Such a weird library...

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

*thud*

"Ouch! WHO THE HELL PUSHED ME DOWN THAT HOLE!?"

*readies Poké Ball*

"Last time I take parkour lessons from total strangers. Whoever it was, I hope he runs very fast, as otherwise he is as good as dead. Hyrule, take me out of he -"

*Looks around. Enourmous, deserted library, full of dirt and spiderwebs.*

".. uh, what is this place? I didn't see it in the map. Seems like an ancient library. Doesn't anyone take care of these things anymore? Well, since I'm already here, might as well take a look arou- Whaaaa!?"

*Dim lights start appearing everywhere. Suddenly, the bookshelves start to shake, and the books are sent flying all around. No, nevermind, they are actually FLYING AROUND.*

"Wha- What the hell is happening? Is this place cursed? Come on, I have been in enough cursed places already."

*Sounds of steps and of people talking. Goes take a look."

"And those two? They are holding Poké Balls... Eh!? They are freeing their Pokémon? Are they planning to battle here? Are they insane (says the guy who once battled inside the mind of one of them)?"

*A single, thin book flies to Tavok's hands. Too fast. He gets taken down by the hit, but the book didn't seem to care (can they care?) and just opens itself.*

Library of Abilites: Somewhere deep in the empirical city (no not the famous one, the lesser known empirical city), lies a forgotten place of magical literature, The Etheral Libraries. This majestic palace of a place is getting older due to no one taking care of it, but it still holds a pwerful secret; The books! they hold descriptive passages of every known ability of man and pokemon. and since this place is magic, when you battle here the books come alive! they miss being used (refer to the kitchen ware fom beauty and the beast), and they will willingly let you use their power! As you send a pokemon in, two random books will soar straight into your pokemon, and with a flash of power, they will be incapable of using their original abilites! but fret not, they will have two new abilites! weather its for good or worse, we know not, but it sure does make for an intersting battle!

Ref RNGs two abilites for each pokemon. If a pokemon is FE then they get 3 RNG'd abilities.

The arena is 200 feet by 200 feet, square shaped. the walls of this arena are tall and dusty book shelves, and the floor is covered in a deep pruple and gold carpet, giving the place an old but magical feel. there are some lights, not too much though. every pokemon can see just fine though

"Oh, great, seems like I'm stuck as a referee. Uh? Oh wow, this book even has all the info about who those guys are and their Pokémon!"

Bagon - Happy (M)

What is there to say about Happy, besides his namesake? When Natsu found the egg, he's very excited to have a younger brother who'd also be a Dragon. And so he went to great pains to help it hatch - asking Elfman to warm it up, sleeping with it every night, hugging it as everybody travel. It took a week for Natsu's wishes to come true, and Happy has been sticking around Natsu ever since. Even though Happy have no wishes to evolve, he would still stand up for Natsu (who's much stronger than him), simply because they're great partners. Happy is also the only one whom Natsu wouldn't pick a brawl with - which says a lot about their camaraderie.

Nature: Impish (+1 Def, -1 SpA)

Type:
Dragon Type: Dragon STAB; -1 BAP on incoming neutral attacks Dragon itself would resist (e.g. -1 BAP on Aqua Jet against Garchomp.) Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Rock Head
Type: Passive
Happy's cheer and surprisingly tough constitution prevents it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash.

Ability 2: Sheer Force
Type: Toggle
Happy can energize all its attacks with secondary effect chances that are less than 100%. When Toggled, the Base Attack Power of every move with an effect chance less than 100% increases by two (2), sans the secondary effect.

Jet - Nincada (M)

His dream is to be fast. He became friends with everyone faster than Laxus, but he always felt... vulnerable. Hence the dream. He wanted to be fast, so that if trouble comes, it'll never catch him. So that when enemies come, they'll never know what hit them. So that when sorrow comes, he'll be long gone.

