Checks & Counters
########

**Priority**: Priority attacks such as Mach Punch from Conkeldurr and Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor can OHKO Weavile before it has the chance to attack. Breloom can also check Weavile however it takes 80% damage for Ice Shard so it needs to stay healthy.
**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Suicune, Mega Swampert, Rotom-W, Alomomola resist Icicle Crash and can cripple Weavile with a burn from Scald or Will-O-Wisp, making it wear down a bit after each turn.
**Azumarill**: Azumarill can come in against any of Weavile's attacks if it isn't running Poison Jab and use the opportunity to deal out a hard hit on the Pokemon switching in or get up a free Belly Drum. Weavile needs to be cautious when Azumarill is on the opposing side, making double switches when necessary.
**Keldeo**: Keldeo resists both of Weavile's STAB attacks and threatens it out with Fighting-type STAB. On the turn that Weavile switches out, Keldeo can set up a Calm Mind or get damage of on the incoming Pokemon.
**Bulky Steel-types**: Pokemon such as Skarmory and Mega Scizor can gain HP back from Roost after switching in. Skarmory can use the chance to set up hazards or predict the switch thereby double switching into another Pokemon whereas Scizor can use the chance to Swords Dance.
**Stealth Rocks**: Weavile is a revenge killer meaning it is constantly going to keep switching out and in. If Stealth Rock is out, this can weaken Weavile each time it switches in due to its weakness to Rock-type attacks and eventually lead to Weavile being taken out from switching in.
**Choice Scarf users**: Choice Scarf users can check Weavile such as Terrakion can take a Ice Shard with ease and outspeed Weavile, leading it to get OHKOed by their Fighting-type STAB. When bringing Terrakion in against Weavile, it has the chance of its Choice Scarf getting removed by Knock Off and proceeding to get OHKOed by Low Kick
**Status**: Status can cripple Weavile's role as a revenge killer due to burn lowering its Attack making its moves lower in damage, paralysis lowers Weavile's Speed and prevents it from outspeeding Pokemon and poison wears down Weavile after each turn, limiting the amount of times it can attack with Life Orb damage too.

Overview
########

Weavile is a great revenge killer in OU due to its good Speed and Attack, further supplemented by the now legal combination of Knock Off and Icicle Crash. This allows Weavile to remove the opposing Pokemon's item while also having an Ice-type STAB far stronger than Ice Punch. Weavile also has access to priority Ice Shard, allowing it to finish off fast and frail offensive enemies. However, Weavile is very frail and is weak to Stealth Rock. Priority moves such as Mach Punch and Bullet Punch hit Weavile hard, especially given its 4x weakness to Fighting-type attacks.

Life Orb
########
name: Life Orb
move 1: Icicle Crash
move 2: Knock Off
move 3: Ice Shard
move 4: Low Kick / Pursuit / Poison Jab
ability: Pressure
item: Life Orb
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Jolly

Moves
========

Icicle Crash is now compatible with Knock Off and is Weavile's hardest hitting Ice-type STAB move; however, it only has 90% accuracy. Knock Off hits most Pokemon hard due to its heightened power if the opponent is holding an item. Ice Shard is priority for finishing off foes and helps with revenge killing frail and fast offensive Pokemon. Low Kick is to hit Rock-, Steel-, and Dark-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Ferrothorn for super effective damage. Pursuit can finish Pokemon by preventing them from switching out before taking damage; it helps especially against Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon such as Latios, Celebi, and Mew. Poison Jab can be used to hit Fairy-type Pokemon, especially Azumarill, which doesn't mind taking a Knock Off, Low Kick, or Icicle Crash. Swords Dance raises Weavile's Attack by two stages and can be used when predicting switches so it Weavile can be used as a late-game sweeper.

Set Details
========

Life Orb makes Weavile's attacks deal more damage at the cost of some health. The EV spread gives Weavile the most power and Speed needed for hitting hard and quick, a dire prerequisite due to its frailty. A Jolly nature lets Weavile outspeed other fast Pokemon such as Greninja, Starmie, Latios, and Gengar.

