move 3: Rest
move 4: Sleep Talk
ability: Clear Body
item: Eviolite
evs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 24 SpD / 76 Spe
nature: Impish

Moves
========
  • Shift Gear is to get those stat boosts to potentially sweep or clean-up late game
  • Gear Grind is Steel STAB and hits twice to break Substitute, Focus Sash and Sturdy
  • Rest is to get health back after setting up
  • Sleep Talk is to hit Pokemon or set up more while Klang is asleep from Rest.
Set Details
========
  • Defense EVs and nature allow Klang to survive two Earthquakes from Life Orb Tauros after Stealth Rock
  • Special Defense EVs avoid 2HKO from Specs Raichu after Rocks
  • Speed EVs outspeed Chatot after one Shift Gear
  • Clear Body is to avoid stats being lowered
  • Eviolite is the make Klang generally more bulky to take more hits when setting up
Usage Tips
========
  • Bring Klang in on opposing Pokemon which will be forced to switch out such as Roselia, Dodrio and Gourgeist
  • Make sure that Pokemon which have no problem taking Gear Grind such as Pelipper and Swanna are removed from the opponents team before setting up
  • Make sure to use Rest + Sleep Talk once Klang is low on health or received status; don't start spamming Gear Grind if Klang is burned for example.
  • Shift Gear is to boost how much damage Klang is doing so try to setup as soon as possible so it can be effective in hitting hard when asleep.
  • Klang wants to get up a turn of Shift Gear before using Rest so you outspeed when going for Sleep Talk the next turn
Team Options
========
  • Bulky Fairy types such as Togetic which resist Fighting-type moves heading for Klang
  • Grass types such as Serperior and Roselia which can take down bulky Water type Pokemon which resist Klang such as Poliwrath
  • Entry hazard support from Garbodor and Roselia so that foes are within the range of 2HKO or OHKO once getting up some boosts.
  • Toxic Spike can poison Pokemon allowing their health to wear down when they stay in to the point where Klang can clean-up
  • Ground-types such as Golem and Piloswine which have an immunity to Electric-type moves as Electric-type Pokemon resist Gear Grind
  • Mantine has an excellent synergy with Klang as it can take Fire, Fighting and is immune to Ground whereas Klang can take Rock and Electric
  • Misdreavus and Haunter also has a good synergy with Klang because of their immunity to Ground- and Fighting-type attacks.
Other Options

  • Wild Charge
  • Substitute
Checks & Counters
########

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-type Pokemon such as Poliwrath and Throh can take hits from Gear Grind and either force Klang out with the incoming Circle Throw making the boosts it set up useless. Poliwrath can go up against Gear Grind due to its natural bulk and resisting Gear Grind; it can then set up a Substitute and Focus Punch causing Klang to take heavy damage.

**Ground-types**: Ground-type Pokemon such as Golem and Piloswine check Klang; even though they are weak to Gear Grind they can survive a non boosted one and hit back with Earthquake doing a decent amount. Golem can come in on the turn that Klang goes for Rest and hit Klang with Earthquake which is a solid 2HKO; Golem can also survive a +1 Gear Grind as well incase Klang does manage to get an attack off from Sleep Talk.

**Fast Taunt users**: Taunt users such as Electrode can cripple Klang with Taunt which stops Klang from being able to set up with Shift Gear, using Rest to gain back health or remove status or using Sleep Talk if Klang is already asleep; this forcing Klang to switch or spam Gear Grind. Electrode can come in on a Shift Gear and proceed to Taunt; disabling Klang from using Rest.

**Fire-types**: Fire-type Pokemon such Ninetales and Flareon can check Klang with their super-effective STAB Fire-type attacks before it gets the chance to set up. Ninetales can come in as Klang tries to set up Shift Gear and either force Klang to switch out or leave it in to get 2HKOed by a Life Orb Flamethrower.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off users such as Marowark and Kricketune can remove the Eviolite from Klang; if Klang loses its Eviolite its defensive stats will lower and this will disable Klang from taking more hits as it tries to set up with Shift Gear. Kricketune can't switch in but can check Klang with access to Knock Off to remove the item and Taunt to cripple the set.

**Trick**: Trick users such as Rotom-F can cripple Klang's set if it is given a Choice item. This means that not only will Klang be locked into one move, buts its Eviolite will be removed as well making it frailer and easier to take down with offensive hits. Rotom-F can check Klang as a non-boosted Gear Grind is a 3HKO as give Klang a Choice Scarf; locking it into one of its moves before switching out.

**Offensive Pressure**: Offensive pressure from Pokemon such as Heatmor and Marowak means that Klang won't get the chance to survive hits long enough to set up boosts from Shift Gear and Rest away the damage. Marowak can come in and keep attacking with Boomerang which is a 2HKO; meaning Klang won't get a chance to Rest again unless Marowak faints.

