Latias, Celebi, Tentacruel and Amoonguss), Choice Scarf Jirachi offers momentum for the team (being also able to put something back in the game with Healing Wish) and Landorus-T puts Stealth Rock in the field and also provides a switch to physical attackers like Terrakion, Scizor and Garchomp. Choice Specs Latios just spams strong moves and Subs Swords Dance Adamant Garchomp is there to open space in the opponent's team defenses.

Team 3: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 3

This is a team I made to play Robert in POWC. It is pretty solid overall, it's just bad to have spikes without spinning or spin blocking and the pretty much the whole team having Spikes issues. Other than that, it matchups fine against popular playstyles. I used it in POWC and tour and got some wins. Slowking is a pretty interesting and underrated Keldeo check and support for Garchomp and Calm Mind Jirachi with Thunder Wave.

This team was made to beat opposing Sandstorm Bulky teams and I considered using it to play CTC in World Cup’s finals. It's pretty solid overall, although being very weak to volcarona, alakazam and reuniclus.

Team 5: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 5

This was based on a Stoutland team Dragonuser made for 2013’s Smogon World Cup, but it has very different movesets in each pokémon. Again it's just standard ttarscarf+landt+water resists+superachi and chomper as win conditions. I used it in some round of superstars and powc and it worked.

Team 6: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 6

This team was based on a Sands team Bloo spammed last season's smogon tour (with different spreads). It's a pretty bad team overall, but it matchups well against some playstyles. I used it in POWC with success, so the team is not that bad.

Team 7: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 7

This is my version of a team Masterclass and Bloo spammed in tour, having different spreads in each Pokémon and Bulk Up Breloom instead of the Leech Seed set. It's pretty good overall; it's only flaw is having this terrible Starmie set, which fails to check Keldeo. I used it in some rounds of superstars and POWC, and it did ok.

Team 8: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 8

This was based on an old gr8astard’s team, with Garchomp over Terrakion and different speads in all Pokémons. I've never used it in a tournament match, but it seems very good. It has Celebi, Dragonite and Garchomp as win conditions, and Hippowdon, Jirachi and Starmie as a pretty solid defensive core.

Team 9: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 9

This team was based on a team Leftiez sometimes uses in tournaments. It's pretty solid overall, although it lacks a decent answer to Keldeo. I used it in a POWC game and it worked.

Team 10: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 10

This is my version of TVRocka's signature team. It is pretty solid, although you pretty much forfeit against Volcarona. This is the first team on the list where I am running Jolly Garchomp because chomper x chomper use to happen a lot with this team, as it doesn't have Landorus-T as an answer to opposing chomper.

Team 11: Sandstorm Bulky Offense 11

This team was created based on a team reyscarface used in World Cup and Frontier. It is pretty solid overall, although it has this terrible starmie. I've used it in ladder only, and it seemed fine.

This team is based on a team gr8astard used in 2013's Smogon World Cup. It is not very solid overall and it's 6-0d by Volcarona and many playstyles, but I will just add it here anyway.

This is my version of a team McMeghan used sometimes, but with very different movesets in all Pokémons. I don't like it much, as scarf keldeo is pretty bad at the moment, but I will just add it here anyway.

Team 15: Sandstorm Stall 1

This is my verision of the standard and very famous Scarf Tyranitar + Landt + FGW (Fire Pokémon + Grass Pokémon + Water Pokémon) + Reuniclus stall. It is not very good and has many flaws, but it works against some matchups. Just stall a lot and hope Reuniclus doesn't get crit so it can sweep.

Team 16: Sandstorm Stall 2

This is my version of a team BKC has used many times in smogon tours. Again, it's just standard ttar+chomper+spikes+reuniclus as win condition. It has Dragon Tail Chomper, which is pretty interesting.

Team 17: Sandstorm Stall 3

This is my version of a team Leftiez used to beat Bloo in Smogon Tour’s semifinals. It's just another standard Tyranitar+Spikes+Reuniclus as win condition. It has scarf heatran, which is pretty interesting.

Team 18: Sandstorm Stall 4

Again, just standard Scarf Tyranitar + Hippowdon (dual sandstorm inducers strategy)+FGW+forretress as Spinner. It is a classic Sandstorm Full Stall team.