Usage Tips
========

Weavile is a hit-and-run Pokemon unless using Swords Dance, making it an effective revenge killer. The objective is to come in after a foe has fainted and either finish them or hit a Pokemon switching in hard before switching out. Knock Off hits most Pokemon hard and removes their item. Weavile is good at checking frail and fast Pokemon with its great Speed and Attack, and its Ice typing is good for checking multiple threats in the tier such as Garchomp, Dragonite, Mega Latios, and Mega Latias. However, Weavile shouldn't be staying in against Pokemon that threaten it; switch out and preserve it for later in the battle.

Team Options
========

Rapid Spin users such as Starmie and Tentacruel help to effectively remove entry hazards, notably Stealth Rock, which Weavile is weak to. This helps Weavile safely switch in and out, supporting its role as a revenge killer. Defog users such as Latios, Zapdos, Gliscor, and Scizor can remove entry hazards without getting blocked; however, Weavile appreciates hazards on the opposing side, which is why teammates such as Garchomp, Terrakion, and Landorus are helpful for getting up Stealth Rock. Klefki gets a special mention because of Prankster, Spikes, and Thunder Wave that allow it to stack hazards and cripple fast enemies. Allies that appreciate Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon being removed such as Terrakion, Celebi, Latios, Latias, Scolipede, and Mega Venusaur are good partners for Weavile. Keldeo and Mega Charizard also appreciate Latios being removed, which Weavile can KO.

Other Options
########

Choice Band can be used to deal more damage at the cost of locking Weavile into one move. Iron Tail deals more damage than Poison Jab against most Fairy-type Pokemon; unfortunately, it has poor accuracy and doesn't hit Azumarill super effectively, so it's generally not worth it. Ice Punch has more accuracy than Icicle Crash if Weavile doesn't want to risk the chance of missing at the cost of less power. However, this misses out on 2HKOing Chesnaught and other threats in the tier.

Checks & Counters
########

**Priority**: Priority attacks such as Mach Punch from Conkeldurr and Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor can OHKO Weavile before it has the chance to attack. Breloom can also check Weavile in an emergency; however, it takes 80% damage from Ice Shard.
**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Suicune, Rotom-W, and Alomomola resist Icicle Crash and can cripple Weavile with a burn from Scald or Will-O-Wisp, wearing it down a bit each turn.

Weavile needs to be cautious when Azumarill is on the opposing side, making double switches when necessary.
**Keldeo**: Keldeo resists both of Weavile's STAB attacks and threatens Weavile out with its Fighting-type STAB moves. On the turn that Weavile switches out, Keldeo can set up a Calm Mind or damage the incoming Pokemon.
**Bulky Steel-types**: Pokemon such as Skarmory and Mega Scizor can regain HP from Roost after switching in. Skarmory can use the chance to set up entry hazards or predict the switch, double switching into another Pokemon while Scizor can use the chance to Swords Dance.
**Stealth Rock**: Weavile is a revenge killer, meaning it is going to constantly switch in and out. If Stealth Rock is up, Weavile takes a ton of damage each time it switches in due to its Rock-type weakness.
**Choice Scarf Users**: Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion can check Weavile by taking an Ice Shard and otherwise outspeeding Weavile, and OHKOing it. When bringing Terrakion in against Weavile, it has the chance of its Choice Scarf getting removed by Knock Off and proceeding to get OHKOed by Low Kick
**Status**: Status can cripple Weavile's role as a revenge killer due to burn lowering its Attack, paralysis lowering Weavile's Speed, preventing it from outspeeding key threats, and poison wearing down Weavile after each turn, limiting the amount of times it can attack on top of Life Orb damage.

I do not think Tentacruel is the best teammate for Weavile. While it is able to handle Keldeo and Greninja for it, Weavile is better suited for more offensive teams (especially hyper offense) because of how fragile it is - more balanced teams would prefer to use a different Pursuit trapper that is not as fragile, such as Bisharp or Tyranitar. On a similar token, more offensive teammates in place of Skarmory, Mew, Defog Scizor, and Ferrothorn should be mentioned in their stead. Teammates like Terrakion, Garchomp, and Clefable are better Stealth Rock setters because they are more suited for fitting on offensive teams.

