[ASBuddies R1] #aopsgate vs Team Bacon!

"Welcome, one and all, to the newest and most exciting ASB Tournament, the ASBuddies Tournament! I'm your host and musical entertainment for tonight, Lee Straton, and with me are some of my family's Pokemon! Today, we will do our best to convey the excitement that is this very close match! Let's hear a cheer for everyone involved! Yeahhh!"

"Welcome, добро пожаловать, 欢迎, bienvenidos, everyone! I am Ivetta, and I will do my best to follow the action and keep you all informed! I've never missed a detail in all of my travels, and I don't intend to start now. I'm sure it will be a wonderful match, and I am so glad to be here! Now, my co-host will introduce himself."
"Greetings, spectators. My name is Thrawn. I am the strategic analyst for this match."
"...that's it, Thrawn?"
"I will elaborate further when I have more information."

"With introductions out of the way, I will now introduce our battlers - all four of them! That's right, folks, in the ASBuddies tournament, we have teams facing off instead of individual players! I haven't seen this since the team tournament so long ago! Without further ado, here is haaaaaaaaaashtaaaaaaaaagaaaaaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooooooooopppppppppsgaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate, the duo of AOPSUser and Tortferngatr! Fans of dubious scandals, social media, usernames with far too many consonants, and problem solving, make some noise!"

"Scandal! Scandal! Scandal!" "Boggle, don't say that..." "Go #aopsgate! I've bet far too much bone jewelry for you to lose!" <victory go support hope yes yes win>

"Wow, quite the fanbase and quite the team! I sure am glad I'm floating up here in the announcer's booth instead of across the field from them. Especially that Aggron, he'd squash me like a bug!"
"Perhaps Aggron looks the fiercest, but Krillowatt and Tomohawk are truly the ones to watch out for. Their duality of both offensive prowess and incredible supportive moves makes them both terrors in a doubles match like this. Look for some interesting plays from Me First, Imprison, Sky Drop, or a well-placed Prankster Protect."
"Impressive as usual, Thrawn. Before you get too analytical, though, you'll have to see what they're up against. And their opponents are none other than the one and only Teaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacooooooooooooooooooon! Anybody who likes fatty fried meat, hipsters, superheroes, or Pokeballs, give it up for Tavok and Matezoide!

"BACON." "RAGEQUIT LIKE BACON." "Bacon! Do you know how many necklaces I can win from that bonehead Mandibuzz? Don't fail me now, or you will enjoy a pentagram-shaped scar across your face for the rest of your life." "Goo Matezoide! Thanks for all your support of my kind!"

About: One of tavok's first Pokémon, Gambo is the MvP of the team, being the one with the most training and experience. He has showed his worth against many opponents, winning most of the fights he's been at, even managing to KO two of the Battle Pike Queen's Pokémon in the team's first confrontation with her.
Gambo is quite courious, trying to understand everything that is around. He's also a quick learner, managing to perform many moves just after trying a couple times.
He doesn't talk much, but he has a deep thrust in both his trainer and his partners. If there is a tough fight coming, Gambo is the one to fall back on.

Your sprite isn't weird anymore.

Protean (Hidden Ability UNLOCKED, Toggle):

By default, this Pokemon switches their type before striking with each damaging attack to match the attack they are about to use, and keep that type until another damaging move is used. The energy cost for the attack is calculated based on their type before using the move. When toggled, the Pokemon reverts back to their natural typing. Pokemon that also have Color Change ability may select whether to keep their current type or the damaging attack's type each action.

"It's looking to be an incredible match so far, and it hasn't even started yet! Just look at those teams!"
"Commonly dubbed 'Skill Frog' , Matezoide's Greninja will be near impossible to order first against, while he still has the power to order first - Protean is difficult to fight against without a serious powerhouse. Of course, #aopsgate has their fair share of those. In addition, look out for Snorlax, it is liable to roll over entire teams if not checked. Now, for a more detailed match analysis, now that I have observed it carefully -"
"If you want the full analysis, put on your headset located under your seat and listen to Thrawn's dronin- ahem, explanations."
"I don't want to wait on this match anymore. Let's start!"

1. Tortferngatr and AOPSUser send out and equip.
2. Matezoide and tavok send out, equip, and order.
3. Tortferngatr and AOPSUser order.
4. I ref!

Hmm......

Tomohawk@Expert Belt

Tomo just seems like the best overall mon I have, idk. Ordering second will definitely be fun.

Banette @ Expert Belt

Shadow Ball (Sigilyph) -> Shadow Claw (Sigilyph) -> Shadow Ball (Sigilyph)

- IF Sigilyph is in the evasive stage of a damaging evasive move when you would move THEN Thunder (Sigilyph) and push actions back.
- IF Sigilyph is under the effects of a P/E move, THEN Phantom Force (Sigilyph) instead.
- IF Sigilyph has Double-Team clones up, THEN use Shock-Wave (Sigilyph) that action and push-back

KO Sub: If Sigilyph is knocked out, use Thunderbolt (Tomohawk)

Stalker the Kitsunoh @ Rare Candy

Knock Off (Sigilyph) - Shadow Strike (Sigilyph) - Shadow Strike (Sigilyph)

- IF Sigilyph is in the evasive stage of a damaging evasive move when you would move THEN redirect to Tomohawk.
- IF Sigilyph is under the effects of a P/E move, THEN Phantom Force (Sigilyph) instead.
- IF Taunt AND directed at you AND Magic Coat is not imprisoned AND you are not taunted THEN Magic Coat and push actions back.
- IF Sigilyph is KOed when you would move THEN redirect to Tomohawk.