Overview
########

Klang is one of the few viable Steel-types in the tier, with its role being a late-game RestTalk Shift Gear sweeper. Its Steel typing is a defensive boon, letting it resist common threats such as Tangela and Roselia. Klang is one of the few physical sweepers that beats Avalugg due to its Steel resisting Avalanche and Gear Grind being able to break Sturdy. Unfortunately, Klang has a really poor movepool, so it's walled easily by bulky opponents such as Pelipper, Poliwrath, and Stunfisk. Klang relies on a lot of support from teammates and is weak before using Shift Gear.

RestTalk
########
name: RestTalk
move 1: Shift Gear
move 2: Gear Grind
move 3: Rest
move 4: Sleep Talk
ability: Clear Body
item: Eviolite
evs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 24 SpD / 76 Spe
nature: Impish

Moves
========

Shift Gear boosts Klang's Attack and Speed, potentially letting it sweep or clean up late-game. Gear Grind is a STAB move that hits twice, and while this is helpful against Substitute, Focus Sash and Sturdy users, it only has 85% accuracy. Rest replenishes HP and heals Klang of status, which helps Klangwhile setting up Shift Gear, and Sleep Talk lets Klang hit opposing Pokemon or further set up while asleep.

Set Details
========

The given Defense EVs and an Impish nature allow Klang to avoid getting 2HKOed by Life Orb Tauros's Earthquake after Stealth Rock damage. The EVs invested in Special Defense let Klang dodge the 2HKO from Choice Specs Raichu's Thunderbolt after Stealth Rock damage. Finally, 76 Speed EVs allow Klang to outspeed Chatot after one Shift Gear. Clear Body is Klang's only viable ability, as Minus and Plus are both useless in singles, and it stops Klang's stats being lowered. Eviolite increases Klang's bulk, so Eviolite Klang can take more hits while setting up with Shift Gear.

Usage Tips
========

Klang should be brought in against foes that can't touch it, such as Roselia, Tangela, and Gourgeist. It is essential that Pokemon that don't mind taking a Gear Grind, such as Pelipper and Poliwrath, are removed before Klang starts setting up. Klang should start using Rest and Sleep Talk once it's low on health or has been inflicted with status; it shouldn't be spamming Gear Grind if it's burned. Klang should get at least one Shift Gear boost before having to use Rest so it outspeeds most Pokemon when using Sleep Talk the next turn.

Team Options
========

Klang appreciates bulky Fairy-types and Water / Flying types, such as Togetic, Pelipper, and Mantine, as they resist Fighting. Grass-types such as Serperior and Roselia can help take down bulky Water-types that resist Klang's Gear Grind, such as Poliwrath. Toxic Spikes can wear down foes' HP when they stay in to the point when Klang can clean up, so Garbodor and Roselia are appreciated teammates. Ground-types such as Golem and Piloswine can deal with Electric-types such as Raichu and Zebstrika. Mantine has great synergy with Klang, as it can take Fire- and Fighting-type attacks and is immune to Ground-type attacks, whereas Klang can take Rock-type attacks for Mantine. Klang appreciates Misdreavus and Haunter because of their immunity to Ground- and Fighting-type attacks, two of Klang's three weaknesses. Pokemon that can take Fire-type attacks, such as Carracosta, Ninetales, and Barbaracle, are helpful for covering Klang's last weakness.

Other Options
########

Thunder Wave can be used to cripple offensive Pokemon that aren't expecting it. Volt Switch hits Pelipper hard and confers offensive momentum. Return hits Pokemon for neutral coverage when used with Gear Grind. Wild Charge hits bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Poliwrath, Mantine, and Swanna super effectively; however, it has recoil damage. Substitute can prevent Klang from getting inflicted by status or revenge killed.

Checks & Counters
########

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Poliwrath and Throh can take hits from Gear Grind and force Klang out with Circle Throw, rendering its boosts useless. Throh's Storm Throw does a ton of damage, as it is always a critical hit. Poliwrath can withstand Gear Grind due to its natural bulk and resistance to Steel; it can then set up a Substitute and use Focus Punch, dealing heavy damage to Klang.

**Ground-types**: Ground-type Pokemon such as Camerupt and Stunfisk check Klang; they can survive a Gear Grind and retaliate with Earthquake and Earth Power. They can also set up Stealth Rock while Klang is forced out.

**Fast Taunt users**: Electrode, for example, can cripple Klang with Taunt, which stops Klang from setting up Shift Gear, using Rest to regain health or remove status, and using Sleep Talk if Klang is already asleep. This forces Klang to switch or spam a weak unboosted Gear Grind.

**Fire-types**: Fire-type Pokemon such Ninetales and Flareon can check Klang, threatening Klang and forcing it out with their super effective STAB attacks before it gets the chance to set up. Ninetales can come in as Klang tries to set up Shift Gear and either force Klang to switch out or 2HKO it with a sun-boosted Life Orb Flamethrower.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off users, such as Marowak and Sneasel, can remove Klang's Eviolite, reducing its bulk; this makes Klang unable to take as many hits while setting up with Shift Gear.

**Trick**: Trick users such as Rotom-F can cripple Klang by giving it a Choice item. Not only will Klang be locked into one move, buts its Eviolite will be removed as well, making it frailer and easier to take down. Rotom-F in particular can check Klang, as an unboosted Gear Grind is only a 3HKO, giving Rotom-F plenty of time to Trick a Choice Scarf onto Klang.