I'd probably slash Pursuit before Poison Jab because of its consistency in Pursuit Trapping various Psychic types and Gengar while Poison Jab is more for a lure against Fairy Types and in practice has less consistency against the meta itself. I would also elaborate a bit more on the team options a couple more partners than just Terrakion. Celebi, the Latis, M-Venusaur, Scolipede are just a few examples. I don't think there's a huge need to mention Salamence as a check cause by default you can mention Dragonite and this covers that and gives the idea to users that it checks Dragon types consistently. That's more nitpick than anything considering normal Salamence doesn't have much usage as compared to Dragonite. I'd go ahead and mention Klefki as a hazard setter also considering how Weavile highly appreciates hazard stacking support to clean up and revenge kill much more easily while having the luxury of Prankster Thunder Wave to further enhance this trait.

When you are mentioning Poison Jab, make a special mention of Azumarill as it resists both of Weavile's STABs.

  • mention Keldeo, Mega Scizor, and Skamory in C&C
  • i'd mention Swords Dance in Moves rather than OO, as it makes Weavile a great late game sweeper
  • mention CharY and Keldeo (you already have it there but mention this reason, too) in Team Options, as they love having Lati@s removed

o_o ????
Poison Jab can be used to hit Fairies such as Azumarill which don't mind taking Weavile's other attacks at the cost of not being able to hurt the Pokemon above
I think I understand what you mean for example Clefable doesn't resist Icicle Crash so thanks :) I'll remember to include that in the write-up!

I think you should mention burns and paralysis in C&C, as this really cripples Weavile.
Done and included poison too.

  • Keldeo and Scizor were already mentioned in Choice Scarf users/Priority but if you want me to expand to give them their own section, tell me :o - Gave Skarmory a mention.
  • Moved Swords Dance to Moves but didn't slash it
  • Added the Charizard-Y and Keldeo love Latios being removed

You should mention Keldeo like you do with Azumarill, as it resists both STABs (avoiding any 2HKO) and can OHKO in return. Bulky Mega Scizor uses Weavile for setup fodder, becuase of its raw bulk. Metion it alongside Skarmory, mabye under the name **Bulky Steel-types**.

I'd mention ice punch as a non-missing alternative albeit weak. In C & C i'd just mention bulky waters in general like suicune and then add azumarill and keldeo? Who i guess is a bulky water lmao 2/3

Weavile is a great revenge killer in OU due to its good Speed and Attack, only getting better with further supplemented by the now legal combination of Knock Off and Icicle Crash being legal together this generation. This means that This allows Weavile to will be able to utilize both removing remove the item of opposing Pokemon's item and dishing out hard hits with Knock Off while at the same time also having an power Ice-type STAB far stronger than Ice Punch which was previously Ice Punch. Weavile also has access to priority Ice Shard,(AC) allowing it to finish off fast and frail offensive Pokemon enemies. However, Weavile is very frail because of its defenses and has a weakness to Stealth Rock due to its Ice typing. It is 4x weak to Fighting-type attacks; furthermore, and priority moves such as Mach Punch and Bullet Punch hurt hit Weavile hard.

Low Kick is to hit Rock-, Fighting-, Steel-,(AC) and Dark-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Ferrothorn for super effective damage. Pursuit can finish Pokemon by trapping them, stopping preventing them from switching out before taking damage and being able to used later on; it helps especially against Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon such as Latios, Celebi, and Mew. Weavile is a hit-and-(hyphens)run Pokemon unless using Swords Dance,(AC) making it an effective revenge killer;. The objective is to come in after a Pokemon foe has fainted and either finish them or hit a Pokemon switching in hard before switching out. Knock Off hits most Pokemon hard and removes their item so its effective to click that most of the time unless a predictable switch is coming in. (I personally think the word choice of "click that most of the time" is a little odd, and that this little bit is extraneous anyway so it might be safe to remove it!) Weavile is good at checking frail and fast Pokemon with its good great Speed and Attack, (you said "checking" so you must mean offensively, right?) and its Ice typing is good for checking multiple threats in the tier such as Garchomp, Dragonite, Mega Latios, and Mega Latias. However, Weavile shouldn't be staying in against Pokemon which that threaten it; switch it out and preserve it for later in the battle is the best option most of the time.

