[ASBuddies R1] Team EUWHAFOIFARN vs The Crystal Warriors

"Welcome one and all to a Round One battle for the wildly anticipated (by Leethoof) ASBuddies tournament! I, SubwayJ, along with some of my pokemon will be reffing today's battle! Before I begin, I would like to wish both teams good luck in their battle!"

This battle features what some may consider to be the tourney favourites in Elevator Music and Leethoof from team EUWHAFOIFARN. With both a strong team and strong battlers to back them up, can they be beat?

On the other hand, we have another extremely strong pairing in akela and waterwarrior from The Crystal Warriors. While they aren't as favoured in this matchup as their opponents, both of these trainers are capable of wreaking havoc, especially with the pokemon they have trained.

Leethoof:

Rhyperior [Helton] (Male)
Nature: Sassy (+ Sp.Def, -Speed)

In the presence of Helton's big jolly and outgoing personality, nearly everyone instantly feels comfortable, as if they have known him for decades. A dedicated partier and generally social guy, Helton has taken the reins of leadership for Lee's team. He fights instinctively and without much thought, but is usually rather successful. And when he isn't, he shrugs it off as some good training and cheers on the rest of his team.

Aerodactyl [Tulowitzki] (Male)
Nature: Jolly (+ Speed, -Sp.Atk)

Tulowitzki is an arrogant showoff like nobody else. He's just as happy to win an important match as he is to look good losing one, and could care less about the outcome as long as people understand he was the MVP. Sure, he appreciates his teammates, but only if they admit that he was the star of the show. Which, of course, he is.

Musharna (Siddhartha) (M)
Nature: Quiet (+Sp Atk, -15% Speed)

At first glance, Siddhartha might seem to be the most compassionate of Pokemon in the Stratons' team. He often strikes up conversations and asking others about their lives, and his nightly dream duty saves a lot of Pokemon from nightmares before they start. However, behind this lies an ulterior motive - to know absolutely everything. Siddhartha actively seeks out the educated elite of the world, invading and prodding their mind with Psychic assaults. His unquenchable thirst for knowledge is toned down among his few true friends, but he is still constantly searching.

Team EUWHAFOIFARN seems to have brought a group of very strong Pokemon that they are extremely capable of using. The one exception however, is Herakurosu the Heracross. Will this newcomer to Emma's team be a great boon? Or could it be possible that Emma won't be able to use him fully due to his lack of practice with the bug?

The Crystal Warriors have also brought a very strong team it seems. Both users seem to have had a good deal of experience with each of their pokemon, which could leave an opening over their opponents and their new Heracross! Notably on this team we have Eiko Carrol the Gothielle. Shadow Tag is a huge boon when switching is a precious commodity, and the relative rarity of Gothielle in ASB could give the Warriors the upper hand!

--------------------------------------------------------

Battle Rules
B3P2+B3P2 vs. B3P2+B3P2 Tag Team Doubles
DQ = 4 Days, (2 Months Total per battle)
Items = ON
Switch = OK
Abilities = All
Megas = 1 per team
Chills/Recover s= 5/2
Substitutions = 3
Arena = ASB arena

And now for the coin flip!

[Heads = Elevator Music and Leethoof to send out, Tails = waterwarrior and akela to send out]

It's Tails!

This means our order will be:
akela and waterwarrior will send out their Pokémon!
Leethoof and Elevator Music will send out their Pokémon and order!
akela and waterwarrior will order!
SubwayJ will commence reffification!

Again the best of luck to both teams and I hope we can have a successful and exciting battle!

***Note: "Eleetvator until we have a flash of insight for a real name" doesn't fit in the title with everything else, so abbreviations were needed unfortunately :(

I'll send out Bronzong @ Rare Candy.

Bronzong: Gyro Ball (Pinsir) ~ Heavy Slam (Pinsir) ~ Gyro Ball (Pinsir)
IF (Pinsir is under the effects of a protective/evasive move) THEN (use Rock Slide)
IF (Pinsir uses Bide a1) THEN (use Gyro Ball (Alakazam) ~ Heavy Slam (Alakazam) ~ Protect)
IF (Pinsir is underground when you would attack) THEN (use Earthquake)

"Well, it looks like all of my trainers are occupied doing other far more important things, so I'll just join a third battle while they aren't watching. Its one of my hobbies, to be fighting in several battles simultaneously. I'm very good at it, you know? Wait - what are you doing here, Annabelle? This is a tournament arena, its no place for an unnaturally fluffy tweety bird like you."
"I got lost, Tulowitzki! The girls went off with Lee, and Don went with..you?...and Louise and Siddhartha to go to a gym match, and I tried to find the ranch, but I couldn't. Please help!"
"Ugh...just wait till this is all over, and I'll take you back. Don't tell anyone I did it willingly. In the meantime, you get to experience the glory that is me fighting."

Tulowitzki @ Power Herb: Sky Attack (Pinsir) -> Rock Slide -> Sky Attack (Pinsir)
If Pinsir is under the effects of a Protective/Evasive move, then use Crunch (Alakazam).
If Pinsir uses Bide A1, then use Crunch (Alakazam) -> Stone Edge (Alakazam) -> Sky Attack (Pinsir)
If you are to use Sky Attack (Pinsir) and you don't have a Power Herb, then use Stone Edge (Pinsir) instead.

If Grass Knot would be imprisoned when you would use it, change that action to Psychic (Rhyperior)

If Rhyperior uses Bide A1, change A3 to Protect
If Bronzong uses Gyro Ball, change that action to Torment
God I feel these are just beyond terrible

Hello, and welcome back to this fight in the tournament arena! I'm here to subref for SubwayJ, as he had to leave for reasons.

The round starts with Leethoof replacing his fainted Aerodactyl with the always-reliable Rhyperior. akela, seeing this beast take the field, decides to swap out his Pinsir for a Revenankh, who is a more suitable sendout. Then, waterwarrior has his Alakazam trip up Rhyperior with a well-placed Grass Knot, but the Rhyperior glows silver and returns the damage back, nearly destroying Alakazam. This assault is then followed by Bronzong floating over Alakazam, and landing on him, crushing the Psi Pokemon. Meanwhile, it seems that Revenankh had slipped away into the shadows, and now returns, smacking Bronzong for decent damage.

Next, Rhyperior prepares to throw Bronzong, while Revenankh smacks Rhyperior with one of his bandages, dealing decent damage. Afterwards, Rhyperior throws Bronzong at Revenankh, and Bronzong uses its psychic powers to propel itself further and do more damage. The force of the blow nearly knocks out the mummy.

Finally, Revenankh slips into the shadows again for a second strike on Bronzong, while Rhyperior sets up a trap for the Crystal Warriors and Bronzong gets itself off the floor.
