ORAS OU good riddance u fricking frog ninja

whats up 8) meet these bungos (this is supposed to be oras ou but i dont know how to do that lol)

im back at it again after a break, and this is the team ive been playing with for a while now (after many changes). as soon as i saw mega sableye, i truly did fall in love. i have a thing for more unconventional pokemon, which isnt REALLY shining through in this team but i do think its at least not your average carbon copy OU team :) so lets get to it

gemmo (Sableye) (F) @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Dark Pulse

this pokemon is my baby. i love her. she is unstoppable. i nearly always lead with sableye. if i see hazards somewhere on that team, i mega turn one no matter what. i have no defog or rapid spin on this team, so i need magic bounce. otherwise, this is the common set i'm sure you've all seen. calm mind like 4 times then proceed to chip away at everything with dark pulse, you know. this fricker causes SO many forfeits i love it

kale (Chesnaught) @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spiky Shield
- Leech Seed
- Hammer Arm
- Wood Hammer

i needed a physical wall. chesnaught does good. I'm not completely sold on him though. but anyways, spiky shield teaches all physical attackers a lesson. leech seed + leftovers is lovely recovery. wood hammer/hammer arm deal solid damage but honestly i use them a lot less than i'd like to. chesnaught causes a lot of switches so i find myself setting up leech seed and just stalling a bit more than anything

salsa (Heatran) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

heatran looks like salsa. hes also a very impressive special wall. im using a defensive set because its so much more fun in my opinion. i usually get up rocks early to mid game because of this guy. roar is hilarious against a team with a couple birds. toxic does lots of good. lava plume is mainly to keep myself from being taunt bait, and to scare away ferrothorn and m. scizor

vega (Machamp) @ Assault Vest
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch

machamp is a champion. honestly he is. hes suprisingly buff, enough that i can safely switch into neutral stabs and survive comfortably quite often. no guard is beautiful. nothing feels better than a dynamic punch straight through substitute. otherwise, ive just got coverage moves on this guy. knock off hits unsuspecting psychics on the switch. stone edge and ice punch will nail a bird switching in, and nobody really likes getting hit by machamp's fists anyways

blueberry (Gliscor) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Fling
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake

bluberry is pretty good. i really needed someone who could take all the earthquakes being thrown at heatran. gliscor takes them the best (although chesnaught doesnt mind them either). i chose fling over toxic because i think its funnier and it also guarantees i get that full power acrobatics. i find this guy often doesnt get a chance to do anything before he's taken out though. im not too sure about him

my revenge killer :) (Heliolisk) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]

the name says it all. he revengefully kills many big pokes. the beauty in heliolisk is how many people underestimate him. nobody should ever underestimate him. he shrugs off status like its nothing. his speed and sp.atk are both over 100. hes a force to be reckoned with, and hes pretty dang cute too! grass knot is for all those annoying water types that i have trouble dealing with sometimes. hp ice is coverage, hits pokes like garchomp or other ground types expecting a volt switch.

there you have it!! my wonderful wonderful team. its not perfect. it definitely could use some work, and i'm at a lsos of where to go next. so i come to you, and beg for help.
specifically, fairy types cause me a lot of grief. mega lopunny is also ridiculously tough for me. bird spam causes me grief. and those weird landorus thingies. i hate those guys.

thanks for reading, cheers!

Hey, welcome back to Showdown. I think this team is pretty neat but I can offer a few suggestions as some of your pokes can be replaced with some of the better mons in the current OU meta. The first change I think would be better is running a fully physically defensive Mega Sableye. You're already boosting your SpDef with Calm Mind, so having that added physical bulk can help Sableye set up on more mons and also act as a better check to Mega Gallade. On Chesnaught, I'd recommend running Drain Punch>Hammer Arm as it gives you more recovery and also doesn't lower your speed which is always nice.

Next, I believe that Machamp is outclassed by a better fighting type named Conkeldurr. Conk also runs an AV set and also gets the ability Guts to act as a status absorber. While Machamp isn't bad, it isn't that viable in ORAS OU.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab/Ice Punch/Stone Edge

any move in the last slot can work on Conk depending on your team.