Team 19: Sandstorm Stall 5

This is my version of a Masterclass' team which Bloo spammed in tour and frontier. It's pretty solid, although it's destroyed by Volcarona. This team is very interesting because it has Taunt in two pokémon (Skarmory and Gliscor) who normally don't run this move, so it offers good momentum against opposing stall (which is good because the team lacks spinner) while also being good against many offensive playstyles. Instead of Hidden Power Ice on its last moveslot, Alakazam carries Psych Up so it has a shot to beat Volcarona while stopping Reuniclus' late game sweep.

Tyranitar (F) @ Chople Berry

2. Rain

Team 20: Rain Bulky Offense 1

I built this team based on a strategy gr8astard developed to play 2013's Smogon World Cup finals. It has many flaws, but it's a very solid team overall. I used it in Superstars semifinals against Conflict and in many POWC games, and the team worked pretty well.

Team 21: Rain Bulky Offense 2

This is my version of a standard rain offense team everyone uses in tour. It's pretty good for a rain ofense and one of my favorite teams. Modest Specs Latios + LO Analytic Starmie with hazards up do a huge pressure to the opponent's team. Dual hazard Ferrothorn is specially good in this team and I would never use another moveset for it. Just spam Draco Meteor + Hydro Pump to beat Ferrothorn (or burn it with Scald or Trick it with Latios) and Gyarados wins the game. One more time Adamant Garchomp is there to save the day and smash the opponen's defense in the beginning of the game.

This is a cool rain offense I made for Smogon Tour. It's not very solid as it is an offense team that lacks a choice scarf Pokémon, but other than that it's fine, I guess. Just spam Hydro Pump with dual hazards Ferrothorn and try to win the game with either Garchomp or bulky Calm Mind Jirachi.

This is my version of a team Hill made to play testbattles with me during World Cup, based on an old rain team from Kidogo. This team is not very solid overall (because it has this terrible Celebi moveset), but it works sometimes. If you are playing against stall, pass Calm Minds to Thundurus-T. If you are playing offense, pass them to Scarf Keldeo. That's pretty much it.

This is the team I prepared to 6x0 Reyscarface (Smogon World Cup semifinals) and 5x0 CTC (Smogon World Cup finals). It was originally a BW1 team, but I made some changes so it worked in BW2 too. It's a pretty bad team overall, but it's good against specific playstyles. I don't really recommend using it if you are not a BW expert, because you will get a bad matchup, get 6-0d and think the team or the tier sucks. Also, as it's a very special team for me (saved Brazil in Smogon World Cup), the importable will have my nicknames. Please keep them if you ever want to try this team. :)

Team 29: Hyper Offense 1

This team is based on Dice's team which Reyscarface used during World Cup. It is an ok team overall; just put rocks in the field, trap something with Magnezone and hit hard with Starmie and broken Dragons. Healing Wish something in the late game to get a sweep.

Just standard dragmag team with Mamoswine to put rocks in the field. After Magnezone has trapped the opponent's steel type, Choice Banded Scizor, Choice Specs Latios and Choice Band KyuremB spam broken moves and try to open space in the opponent's defense. Moxie Salamence with Choice Scarf is the late game sweeper. You can use Icicle Spear > Endeavor on Mamoswine, if you want.

Team 31: Hyper Offense 3

This is my version of a team BKC made and Bad Ass used in World Cup. It is pretty solid overall. Get Stealth Rock + Spikes up, Pursuit Latias/Latios/Celebi/Gengar/Jellicent/Starmie with Choice Band Scizor (the original team had Choice Scarf Scizor) and you have a Bulk Up Breloom and a Calm Mind Keldeo to win the game. Alakazam is also there to offer good support spamming strong moves with hazards up. Also Breloom as lead in team preview fakes a Focus Sash lead, which is pretty cool. It is also possible to run +Psyshock/Psych Up over Psychic/Hidden Power Ice on Alakazam, if you don’t want to be destroyed by Volcarona.

Team 32: Hyper Offense 4

This is one of my best Hyper Offense teams following the classic "Limitless Hyper Offense" formula. I used something like that to beat MarceloDK in SPL, but the team is not very solid overall. Just put rocks in the field with Azelf, put something to sleep with Breloom and try to open space with SD Scizor, SD Adamant Garchomp with Dragon Gem and DD Dragonite. My version of Smurf's Hyper Offense team (which I helped him to develop during our SPL time in frogs), with different movesets so it does better in the current metagame. It's not a very solid team overall (as it lacks answers to threats like Dragonite), but it gets cheap wins against many playstyles.

