I may have overdone the rules... said:
Bring 4, Pick 3 Singles. You PM 4 pokemons to the ref, but the battle will be 3vs3 singles. You will choose your mons as the battle develop.
ASB Arena
Strict 3-day Disqualification.
You will get a single warning per round. After that, you go over DQ and you're done. Referees please tag the combatants when you have finished your reffing. Players, if you know you're going to be away you better post a Leave of Absence BEFORE you leave, or give a very good reason in case of an emergency.
Strict 4-day Disqualification for Refs. Same rules as above (one warning and then BAM). Also, you can be sure as hell that I will jump in to subref anyone if necessary. Also I reserve the right to DQ a ref under LoA if the respective match is taking way too long.
3 Substitutions.
Turn Order: Coin Flip
2 Recovery/5 Chills per pokemon
All Abilities
All Items
Switch=OK
Mega Clause: 1
ORAS stuff: Allowed
PHAZING RULE: If a pokemon is sent back to the pokeball by a phazing move, the trainer (of the pokemon sent back obv.) chooses who will be the replacement
I-HATE-CENTRALIZATION RULE: The three species most used per round from r2 onwards are Banned for the remainder of the tourney. In case of a tie, the species brought the most is banned. If the tie persists then none of the species are banned (and you can't just ban both and be in the 3-mons-banned limit).
For the record, the species banned until now are: Gardevoir, Dragonite, Pyroak, Mr. Mime, Kitsunoh and Snorlax.

Niki was won by SubwayJ after he defeated all of his opponents in the Best of the Rest tournament. When she joined the team, SubwayJ quickly noticed her power, and her value to the rest of the group. With her great power comes a burden however, in the form of a second personality. Sweet and kind Niki can become ruthless and savage Jessica on the drop of a dime. The least predictable of the group.

Maybe it wasn't the best idea to bring such a Naive Gallade to battle but we can handle such a tiny little shrimp without issue.

Round 1!

A bit too many crits, but thankfully they don't really matter haha. I think.

Anyway, a very good start for Maxim. Not only Formula dented Timmy considerably, it now has the opportunity to switch to a better match-up. Until you realize that none of Maxim's pokemon completely counters Gallade, which means that we may see what happened here inverted for the next round.

DATA:

ACTION 1!

Krillowatt dove underwater!

Krillowatt used Dive! (-9en)
Crit: 1 (yes)
Damage: (8+3+3+3-1.5)= 15.5hp

Gallade used Trick Room! (-9en)

ACTION 2!

Gallade used Earthquake! (-7en)
Damage: (10+3+2)*1.5= 22.5hp

Krillowatt used Volt Switch! (-4en)
Crit: 5 (no)
Damage: 7+3+3= 13hp

ACTION 3!

Gallade used Bulldoze! (-4en)
Damage: (6+3+2)*1.5= 16.5hp

Krillowatt used Hydro Pump! (-7en)

Round 2!

One would think that Gallade's Pain Split was enough to overturn that first round.

Well it wasn't. Or not entirely. Considering that Trick Room is up, and Gallade is, arguably, the most dangerous of all Gerard's mons, Maxim still has the advantage somewhat. Not a considerable one though.

A lot of water will pass under the bridge still, so I suppose its too early to say anything.

DATA:

ACTION 1!

Steelix used Heavy Slam! (-10.67en)
Crit: 5 (no)
Damage: (6*2+4)+3+4.5= 23.5hp

Gallade used Taunt! (-10en)

ACTION 2!

Steelix used Struggle! (-5en)
Crit: 8 (no)
Damage: (5+4.5)= 9.5hp
-3.8hp
NOTE: tbh I would consider this an illegal sub and EQ would be used. But it seems that the majority goes with struggle usually, so I went with that, I suppose.

Gallade used Pain Split! (-44.97en)
+25hp

Steelix lost 25hp due to pain split.

ACTION 3!

Steelix used Earthquake! (-6en)
Crit: 13 (no)
Damage: (10+3+4.5)=17.5hp

Gallade used Low Kick! (-8en)
Crit: 8 (no)
Damage: (16+3+2-1-5.5)*1.5= 21.75hp

Sorry Gallade, it seems that those crits really did matter in the long run, otherwise we wouldn't as pressed down here though don't worry, we're still gonna win this.

Well, I always did believe in going out with a bang!

"Oh don't use a combo, it'll never work."

Relax, I have it all planned out. There's no way he could possibly survive.

"That's what you think buster."

Big Bang (Selfdestruct + Explosion combo)~Big Bang~Big Bang
If your opponent uses Substitute, then use Explosion that action
If your opponent uses a Damaging Evasive move, then use Explosion that action
If your opponent uses a successful P/E move, then Chill and push actions back.

"Told ya so...*thud*"

"Ah come on! Eruption had exactly enough power to kill Steelix? How does this crap happen to me? Never mind, go Formula!"

Your move!

Time to test this camel in wet terrain!
Good for us we didn't get Traced, that would have been hard

Bakuuda: [Activate Sheer Force] Earth Power ~ Mud Bomb ~ Earth Power
*If Formula uses Mirror Coat then use Magnitude, the first time, Dig, the second, and Magnitude, again the third.
*If your attack is under the effect of Imprison then use Mud Bomb, the first time, Magnitude, the second, and Mud Bomb, again the third.
*If Formula is in the semi-invulnerable phase of Dive when you target him them use Dig and push actions

"Well...this is officially bad. Still, I see one possible avenue out of this situation, albeit it's a risky gambit. Formula, do your thing!"

Tsunami (Surf + Surf combo)~Cooldown (Surf)~Water Laser (Hyper Beam + Hydro Pump combo)

Notice: If either of these combos are illegal, please allow me to reorder. Thank you.

Round 5!

What is the best way to counter the ridiculous combination of Magma Armor + Solid Rock? Answer: High BAP combos!

Maxim uses that lesson at full force and manages to KO the Camerupt, leaving his Krilowatt with just 1hp! Wow now that was close.

...except that this is 3vs3 and there is a pokemon left. The battle isn't over and given that krilowatt will need to cool down and recover from the sluggishness (or whatever it is called), Gerard has enough time to set up and get prepared to face the pokemon Maxim will send to counter his pick. Which is particularly bad for Maxim, as he has no pokemon that truly counter Gerard's...

Still...Maxim IS in the lead and won't be counterpicked in the next matchup. Momentum is still in his favor.

tl;dr: this still is very very far from decided.
DATA:

ACTION 1!

Camerupt used Earth Power! (-6en)
Crit: Shell Armor
Damage: (9+3+2+5.5)*1.5= 29.25hp

Krilowatt used Surf + Surf! (-30.5en)
Crit: 13 (no)
Damage: (9*2.25+3+3-1.5-2-1)*2.25= 48.973hp

ACTION 2!

Camerupt used Mud Bomb! (-4en)
Hit: 62 (yes)
Damage: (7+3+2+5.5)*1.5= 26.25hp

Krillowatt was cooling down!

ACTION 3!

Camerupt used Earth Power! (-6en)
Damage: 29.25hp

hey look 1hp left

Krilowatt used Hyper Beam + Hydro Pump! (-26en)
NOTE: TBH I don't really like this combo, but it has been accepted from hell and back and I am usually loose on Hyper Beam/Giga Impact combos, so go this.
Crit: 10 (no)
Damage: (15+11+3+3-1.5)*2.25= 68.25hp

Camerupt fainted!