If you aren't too sure on Gliscor, could I recommend a Scarfed Landorus-T as a replacement? Lando-t is really good in the current OU metagame and also gives your team a revenge killer as you currently lack a reliable one.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 24 Def / 232 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge

Heliolisk is cool, but Jolteon is slightly better for your team. While it doesn't offer the amazing coverage Heliolisk provides, Jolteon is faster and stronger while also doing the same task Heliolisk does. If you want a late-game cleaner instead of Jolteon I'd recommend CM Raikou. I'll leave both sets in the spoiler and you can choose whichever one you like :].

Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power Ice
- Volt Switch

Raikou @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Substitute

That's my rate. If you have any questions about the changes, let me know. GL and welcome back to Pokemon :].

EDIT: You could also run HP Grass on Raikou if you want to nail Water-Ground types like Pert and Gastrodon.

I rated a team similar to yours earlier and it shares the same threat. Your team has a pretty big problem with CM Clefable once Heatran goes down. If your opponent has Stealth Rock up Clefable forces switches from everything on your team bar Heatran and maybe Heliosk. With Stealth Rock in play Heatran isn't going to like repeatedly switching into it and it is your only sure fire counter. In short your team requires an offensive rapid spinner that also deals with Clefable. Perhaps you can use Assault Vest Excadrill.

Excadrill @Assault Vest
Adamant 120Hp/136Atk/252 Sp Def
EQ
Rock Slide
Iron Head
Rapid Spin

If I was to pick a pokemon to replace Excadrill with.... It's Gliscor.

I would also recommend changing Heliosk to the Sub CM Raikou like already suggested. It mitigates Clefable further.

Sorry, your paragraphs lack the nutrients needed to make a good RMT. Kindly add a few lines to each Mon explaining more than the obvious, yeah we know Gliscor a Flying-type can dodge Earthquake breh, give us something we dont know. No-one is going to rate this seriously until you do this. Not sure why the mods didnt lock this tbh, you are one of the few fish that luckily got passed the smogon rmt staff screening. Good luck

its 3 am right now and ill add more tomorrow or something, SOMALIA. thanks for your feedback everyone

not sure why my post from earlier got deleted though lol, it says "i already bumped" but i was asking a question :\
@CallMeBrendannn whats up with the specific evs on lando-t and conkeldurr? im trying them out right now and from what i've seen i like conkeldurr but lando's not realy pulling it. jolteons alright, and im trying raikou tomorrow i imagine.

F22/aRaptor i think i will add excadrill over lando-t. i've had success with excadrill before. do you mind explaining the evs on excadrill? ive always just run 252 atk 252 spe.

by the wa, im thinking of replacing toxic on my heatran with flash cannon to better deal with fairies i find myself swithcing into often. usually heatran will scare them away until they realize i've got nothing to hit them with :\ what do you all t hink

After a bit of tweaking I'll change the EV spread on the Excadrill to 160HP/96Atk/252 Sp Def. The current spread avoids a 2HKO 98% of the time Vs Bold Rotom -W Hydro Pump and +2 Flamethrower Clefable. It also laughs at the common attacks that Latios/Latias have bar a surf from LO Latios, which 2HKO's 18.8% of the time. It also lives an LO Hydro Pump from Keldeo. The attack Ev's ensures 2HKO's on all above.

For reference a 252 atk Life Orb Adamant Excadrill is more or less a 2HKO vs 252Hp/252 def Clefable with Iron Head as well but is crippled by +1 Flamethrower, and a Life Orb +1 Flamethrower is pretty much a OHKO after Stealth Rock and certain if Excadrill has LO. With that spread a +1 Flamethrower isn't a danger unless you get the burn.

Keep Toxic. Flash Cannon isn't that significant. You can cripple M-Slowbro and Rotom-W and any other Bulky water with toxic and force clerics to keep using Heal Bell vs stall.