I built this team to play a specific POWC game and it totally worked. Just get Stealth Rock + Spikes, spin block with Jellicent, open space in the opponent's team with substitute+SD Adamant Garchomp and SD Scizor and revenge kill with Alakazam and Choice Scarf Salamence. It is a pretty good team overall.

4. Sun

------------------------------------

Team 37: Sun Offense 1

This is my final version of the classic Sun Offense team. It's probably my best BW OU team and also my favorite one. I used it to win many World Cup games (Jabba in 2012, Dragonuser in 2013 and Limitless in 2014), frontier, powc, pocl and tour games. I also won my superstars final match and got #1 in the BW OU ladder with it in 2012. Although it is a standard Sun Team, I consider this team 100% mine, because no one else has ever used this Volcarona moveset (item, spread and moves) and this specific Heatran set in a Sun team with Dugtrio. I also made a very similar team to play in 2011's World Cup. It's a pretty cool team, and please keep the nicknames if you ever want to use it, because this team is very special for me.

Replays against Limitless (wc r1) and Reymedy (superstars finals):

Team 38: Sun Offense 2

This is my version of another standard Sun Offense team, similar to what Bloo used in Smogon Tour's semifinals. It's not as good as the previous Sun team, but it works fine because Growth Venusaur is very scary after the opponent's weather inducer has been trapped. It also has Flame Charge Heatran as win condition and Choice Scarf Victini to spam V-create after the opponent's Tyranitar/Heatran have been trapped.

5. Hail

------------------------------------
Team 39: Hail Offense 1

This is a standard Hail Offense team with mixed Abomasnow as inducer, Landorus-T to put Stealth Rock in the field, both Latios and Starmie as water resists (mainly Keldeo answers), Choice Scarf Jirachi as Steel type and revenge killer (also being able to Healing Wish something in the late game) and Volcarona with Hidden Power Ground as win condition.

Team 40: Hail Stall 1

This was originally a BW1 Hail Stall that I built years ago. It is still pretty decent in the current metagame, althought Hail is not a very solid playstyle.

on my reuniclus team, i think you need fully physdef gastrodon since keldeo can very easily rip you up otherwise. the sdef doesnt really do much anyway, youll tank most of what you need to regardless, and scarftar backs it up against the few things that might threaten to break through it. i also use max hp gengar since off the top of my head i cant think of any situations where i'd have wanted more spatk but i can think of many where the extra bulk has saved it (for example surviving +2 luc bp after sr).

Just for clarification, i am not Hellraisers personal guard nor am i really fond of the format of team archives per se. This thread should be a compilation of good and tested teams and a place to discuss them and nothing more. I will not strictly infract every somewhat malicious post as the OP implies. Feel free to post critique but keep the thread civil.

Yahboi, cool teams. I am officially decided that once I get good and end up in a few big tours (SPL, WCoP, STour) (idk when, 6 months or so I hope), I will make a team archive for ADV-BW. Will edit this post with critiques and whatnot, this is just for da hype.

Edit: Yeah, actually I'm going to RMT one of my good teams, preferably one I win a Tour with, to celebrate 1 year on the site (upcoming) and 100 Likes total. Already have a few solid teams that can make it, will put it to a poll if I cant decide.

Some critiques: On HO 3, Team 31 there's a mistake in the importable, it gives Breloom's ability as Effect Spore. On Rain BO 3, Team 22, could you run Scarf Latios over Specs? You can still exert a ton of pressure thanks to Starmie while being really solid against boosting sweepers like DDNite and whatnot.

Oh yeah, and in the post below, it seems that CTC's still salty about WCoP Finals(Read his post, ignore all non italicised words, and you'll see what I mean)

Go for your dream, bro, I'm sure you will win a tour sooner than you think. VM me if you ever need help.

Team 31: edited, thanks.
Team 22: Scarf Latios sucks because it fails to do its job properly (spam Draco Meteor and kill pokémons). Probably changing Scarf > Specs on Toed would be better, but I don't really like losing Specs Toed's offensive power. It's up to you, I guess.

