TLR Begin!

RUINED EDEN

Set before you is a massive island that humans have long ago abandoned. Leaving from the helicopter you took here onto a vista, you look down and see a land shrouded in a thick poisonous mist. Directly in front of you is a thoroughly unappealing Swamp, which covers an expansive amount of land. You can see a Stream feeding into further up and to the right, in an area that appears to be under a constant, violent electrical storm. To the right a massive build-up of land forms a caldera around a huge lake of lava that is led into by a vast expanse of barren rock.

Scattered throughout the wreckage, you see some indications that humans once lived here but that a cataclysm had occurred. What little you can see through the tinted fog looks like deeply corroded ruins of civilisation. You turn your attention to the very far side of the island, behind the lake of lava. In the distance sits a massive tower that would at one point been a pillar of civilisation but now appears to be a massive tower of blackened soot, standing as a permanent reminder of the permanence of nothing but entropy. Humanity has abandoned this place, but rumours of legends still abound. You survey the pathways down from the Vista. Which place do you approach first?

Molten Lake - Rocky Start

Pointing your finger towards the massive build-up to the far right, you decide that the best path to take from the vista is to go towards the Molten Lake. You head there and get ready, knowing that you are in for a hot reception.

After a fifteen minute pleasant walk along the path, you notice that the terrain starts to become jagged and less flat. You know that you need to cross this terrain to head further towards the lake so you start to take things a bit carefully. Soon enough the terrain becomes so jagged that you trip over a rather sharp rock and crash onto a rather flat patch. You have a little bruise on your right ankle but that is the least of your worries now as you look at the flat, rocky terrain ahead of you. You also notice that rocky walls have built up to either side of you, creating a tunnel-like feel. You walk for a couple more minutes, only to be stopped by the sudden barking of two canine-like creatures. You look up and notice a Growlithe and a Houndour. The two jump down onto the rocky floor and seal off your chances of getting past. You will need to send out your Pokémon to deal with these two.

Restrictions: No External Water Source, No External Grass Source, No Grassy Terrain permitted.

Combination Timers: 1 (Status), 2 (Damaging)

Description: Heading up to the lake in the middle of the caldera, you must walk through thus pure rocky expanse which consists of nothing but rock as far as the eye can see, save the massive lava lake. Walls are built up to either side of you, narrowing the area although it is still rather wide.

Mechanics:
-Arena Type: Rock.
-Fire Spin's effect: "The opponent will suffer more intense damage if it tries to break out of the flames with normal attacks." is codified as: When a non Fire-type Pokémon trapped by Fire Spin when attempting to use a contact move, the Pokémon will instead take 4 DMG (8 DMG if the user of Fire Spin has a Binding Band equipped) and will have a 30% chance of being burned by the attack.

Molten Lake - Lava Crossing

Feeling like the bridge was an obvious trap, you decide to risk your life and hop from rock to rock across the lava. You manage to pick up the sack on one of the lava platforms which contains an Occa Berry, a Great Ball, and a Poison Gem inside. You store the contents in your bag and continue to hop your way to the other side and get up without issues. The same could not be said for your entire party however, with all of them taking damage upon contact with the lava and absolutely no one has been burned from their encounters! You tend to your stricken Pokémon and then shrug it off, edging closer towards the lake...

Molten Lake - Magmar Gauntlet

Continuing on the road to the lake, you notice a bunch of Magmar on either side of the road. They seem to have noticed your presence and want to do everything in their power to stop you from progressing further by blindly firing streams of flamethrowers to try and burn you to a crisp. You can try to act brave and attempt to outrun their flamethrower trap. On the other hand, you notice a little bit of a detour to the far right, forming a passage inside the wall. You do not know what lies down that path but you need to make a decision. What do you do?

Molten Lake - Magmar Gauntlet

Willing to take your chances, you decide to take on the Magmar Gauntlet in order to continue your path to the lake. Using your timing you manage to run quickly and recklessly, managing to avoid the Flamethrowers and make it to the other side! This did not please the Magmar and they attack you. You manage to find a hiding hole in the middle of the rocky road and manage to get inside, out of the sight of the Magmar. Thinking you got away, the Magmar look around for a bit before groaning and leaving, not happy that they lost you. After a bit, you get up from your hiding hole and realise the coast is clear. After getting up you notice that there is an Ether on the ground, seemingly dropped by a trainer. You can also notice a couple of horse-like Pokémon in the distance. What do you do?

Molten Lake - Magmar Gauntlet

Gonna have to say no because you are not supposed to know what you are facing and current Trace Rules. Anyhow:

Thinking it is an obvious trap, you ignore the Ether and move on. You take a few steps only to be attacked by three Ponyta, who charge in on you from all directions and leave you surrounded. They look young but seem more intelligent than the Magmar from earlier. You will need to dispatch the three if you want to go further, however.

Restrictions: No External Water Source, No External Grass Source, No Grassy Terrain permitted.

Combination Timers: 1 (Status), 2 (Damaging)

Description: Heading up to the lake in the middle of the caldera, you must walk through thus pure rocky expanse which consists of nothing but rock as far as the eye can see, save the massive lava lake. Walls are built up to either side of you, narrowing the area although it is still rather wide.

Mechanics:
-Arena Type: Rock.
-Fire Spin's effect: "The opponent will suffer more intense damage if it tries to break out of the flames with normal attacks." is codified as: When a non Fire-type Pokémon trapped by Fire Spin when attempting to use a contact move, the Pokémon will instead take 4 DMG (8 DMG if the user of Fire Spin has a Binding Band equipped) and will have a 30% chance of being burned by the attack.