**Offensive Pressure**: Pokemon such as Ninetales and Ursaring can pressure Klang, meaning it won't survive long enough to set up Shift Gear and use Rest to heal back the damage. Ninetales and Ursaring can also set up Nasty Plot and Swords Dance as Klang switches out.

Alright idk what offensive gear would run for EVs etc, but I do recommend you add the bulky gear set. The one I have been using is:

Klang @ Eviolite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 24 SpD / 76 Spe
Impish Nature
- Shift Gear
- Gear Grind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Speed EVs outspeed Chatot after one Shift Gear. Defense EVs survive two EQs from LO Tauros after rocks pretty much all the time and generally make it bulky as hell. Special Defense EVs avoid the 2hko from Specs Raichu after rocks (kind of arbitrary, I know, but I had some remaining EVs anyway).

Mention in overview how its weak without boosts

Remove wigglytuff from team options, its trash.
If you want to mention other pokemon with good synergy there is misdreavus and a lot other.

Usage tips are bland and undefined and you don't mention anything Klang can setup on or make any examples. This section can be rewritten probably :)

Bastiodon isn't a good check because if it switches into shift gear it takes a good 30-35 before roaring out and loses to last Mon klang. This section overall needs to be reorganized. You should also mention piloswine and golem as checks because while they are weak to gear grind they take it very well at +0 and can hit back harder. Remember to mention that phazers in general like def. Poliwrath lose to klang and add "offensive pressure" as a paragraph because that is the best way of beating Klang.

Do this and retag, I don't feel like checking :)

"Poliwrath doesn't appreciate going against Klang if it is the SubPunch set however due to Gear Grind being able to break the Substitute" not true so fix it.

'Shift Gear, a great move for raising Speed and Attack by one stage' < speed by +2 (probably an over sight)

Set Details
========
Put more emphasis on the fact clear body is chose because its the only ability that does something

Usage Tips
========
Replace dodrio with something else like tangela or w/e. Klang doesnt want to take a knock off.
Replace swanna with something bulky like poliwrath

Team Options
========
Mention more than just fairies to take fight hits
Mention garb with rose. Also that toxic spikes wears pokes down while klang is setting up
Remove that klang can take electric hits (it can but it sounds like klang is an electric type switch in)
I know you have mantine, but mention other that can take fire moves (eg water types)

Other Options
########
Return for neutral coverage

Checks & Counters
########

**Fighting-types**: Mention that throh storm thorh also does a lot of damage
**Ground-types**: Change examples to camerupt and stunfisk, who resist gear grind and can set up hazards
**Knock Off**: Replace kricketune with something else. You arent going to set up t1
**Offensive Pressure**: Im not too keen on this. You have already mentioned ground and fire types, and this is just mentioning pokemon that have SE stabs. Offensive pressure is also about set up sweepers forcing klang to attack or risk getting swept (ninetales and ursaring are good examples)

Darnell implement and i will stamp

Overview

Klang is one of the few viable Steel-types in the tier due to its access to Shift Gear, a great move for raising that raises Speed by two sages and Attack by one,(AC) while Steel is a good defensive typing due to its resisting 10 resistances types and only being weak to 3 weaknesses. Klang's ability, Clear Body,(AC) also stops prevents its stats from being lowered,(AC) which can be useful when it's setting up. Unfortunately, Klang has a really poor movepool,(AC) so it's walled easily, relies on a lot of support from teammates, and has mediocre stats, low Speed and is weak without the stat that require the support of boosting moves. (I changed this because the last three points were all about the same thing - stats - so it looks better to make it one point)

(I hope this is what you meant. There's just a bit of repetition, and your first Rotom-F mention is a few sentences away from the second and it feels disjointed. I think this paragraph could do with some reorganization but that's not my job since it's not grammatical errors, perse)

**Offensive Pressure**: Offensive pressure from Pokemon such as Ninetales and Ursaring means that Klang won't get the chance to survive hits long enough to set up boosts from Shift Gear and Rest away the damage. Darnell change your overview up a bit.

klang isnt one of the few viable steel types due to shift gear, it's one of the few viable steel-types, and its role is a resttalk shift gear sweeper. dont mention that steel gives x resistances and x weaknesses, mention what pokemon klang walls. no one cares about clear body it barely ever comes into play. if klang is walled easily, what is it walled by? finally the last line should change to be that klang is weak before setup, saying utilizing boosting moves on sets is necessary is wrong. mention it's a physical sweeper that beats avalugg.

add line breaks between the checks and counter sections.

I think I done this.

add line breaks between the checks and counter sections.
I used to do this and then I was told by Weebl that Oglemi said there shouldn't be spaces in between each C&C but I made the changes anyways :[ I'm just so confused when people are telling me different things to do. Could I have some confirmation on what to do in the future because as of now, I just don't think it matters if there is spaces or not?

you need spaces ive been changing them on your analyses but remember it. whoever told you was wrong.
