Wondering if I should trade over a team I bred specifically to play the game with, or old school it with non IV'd/EV'd mons?

Just got a text from GameStop reminding me to pick up 12:01AM Friday. It's almost here!!!

Scorched Slab has been expanded massively. There's quite a few new floors, and what looks like a legendary Pokemon chamber at the bottom. I wonder what it is?

Ho-oh is probably the best guess considering the vibrancy

Well, I'd thought of Ho-oh, and then I wondered how it would get to the bottom of a small cave. Volcarono might work though.

I think Heatran would get a more lava-y area, since they seem to go to a lot of effort making important things look nice.

though, really, it should be volcarona.

I would hope it's Volcorona personally, and Ho-Oh remains at Navel Rock/Dark clouds. Volcorona has such a... "Hoenn feel" to it

People shouldn't get their hopes up for HA Unova + Johto starters. There was a thread on /vp/ earlier where people tested trading in XY and it looked like the trade servers had been updated for ORAS as some previously-unable-to-be-traded (read: unreleased) stuff is now allowed to be traded. Before it wouldn't allow you to trade them through Wi-Fi (only wireless iirc).

Can now trade:
Latiasite/Latiosite (we know this is in ORAS)
Soul Dew (maybe on Southern Island after the Eon Ticket event?)
Some minor items like the flutes/contest scarves iirc
HA Skrelp (!!!)

Still unable to be traded:
HA Unova/Johto starters
HA Amaura/Tyrunt

I checked the demo datamine to see if the encounter slots had Skrelp anywhere and they don't. But they do have Clauncher. So chances are Skrelp is in the opposite version to whichever game was datamined from the demo.

So unlikely to happen in ORAS: HA Johto + Unova starters, HA Tyrunt/Amarua.
Very likely to be available in ORAS: Adaptability Skrelp.

Obviously will need testing and confirmation, but them allowing it seems to imply we'll be able to get HA Skrelp in ORAS through some means (likely the DexNav).

I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing, but the amount of people saying that the game is even easier than X/Y has me leaning towards using non IV'd/EV'd Pokémon.

The Rival battle in Lilycove is now required for completing the game (which affects speedruns, I guess). Also, I just noticed that they have boosted the levels of everything a ridiculous amount. That rival fight is 5 levels higher. But according to the demo, the Champion battle is 1 level higher. Confusing.

Wasn't Clauncher on the encounter table in the Demo dumps? Which tells us Skrelp is in Omega Ruby and with the Dex Navi, we can find Skrelp with Adaptability.

I just got a text myself telling me that I can get mine at 10pm tonight. That's in about 9 hrs from now. I super excited considering that this will be the first time that I get to go to such a thing.
What actually happens at midnight releases anyway? That's like 2hrs to fill... so I'm assuming that there will be activities or something between 10pm and midnight.

The rival is bridging the level curve

Meanwhile in the Champion (& E4 in general) had a massive level bump as you progressed so any changes to those levels would be smaller

Don't forget we have yet to know who the hell are Poké Maniac Kelvin, Aroma Lady Carnation, Fairy Tale Girl Josephine, Bug Maniac Felix and Rich Boy Antoin. For those who don't know, they are, respectively, Ground, Grass, Fairy, Bug and Poison type specialists found in the demo dumps.
