Sorry for the wait, battlers and viewers! Looks like we had a bit of technical difficulties. We have here, a showdown of...tiny, proportions? A Little Cup fight! And here to start us off are Anning the Cranidos and Santa Anna the Lotad. Lotad has the clear type advantage here, but we certainly can't disregard Cranidos' raw attacking power. Let's see how this fight shapes up.

Anning starts the fight off, digging her claws into the dirt as she charges forward abruptly and smacks Santa Anna clear in the nose with a devastating Head Smash! The little lilypad flies backward and crashes into the back wall, and Anning finds herself unable to stop, so she digs her head in the ground and grinds to a stop, taking some recoil damage in the process. After Santa Anna's short flight, the Lotad wiggles its way back to her feet and hops into the pool near the middle of the arena, summoning a massive wave of Surf to crush Anning under the water. The attack hits for some great damage, and Anning has a bit of difficulty standing back up.

Retaliating immediately, Anning slams head first into the ground, creating sharp spires of Stone Edge that fly forward into the pool and strike Santa Anna solidly. The Lotad responds by floating back to the surface, and the water around her bubbles with intense heat as she fires out a Scald that burns through the Cranidos' body critically! The Lotad jumps out of the water to conserve energy, and takes a battle-ready stance. The damage really is stacking up for Anning here, folks, but Santa Anna doesn't look in the best shape either.

Anning struggles through her burn, but comes through yet again with another Head Smash, hitting with enough force to once again send Santa Anna flying back. The recoil and the burn means double the pain for the Cranidos, though, as she struggles to keep up with Santa Anna's super-effective hits. Speaking of super-effective, Santa Anna managed to land conveniently in the pool, and summons yet another Surf, and the waves crash down for some massive hurt on the poor Cranidos. What an intense attack!

Just a note that all rounding happens at the end of the round, not immediately, so Lotad actually has 32 HP (Cranidos ends up still having 12 with proper rounding as the little bit he got back from Head Smash doing less offsets Surf doing a little more)