Team Options
========
Rapid Spin users such as Starmie and Tentacruel help to effectively in getting rid of remove entry hazards, notably especially Stealth Rock,(AC) which Weavile is weak to. This helps Weavile as a revenge killer so it can keep safely switching out and back in in and out, supporting its role as a revenge killer. Defog users such as Latios, Zapdos, Gliscor, and Scizor are also good such as Latios, Zapdos, Gliscor, and Scizor can remove entry hazards without getting blocked; however,(AC) Weavile appreciates hazards on the opposing side,(AC) which is why teammates such as Garchomp, Terrakion, and Landorus make effective offensive partners for getting up Stealth Rock. Klefki gets a special mention because of its ability, Prankster, Spikes, and Thunder Wave that allowing it to stack hazards and cripple fast enemies Pokemon. Pokemon which Allies that appreciate Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon being removed such as Terrakion, Celebi, Latios, Latias, Scolipede, and Mega Venusaur appreciate are good partners for Weavile on the team. Keldeo and Mega Charizard also appreciate Latios being removed,(AC) which Weavile can check due to its Speed since it outpaces Latios.

Other Options
########
Choice Band can be used to deal more damage with the risk at the cost of locking Weavile into one move. Iron Tail deals more damage than Poison Jab for hitting against most Fairy-type Pokemon; however unfortunately, it has poor accuracy and doesn't hit Azumarill super effectively,(AC) so it's generally not worth it. I marked a fair few subjective changes here. Not all of them are tagged with green text, but some of them are. If you see something you disagree with that you know for certain is not a grammatical correction that you think incorrectly conveys the information, please use your judgement as far as implementing. For the most part, I'm confident that all of what I marked will help with readability, but nobody's perfect.

**Keldeo**: Keldeo resists both of Weavile's STAB attacks and threatens it out with its Fighting-type STAB moves. On the turn that Weavile switches out, Keldeo can set up a Calm Mind or damage the incoming Pokemon.

**Bulky Steel-types**: Pokemon such as Skarmory and Mega Scizor can regain HP from Roost after switching in. Skarmory can use the chance to set up hazards or predict the switch, dmoublve switching into azanother Pokemonds, while Scizor can use the chance to Swords Dance, Defog, or U-turn.

**Stealth Rocks**: Weavile is a revenge killer, meaning it is going to constantly switch in and out. If Stealth Rock is up, Weavile takes a ton of damage each time it switches in due to its Rock-type weakness.

**Choice Scarf users**: Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion can check Weavile by taking an Ice Shard with ease, and outspeeding Weavile, and OHKOing it with its super effective Fighting- or Rock-type STAB moves. When bringing Tesuch scarferakions in against Weavile, it has they chmancey lofse itsheir Choice Scarf getting removed by Knock Off and procthen be OHKOed; Terrakiong, tfor example, can gbet OHKOtaken down by Low Kick.

**Status**: Status can cripple Weavile's role as a revenge killer due to; burn lowerings its Attack, while paralysis lowerings Weavile's Speed, preventing it from outspeeding or KOing key threats, andwhile poison wearings down Weavile after each turn, limiting the amount of times it can attack on top of Life Orb damage.

Comments:

Is icicle crash really *far* stronger than ice punch? It's 10 bp or 13% stronger, idk.

Low kick doesn't hit fighters SE. If you want to mention keld neutrality, do so, that said stab icicle crash is stronger than neutral max power low kick so don't just say fighters.

