not really, i think the next youngest person in my class of ~20 was 19. everyone else was late 20s, early 30s, and even a 40+ dude.

don't care about ag, ubers being a tier is nice, didn't get to experience mray myself but i watched some friends play and it looked kind of ridiculous so i'll take everyone's word for it that it's best off elsewhere

3. What types of movies do you like and hate? Top 5 Hollywood movies?(i may follow up on this depending on the answer)

i'm like the worst guy to ask about movies, i'm as incapable of critically watching one as i am a judge of nose size. that said, if it's funny i'll like it. i watched rush hour 3 on the flight back to the states and i liked it, i also watched dawn of the planet of the apes and thought it was stupid as fuck. my favorite movies are mrs. doubtfire, the mask, the incredibles, and scarface.

4. Johnny Depp vs. Robert Downey Jr.?

god no. randbats are fun and all but i don't think they're exactly the pinnacle of competition.

Hey BKC, I just wanted to say thanks for your tutelage a few years back. You were the best player I knew then & really helped me improve as a battler, and it's been cool to see you move up through the years on Smogon even though we don't speak as much. I prob wouldn't even be here if we hadn't met through Advent. Hope you're doing well dude.

well i wasn't around when adv was the main meta so i'm really not the best person to ask, although i learned a ton from gene/G80 and used his teams cause they were awesome, and he was one of the best from the old adv, so if i had to pick one guy i'd pick him, although there are a ton of other guys like goofball / loki / husk. in terms of modern adv, which is 2011 (smogon tour 11) onwards, the players i respect most are cbb / danilo / enz0 / halloween / m dragon / malfoy / ojama / rey, but i've gotta say that my buddy mcmeghan is probably the best in terms of ability, consistency and innovation.

2. Which inactive user do you hope he'll come back to Smogon?

read about them, watch them being played, practice. the difference between this and a more current metagame is that things are a lot more settled which gives you time to get comfortable.

i think it was the 2nd b4c, iirc it was really late 2010 or really early 2011 when i played killer nacho. i used sr metagross / bold leech celebi / toxic vaporeon / stallbreak gliscor / sdef tran / scarftar and won in a very good game. i don't remember much except my meta got flinched by a waterfall which denied me sr and that he had a gyarados, breloom and lucario. that vid got a fuckload of views and had people in the comments saying "whoa this guy's really good" which was awesome.

i really can't name one best irc moment out the 2 and a half years i've been on it regularly. probably something from the east chan in wcop 2013. that reminds me of when i was preparing for cbb in tour a few months later and i mentioned mienshao and badass quipped "bitch i'm in the cat, mienshao" which had us all rolling

this one's almost as hard except this one time stands out. some kid with manectric in his name was talking mad shit so me roscoe and cheese joined a call he and some other people were in and started arguing and eventually those other people left the call and we just stayed there LOL

Yo BKC! Only really came in here to say what's up. I've seen you around these forums a lot through the years (although I don't contribute much) and always wondered something, and finally got my answer by reading the OP.

I doubt you have much memory of it, but we used to battle pretty frequently in the DPP days on the GameFAQs forums, both under the same names. I'm pretty sure that every single tournament on those boards ended with me and you in the finals, usually with me kicking your ass. ;)

Like I said, I was just always curious as to whether your were the same BKC I used to see on GFQs, and now I have my answer. Congrats on all your shit man, its kinda cool to see a battler I used to destroy fight back in the day having such an impact around here.

best tournament game you've played?

this is really hard. the tour 16 final match is the most obvious and probably the right answer, not just because of the stakes but because of how unbelievably tight it was. i think the battle that most gives it a run for its money is my wcop 2013 semis match vs. lohgock.

some other contenders:

my spl 4 battle vs. twash (first 3 turns) was a super close back-and-forth thriller involving england's most dangerous cultural export, britscor.

while unfortunately i don't have the log anymore (there's gotta be someone who does though), my infamous spl 3 semis battle vs. mcmeghan was the big-time debut of my stall team; although most people know it as having landorus-t or hippowdon, in bw1 i started off with gliscor and used it the most although i switched it with hippo sometimes. anyway mcm brought cbtar / scarf rotom-w / sd u-turn scizor / sr spikes t-wave ferro / taunt toxic ice fang gliscor / sd haxorus and it was a very good battle. if anyone wants the dramatic backstory to this battle feel free to ask!

my superstars 4 playoff tiebreaker battle vs. ojama (played on my mom's laptop so i don't have the log, he might have it - i remember a lot of people watched, if you were there and have it please post!) was amazing, two weatherless offense teams going at it and i lost in a super tight battle. i honestly forget how it ended, i just remember that he had a lead terrakion, a specs keldeo whose hydro pump i switched my lo latias into, and... that's it, but i remember it being a ton of fun, especially for a bw game.

a few months prior, he and i played for home field advantage which was a dpp game and it was also really tight. oj and i always had good battles!

my battle vs. mostwanted for the multi-tier team tour was a really long, really close one. unfortunately i don't think i have the log anymore, but i do remember the teams: i had sdef sr heatran / skarmory / bulky starmie / sdef uturn celebi / scarf tyranitar / ebelt smack down landorus while he had bulky toed / hone claws dugtrio / ferrothorn / ice punch sdef rachi / tentacruel / bulky hurricane dragonite.

my tour 14 playoffs round 2 adv battle vs. heist was incredible, a really great back-and-forth that ended as close as you can possibly get.

speaking of ridiculously close endings, my tour 16 playoffs semis dpp battle vs. cbb was just as good.