I don't even know...

Tomohawk: Sky Drop (Banette) --- Sky Drop (Banette) --- Sky Drop (Banette)
IF Sky Drop is Disabled when you would act, THEN use Heat Wave.
IF Sky Drop AND Heat Wave are both Disabled when you would act, THEN use Hurricane (Banette).

Oh hahahaha we are soooooo fucked. This was literally the best I could think of. Do something I guess.

Oh and if you have a better idea PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me :P

Mirror Move (Kitsunoh, Knock Off), Air Cutter+Whirlwind, Cooldown (Whirlwind (Kitsunoh))
IF Whirlwind is disabled on turn 3, use Shadow Ball (Kitsunoh) turn 3.
IF by ref discretion Air Cutter+Whirlwind would be illegal, then on turn 2 Whirlwind (Kitsunoh) and on turn 3 use Whirlwind (Banette).

Surprised Banette isn't going Mega...we can discuss further later. For now I have to get some sleep.

One thing to note (if you manage to edit before Leethoof refs): Make a substitution for Cursed Body procs ASAP.

"And so we're off! Both teams have sent out their opening lineup, and it looks mighty impressive! Who will be singing a victory song today?"
"I firmly believe that -"
"I have no idea, Lee! But wow, would you look at those Pokemon down there? Its just absolutely incredible how close some of these trainers and Pokemon are, and how well-trained they are. You can tell just be glancing at them that those four down there are ready to fight."
"Now, if you'll let me speak, I will procede to explain the starting Pokemon of each team. Pound-aopsgate has begun with Tomohawk and Sigilyph. They seem to be focusing on trickery rather than pure offense with this opening, as flying-types in general, and especially these two, are excellent at evading attacks and abusing the enemy's actions. Meanwhile, Team Bacon has opted to go for strong ghost-type offense, looking to snag an early KO on Sigilyph."
"Some of the faster Pokemon are beginning to fight - let's see what's happening! Despite all their differences, Kitsunoh and Sigilyph seem to agree on two things, they don't want any items, and they also don't like dark-type attacks. And then - wow! - Tomohawk lifts Banette up effortlessly into the sky."
"As I stated earlier in the match, Sky Drop is a devestating move is used correctly. That's what Tomohawk is doing here now, picking up Banette to simultaneously save his ally and damage the ghost."
"So clever! The quality of play in tournament matches never ceases to amaze me!"
"Unfortunately for #aopsgate, it looks like something spooky is going on with Tomohawk. I doubt he'll be using Sky Drop for a while."

"Even if Tomohawk was a little creeped out by Banette (and let's be honest, who isn't?), he's still going all out with a Heat Wave! The two ghosts are also continuing to attack their opponen

I think it was agreed that all moves from a Pokémon under the effect of Sky Drop are redirected to the Sky Drop user? Not really sure, and I can´t look for precedent and what not right now.

Also, best case scenario with that phazing and cursed body :D.

I think you forgot to roll for Heat Wave hit on Kit? Or am i being reaaaaally dumb?

Rare Candy for Greninja with Protean on. Flavor when i am not on the phone.

And last, but not least, wheres the rest of the flavor :<

(Thank you RNGesus)

Lucario @ Lucarionite because yeah.
[Mega Evolve] just so we don't get screwed in case I forget while ordering.

Meh. If AOPS doesn't post, I'm willing to forfeit so that I don't have to worry about this anymore.

Go Krilowatt @ Rare Candy
Krill: Earthquake--Bulldoze--Earthquake

I was waiting to see what you'd send out :(

Tomohawk: Aura Sphere (Lucario) --- Heat Wave --- Aura Sphere (Lucario)
IF Lucario is under the effects of a Protective/Evasive move when you would act, THEN use Hurricane (Greninja).
IF Lucario is in the semi-invulnerable state of a damaging evasive move when you would act, THEN use Hurricane (Greninja).
IF one of the above subs activates, AND Greninja is also in the semi-invulnerable state of a damaging evasive move when you would act, THEN use Fly (Lucario).

Subbing in till Leethoof picks this up... Please VM me if I have missed something out.
Also Mate, you don't have to toggle Protean ON, unless you want Greninja to be Water/Dark again.

Round 2: You don't use a Krill with no sub, No! No! No!:

Team Bacon were forced into a Match Up, But it only resulted in their two stalwarts entering the battle. And as Tortferngatr sent in his mon for a KO'd Sigilyph, Team Bacon were ready to pull the plug on AOPSUser's mon this round.

Tortferngatr seems disinterested in the proceedings and asked his Krill to do what ever she wants to do. Krill seeing that Red Hawk could protect himself, decided to spam ground moves till her master shakes himself up from his trance. Team Bacon utilized the opportunity to nab a crucial perfectly calculated KO on Red Hawk. That has given them an undeniable advantage in this battle. With one of each of their pokemon KO'd and having half their side unable to battle, how and will #aopsgate find some counter play?

However, now that they would be ordering second... atleast we wont see a KO from their side? Or may be not...