Nature: Adamant (+Atk; -SpA)

Type:
Bug type: Bug STAB; Adds an additional guaranteed attack on all multi-hit moves (does not include two hit moves) with a total hit cap of five (5).

Ground type: Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists, Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Compoundeyes
Type: Passive
Jet's complex eyes give him a comprehensive view of the field, making his moves and attacks 30% (x1.3) more accurate.

Ability 2: Run Away (Hidden, Locked)
Type: Passive
Jet is quick on his feet, evading any field traps and hazards that would harm it (Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes) in an arena. Run Away does not allow the Pokemon to switch out of trapping moves or abilities, however it can escape other situational trapping strategies in battle.

Turtwig - Droy (M)

Jet is Droy's fastest new friend. Often hungry and wanting food, Droy would implore Jet to help him find stuff to eat. Often after raiding the kitchens, the pair would sneak about the monastery, looking for places to hide while they eat. But when he's not eating, Droy can often be seen working on the gardens and the orchard with Wendy, doing his chores by helping around to make new fresh produce - which he'll eat, of course.

Nature: Sassy (+SpDef, -15% Speed, -10% Acc)

Type:
Grass Type: Grass STAB; immunity to Leech Seed, Worry Seed, and all "Powder" based attacks (Poisonpowder, Powder, Rage Powder, Sleep Powder, Spore, Stun Spore). Unable to have Petal Dance disrupted by oncoming damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Grass attacks requiring an external grass source. Bloom Command.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Overgrow
Type: Passive
When Droy's HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any grass attack is increased by two (2). (eg Giga Drain goes from 8 to 10, Solar Beam from 12 to 14)

Ability 2: Shell Armour (Hidden)

Unown - Levy

Levy is a book-lover, who chanced upon the library collection in the monastery Zheng founded. Inside, she was astounded to find books of a totally new philosophy to her, a history of a world she never imagined of. Resolute that she would not pass up this chance, she resided there until Jet and Droy happened upon her in their wanderings, and the trio soon became fast friends.

Nature: Modest (+SpAtk, -Atk)

Type:
Psychic Type: Psychic STAB; Levy's tome of spells enable her to lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Levitate
Type: Passive
Levy has a small magic rug, which floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can still strike her if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Okay, since akela agreed with Items = On, in tavok's words, let the chaos ensues!
Escapades of Happy and Team Shadow Gear part 2 or 3 said:

"Wait, so why are we here again?"

"Shhh - Levy loves books, that's why."

"But why am I here?"

"Uh, Cookbooks about Magikarps and Feebas?"

"Oh yeah, SIGN ME UP!!! Natsu's favourite Fang should help me a little here!"
Happy (Bagon w/ Dragon Fang) up.

Oh God please let it be something cool, let it be something cool...

Bagon's first ability = 116: Prankster :D
Bagon's second ability = 56: Healer :/

Pikachu's first ability = 187: Volt Absorb (troll much?)
Pikachu's second ability = 192: Wonder Guard .-.

Uh, I think this already counts as hax in akela's favor...

Also, would abilities change if a Pokémon switches out?

Flavour after I finish putting up threads. Hopefully the combo has some extra side effects like starting at -2 HP or something.
As a light yellow light shimmered around the Pikachu's fur, Levy gasped.

"It-it's the Light of Ash's Blessing!! B-bu-but that's impossible! Happy you NEED to get out of there!!"

"Ughh... I feel sick... Maybe I ate some bad food last night... Photosensitive seizures doesn't help too.... BLURRKK"

"And off they go!
Wait nvm, what are those books doing, getting in the way? Are... are their letters separating from the pages and going into the Pokémon? That's... weird, to say the least."

*checks the book he has on had*

"Oh oh oh, seems like what those books are doing is taking their abilities away and giving them new ones! Happy got Healer, which is useless in doubles; and Prankster, which is a great ability... when you have more than a couple non attacking options. Not really Happy's case.

