Overview
########

  • Great mixed attacking stats, allowing it to be an effective wallbreaker
  • Flash fire is a fantastic ability to switch on to fire-type attacks, gaining a boost for its own
  • Excellent movepool with coverage moves such as giga drain, knock off, and superpower
  • decent form of priority in sucker punch
  • very frail defenses, meaning it cannot take many hits even resisted ones
  • fairly slow for an offensive pokemon at base 65 speed, as it is outsped by many threats
  • Heatmor's niche over other fire types lies in its mixed coverage and sucker punch, but is unfortunately outclassed by other fire-types in other qualities

Mixed Attacker
########
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Fire Blast
move 2: Giga Drain
move 3: Superpower
move 4: Sucker Punch / Knock Off
ability: Flash Fire
item: Life Orb
evs: 72 Atk / 252 SpA / 184 Spe
nature: Rash

Moves
========

  • fire blast is its most powerful stab move, hitting extremely hard even against some pokemon that resist it
  • giga drain provides great coverage, hitting water and ground types such as poliwrath, carracosta, and golem
  • superpower destroys lickilicky and bastiodon
  • sucker punch is a good priority move to hit faster threats such as tauros and raichu
  • Knock off provides utility, removing items of bulky pokemon such as poliwrath and throh who rely on leftovers for recovery

Set Details
========

  • maximum special attack for obvious reasons
  • 72 attack to ko lickilicky with superpower after switching into fire blast
  • rest in speed to outspeed as many threats as possible
  • rash nature is used to give an increase in special attack to maintain the power of its physical attacks, while lowering its special defense to take priority hits better
  • life orb for significant boost in power
  • flash fire is heatmors best ability to switch into fire-type attacks from the likes of flareon and ninetales, as well as will-o-wisp from pokemon such as misdreavus

Usage Tips
========

  • use appropriate coverage when necessary, such as hitting lickilicky on the switch with superpower
  • Keep paralysis and poison away from heatmor, as paralysis hinders its already mediocre speed and poison damage quickly wears down heatmor coupled with life orb recoil
  • fire blast is generally the best move to go for early game, as it hits hard with a life orb and stab, but should be used sparingly if the opponent has an opposing pokemon with flash fire such as flareon or ninetales. In that case, it is best to hit them with superpower on the switch

Team Options
========

  • stealth rock support from the likes of golem and marowak is helpful to wear down opponents switch ins
  • entry hazard removal support from pokemon such as swanna are helpful to keep heatmor healthy, and they have good synergy with heatmor
  • water types such as simipout and the aforementioned swanna are good partners to switch into water and grass type attacks, and simipour appreciates heatmors wallbreaking ability to help it sweep with nasty plot late game

Other Options
########

  • focus blast
  • expert belt
  • Thunderpunch (ohkos mantine and pelipper after SR)
  • substitute
  • will-o-wisp

Checks & Counters
########

  • faster pokemon (!!) (especially if those resist sucker punch) simipour, sneasel, tauros, barbaracle,, etc
  • priority users (carracosta, purugly, basculin)
  • status (paralysis and toxic are detrimental for it)
  • entry hazards (weak to stealth rock and is quickly worn down all other forms)
  • specially bulky pokemon (throh, altaria, mantine)

I'd definitely add thunderbolt to oo as it ohkoes mantine and pelipper. I'd remove sunny day, low kick, and hone claws from oo, they sound pretty terrible (or outclassed in the case of low kick) and you have plenty of stuff there without them.

Wth? Heatmor doesn't learn thunderbolt, it learns thunder punch

Also, I think you should add Pursuit to OO, it's great for trapping Pokemon and Heatmor does force switches.

Don't forget to talk about knock off in moves

"In that case, it is best to hit them with knock off on the switch" change this to superpower as knock off isn't the first slash

When you mention thunderpunch say that you need sr for it to OHKO pelipper

Mention in the overview that its niche lies in mixed coverage and sucker punch, if you don't need these you're better off using other fires.

These are relatively easy to implement, so I'll just stamp now. QC 1/3, good job.
