While you were resting into your cabins on the ship, some unexpected rumors coming from outside put you on guard. Not long after, you hear a sailor yelling "We're under attack! The Bright Hope is under attack!". As you rush out on the deck, you see Wallace holding off the assault of several enraged Pokemon.
"Good of you to have come!", he says with an alarmed tone. "We're in jeopardy! Several swarms of hostile Pokemon are surrounding the ship! I've never seen anything like...". He doesn't make in time to finish speaking that a frenzied Archeops is upon him. The champion stares in fear as the prehistoric bird is about to strike him, but then, just in time, a blast of blue energy takes out the foe.
"Wallace!", shouts Lorien, running towards the group. "Is everything ok?". As the champion nods, the mysterious man turns his attention on you. "Whoever leaded this assault is not an ordinary Trainer. You must find the head of this charge, and seize it before the enemy overcomes the ship's resistance!".

You nod in agreement and leap beyond the ship, skipping the enemy lines and landing on the shore. As you look around yourselves, though, a voice suddenly calls you.
"You're not going anywhere, New Dawn filth! The Plan must not be interrupted!".
You make just in time to avoid the foe as he pounces upon you. You take one moment to study the strange creature.



"Who are you?", you ask, on your guard. "Are you the one behind this attack?".
"I'm not here to answer your puny questions", the creature sharply replies. "We're on a strict timetable, and no one can be allowed to interfere!"

For the sake of the Plan, you and your meddlesome allies must die!

Okay Frosty here is what I am thinking. Stratagem uses Vacuum Wave A1 to pinch threat and prevent Earthquake and (I am certain Levitate should block this) Dig, Ninetales sets up Reflect on Aggron and two other Pokémon, Mollux turns on Illuminate and burns the ant (with some untargetable sub) and Cyclohm probably uses something like Flamethrower which is fine since it should not stop Aggron from taking threat. Action two with Trick Room in play and whatnot, we go all out and try to keep threat on Aggron. Basically after an action to set the stage, we go all out and basically deal as much damage as we can so that with a best case scenario we come to Gyarados 2.0 after just three rounds though that needs some calculating. Aggron should tank all phases of the encounter in my humble opinion and it should not be a difficult task when you are taking 11 damage at most from Syclant and a Shred after Burn and Reflect deals pitiful damage.

EDIT: My rough calcs say that we can reduce Syclant to less than 2750 HP after dealing about 100 DMG R1... which is not exactly conducive to getting the second Gyarados in three rounds but oh well, we will manage.

According to my calcs, we should be able to get Syclant to below 66% by the end of A1 next round, I think. I don't remember if the round ends of not when whirlwind is triggered (past raids make it seem as if it is activated only at the end of the round). If the round doesn't end, my calcs say that we should only reach 2nd gyara on R4, ending everything R5 or, at most, R6. Sure we may speed up the process by taking more risks, but I am not sure if it is necessary.

Let's see how it pans out, I suppose.

While the Fire-types quickly destroy the strange totem, the rest of the team focuses on Gyarados. The sea serpent roars in pain as the squad's Electric-type attacks pound it into submission, but manages to fire back at Basher, leaving him scorched. This however doesn't stop the raid from dispatching it and bringing its attention back to the main foe. However, Syclant's fury is only barely constrained by the Chandelure's burn.

According to my calcs, the actions above + Rock Slide and Head Smash from Aggron + Eruption from Camerupt + Thunderbolt/punch from Eelektross + Heat Wave from Chandelure defeats Gyarados with some leeway before it moves A2 (Cyclohm is the last to attack it, so Mollux, Chandelure and Stratagem attack on Syclant). I think. On that same vein the spread attacks above defeats the Totem even considering the Frost Touch.

Sure, I suggest you recheck those calcs. If everything go well, we can kill Syclant next round (150hp now and 500hp next round)


EDIT: I rechecked and the totem should fall a1 and Gyarados when cyclohm attacks A2. I added some sub goodness on Stratagem to hit the totem in case I missed something (according to my calcs totem will fall barely, so this is just a safety net of sorts)

Lorien reaches you on the shore soon after. "Today has been a sad day", he comments, his red eyes gazing towards the deep jungle beyond. "Pokemon had to find against other Pokemon, like brethen locked into a meaningless strife. But thanks to your brave deeds, we prevented this day from becoming an even more tragic one". The mysterious man steps closer to the fallen Syclant. He doesn't utter a single word for several instants, then shakes his head. "It is not the time to deal with this... not yet. Whatever forces are lined up against us, we cannot fend them off on this forgotten isle. We must discover the cause behind this eerie magnetic aura and put an end to it, or the Bright Hope ship will never be able to sail from these shores!".
After seeing you nodding as well, Lorien heads back to the ship along with you... although he can't help glancing one last time, with a worried look, at the icy bug laying motionless on the sand.