About the referenced user in your last line, let him talk; I guess he will always be salty remembering how he got 5-0d in front of 1k spectators in the only thing he considers himself good at. In fact, the majority of this community's player base will always be salty about a bunch of Brazilians who they considered to be inferior winning the whole thing and being better in the game than their forum authority or enormous quantity of badges made them think they were. It's more than clear that many users in this forum wanted to hide Brazil's victory, not allowing us to do our victory podcast and uploading in Smogon's Youtube channel two of our final's loses and none of our wins. While this community's competitive player base is in chaos, I will be here enjoying my recent Superstars' trophy.

PS: More teams were added (including a Hail Team) to the thread.

Haters will be hatin. Just don't let it get you down: Team Brazil won WCoP 2014, and even Sal-T-C cant change that. I'll be going for the Tour win from now, my teams are built and ready (just need to borrow a laptop from a friend so I can play w/o my parents noticing hehehe.) The new teams are p cool too, SubRoost Kyurem is a beast despite hail not being great. Most of the teams are solid enough despite a lot of them being variations of something so they're fine without me I guess :)

Hey, just curious, how do you handle mamoswine on your sand teams? Except for the first team's rotom I don't see any switch ins really, and I know this is fairly symptomatic of sand offense, but how do you handle it?

I don't see how any of them is Mamoswine weak.
The teams have keldeo / ttar scarf / jirachiscarf / yache adamant / ferrothorn / slowking / jellicent / starmie /kingdra / mew to beat it 1x1 and some teams have rotomw to check it pretty well.

Thanks for posting your teams. I was able to pick a few and WhiteQueen'ed them up and archieved victories with them, until that punk Evuelf haxxed me from a sure win situation.

I wasn't criticizing I was just curious, because there aren't many switch ins. Mamo can't switch in either really, so it's not a huge worry, but I was just curious.

is team 29.. supposed to have brightpowder magnezone?
What does it do?
That is a good question, and my reason is the fact that I dislike choiced Magnezone in that specific team.
It is possible to use Leftovers, but as in most situation Magnezone will have trapped the Steel type (Choice Scarf Jirachi, Choice Band Scizor, Ferrothorn, Forretress, etc) and will be behind a Substitute, Brightpowder offers you two chances of dodging a move. As Magnezone's job will be over (it trapped the steel type), it will probably be sacrificed and Leftovers will be completly useless on it.

Besides, with brightpowder you have a legit 37% chance of dodging each Focus Blast from pokémons like Gengar and Alakazam, and you can even try to setup Substitutes against a Rotom-W using Hydro Pump if there is no Steel type pokémon to be trapped! :toast:

PS: You can also try Quick Claw there.

Disaster Area

lol when you do that they have about 40% chance to hit both c: and I'm appreciative of the logic of that.

Just curious if you've ever come across this set and whether it might fit (It's a variant on subcharge magnezone, but as it lacks HP Fire, it'll be unsuitable for trapping volt switch forretress and certain scizor variants)

Magnezone @ Lefties
Not sure on EVs tbh
Substitute
Charge Beam
Barrier
HP Ice

I don't really play the tier but my friend polop has used this variant to some extent, although I created it independenty. HP Ice is generally the finest option against a sweep from a last mon, but with this set you effectively get a mini countersweep when you trap ferrothorn and trappable variants of other pokemon. I guess it depends on how crucial it is to catch forretress on that team, and the fact that they'll probably get 3 layers of spikes on you. Not sure if it fits or whether it's a viable set, but I've always been curious since I created it (although I was an AV torkoal in ubers type user when I made this soooo I'm pretty fine if the set's shit)

Well, it depends on the team, I guess.
But this set seems more like a situational gimmick to me. As you said, its usually bad that Ferrothorn/Forretress get all layers of Spikes against you.

I noticed(or at least I searched all over) that you dont have any teams with conkeldurr, is it a bad mon, or do you just personally dislike it?

the teams are still viable?
I'm not going to go through each team one-by-one, but I would advise against using most of them. Even back when Sogeking was in his prime, a lot of these teams had a few things that made me :pikuh:, but now a lot of them are dated/suboptimal. There are surely a couple of the rain and weatherless offenses that can still go just given the nature of those archetypes and the Pokemon Sogeking frequented being pretty timeless, but I would use with caution and try to compare to more recent tournament proven builds to see if they are anything similar before using.