Not sure if mega latios is the relevant threat to mention, ppl use normal latios mostly

Megapert doesn't resist icicle crash. Also, scald can just kill weavile, also those bulky waters are dark neutral-relevant since otherwise slowbro would count-.

Various checks and counters shit. Whatevs.

Implemented some tehy. Thanks for the check although it's really hard to implement some stuff because of...

Just one random letter or multiple in the middle of a word is confusing and hard to spot/read when combining them together. lol.

Overview

Furthermore, Priority moves such as Mach Punch and Bullet Punch hit Weavile hard, especially given its 4x weakness to Fighting-type attacks.

Life Orb
########
name: Life Orb
move 1: Icicle Crash
move 2: Knock Off
move 3: Ice Shard
move 4: Low Kick / Pursuit / Poison Jab
ability: Pressure
item: Life Orb
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Jolly

Moves
========

Low Kick is to hit Rock-, Fighting-, Steel-, and Dark-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Ferrothorn for super effective damage.

Set Details
========

Life Orb makes Weavile's attacks deal more damage at the cost of some health. The EV spread gives Weavile the most power and Speed needed for hitting Pokemon hard and quickly, a dire prerequisite due to its frailty. A Jolly nature lets Weavile outspeed other fast Pokemon such as Greninja, Starmie, Latios, and Gengar.

Usage Tips
========

========

Rapid Spin users such as Starmie and Tentacruel help to effectively remove entry hazards, notably Stealth Rock, which Weavile is weak to. This helps Weavile safely switch in and out, supporting its role as a revenge killer. Defog users such as Latios, Zapdos, Gliscor, and Scizor can remove entry hazards without getting blocked; however, Weavile appreciates hazards on the opposing side, which is why teammates such as Garchomp, Terrakion, and Landorus make effective offensive partners are helpful for getting up Stealth Rock. Klefki gets a special mention because of its ability, Prankster, Spikes, and Thunder Wave that allow it to stack hazards and cripple fast enemies. Allies that appreciate Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon being removed such as Terrakion, Celebi, Latios, Latias, Scolipede, and Mega Venusaur are good partners for Weavile. Keldeo and Mega Charizard also appreciate Latios being removed, which Weavile can KO check since it outpaces Latios.

However, this misses out on the KO on X.

Checks & Counters
########

**Priority**: Priority attacks such as Mach Punch from Conkeldurr and Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor can OHKO Weavile before it has the chance to attack. Breloom can also check Weavile in an emergency; however, it takes 80% damage from Ice Shard so it needs to stay healthy.
space here
**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Suicune, Mega Swampert, Rotom-W, and Alomomola resist Icicle Crash and can cripple Weavile with a burn from Scald or Will-O-Wisp, wearing it down a bit each turn.
**Azumarill**: Azumarill can come in against any of Weavile's attacks, if it isn't running Poison Jab, and use the opportunity to deal out a hard hit on the Pokemon switching in or get up a free Belly Drum. Weavile needs to be cautious when Azumarill is on the opposing side, making double switches when necessary.
**Keldeo**: Keldeo resists both of Weavile's STAB attacks and threatens it Weavile out with its Fighting-type STAB moves.
**Stealth Rocks**: Weavile is a revenge killer, meaning it is going to constantly switch in and out. If Stealth Rock is up, Weavile takes a ton of damage each time it switches in due to its Rock-type weakness.
**Choice Scarf Users**: Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion can check Weavile by taking an Ice Shard with ease, (RC) and otherwise outspeeding Weavile, and OHKOing it with its super effective Fighting- or Rock-type STAB moves.

'Weavilecan'

Swords Dance raises Weavile's Attack by two stages and can be used when predicting switches so it Weavilecan be used as a late-game sweeper.

Plus low kick not se on fighters, megapert doesnt resist icicle crash

Pretty sure you need spaces between each check/counter.

Also, not sure if it matters, but:
**Stealth Rock**: Weavile is a revenge killer, meaning it is going to constantly switch in and out. If Stealth Rock is up, Weavile takes a ton of damage each time it switches in due to its Rock-type weakness.
Just remove the 's' from 'Rocks' :p