Aj Lee got Volt Absorb - those books are trolls, I tell ya - and... OMFG is that Wonder Guard!? Oh God, seems like akela just won the lottery: perhaps the most ability in the game, and he gets it in a Pokémon that has a SINGLE WEAKNESS. Not to mention that it can hit anything that has STAB on its weakness hard thanks to the Belle custome. Zheng Tann is, all in all, screwed."

And it seems like he knows that, as he tries to stall the round by forcing akela to play a little less offensively.

First, Happy erects a barrier around him, which completely stops the big chunk of ice that Aj Lee launched at him. Not very interesting, but effective I guess.

Happy then starts acummulating toxic gases inside him, but Aj Lee is taking none of that: instead, he somehow flies high up and stays there while Happy, who can't hold the gases any longer due to his Prankster ability forcing him to do something malicious ASAP (be it against the Pikachu or his own trainer), expulses all the wastes around the room. Do these books come with oxygen masks?

Happy is unable to move after having all those toxins inside him, which Aj Lee takes advantage of by going for a quick one-two punch, sharply decending towards Happy face first. Which seems, uh, unortodox. But hey, I guess it works for him.

Happy is now a little tired and paralyzed, while Aj Lee is feeling quite powerful and looking for more. Can Zheng Tann stop this monster?"

EDIT: Despite what ZT says, the extra CC granted to maxed pokemon is rounded down. The 17 Hidden Powers Unown knows is counted as ONE move.
EDIT2 in response to ZT's EDIT2: I know this because my Unown is maxed and was only used once after being maxed in order to get clarification on the Maxed Pokemon CC bonus.

"It's time for the third round of this weird battle, now complete with flavor!
It's not much, and neither is it good, but hey!

A pretty boring round IMO. Jet sets up a Sandstorm while Waterhead breaks his Substitute.

Then the Shelmet starts biding his time, while Jet hits it twice from the air with incredible precision.

Now, I don't know what akela's plan is. As far as I can see, Hidden Power was his best option for damage. But hey, maybe there's something else up. I dunno.

Lets now see what these two have in mind."

"IT'S TIME TO RELEASE THE PAWA!
And that's what Waterhead does, but the results are less than incredible: not only was the power accumulated rather low, but Jet quickly erected a protective barrier, stopping the attack in its tracks.

Jet now goes tricky and, with a smile in his face, he throws some mud towards his opponent's eyes, obstructing his vision: thinking that how its safe, he launches himself towards Waterhead, only to meet a Mud-Slap fired by the other bug type. His precision, however, is unnafected, and he's able to get the full strike in.

As he backs away, however, he notices something: several orbs of light appear around Jet, and start spinning quicly around him. Then, suddenly, they close in and strike him in his biggest weakness.

Both Pokémon are in a somewhat bad shape: Jet is getting tired, while Waterhead is a little too hurt. Jet has the environmet advantage thanks to the sandstorm that is brewing, while Waterhead has shown that he's able to hit harder. Who will win this battle between bugs?"

"Nice one, Jet! Keep going!"

"Dangit, why is Levy only cheering for Jet? Hey Jet, take a break, my turn to fight now!"
Switch phase initiated, Droy (Turtwig @ Rare Candy) coming in. Counterswitch?

Thanks xD

Turtwig is the one being sent out though, so only 2 abilities.

Turwig's First Ability = 164: Super Luck.
Turtwig's Second Ability = 148: Snow Cloak.

Wow, maybe I shouldn't be this hasty in equipping Rare Candy (he could've had Scope Lens instead!)

"Alright, you're going down! After I finish the layout, that is."
Stealth Rock > Crunch > Bite
IF Waterhead-Shelmet would use Mud-Slap, THEN replace that action with Protect ONCE, pushing remaining queue back.
IF Waterhead-Shelmet would use Toxic, THEN replace that action with Safeguard ONCE, pushing remaining queue back.
