Rattata is most comparable to Bunnelby but separates itself in a couple ways. It has interesting movepool options like Sucker Punch, Flame Wheel, Zen Headbutt and Crunch while still having important moves like U-turn, Quick Attack, a steel move in Iron Tail, etc. Rattata hits just as hard as Bunnelby if it's using Double Edge, something Bunnelby does not have. Rattata does have to rely on Hustle for the most part which kinda sucks, but Guts is a decent ability too. Rattata also has an extra speed point, meaning it hits the 17 speed tier, which is pretty nice for a lot of ties. The biggest reason to use Rattata over Bunnelby is because of its ability to beat some of Bunnelby's best checks in Ferroseed and Ghost-types in general, while still being able to have a similar damage output. Deserves an analysis imo!

Could I reserve Glameow? It's similar to Meowth, with around the same stats, fewer coverage options, and Limber instead of Technician, but Play Rough and Sucker Punch to compensate.

If someone wants to revamp Phantump, you can go for it. The main goal is to emphasize its differences from Pumpkaboo and the old analysis was really old and had Misdreavus mentions anyway.

Here's the skeleton if you want to work off that, but I'd expect major changes.
Overview
########

Phantump is one of only two Pokemon in the Little Cup tier with access to the ability Harvest. With this ability, Phantump has a 50% chance of recycling a used Berry, which means that Phantump can utilize Oran Berry to heal itself repeatedly. It has a wide movepool for breaking down walls, including Will-O-Wisp and Leech Seed, and its Ghost / Grass typing resists four common attacking types as well as being immune to Normal-type, Fighting-type, and powder-based moves. Unfortunately, Phantump faces a crippling weakness to Knock Off which not only hits it for super effective damage, but also removes Phantump's Berry permanently. Carrying a Berry also hampers its mediocre defenses, giving it limited opportunities to set up a Substitute due to weaknesses to five common attacking types. Its offensive options are also fairly limited, so an offensive set is difficult to use.

SubSeeder
########
name: SubSeeder
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Leech Seed
move 3: Will-O-Wisp
move 4: Horn Leech / Shadow Claw
ability: Harvest
item: Oran Berry
evs: 172 HP / 132 Def / 196 SpD
nature: Careful

Moves
========

Substitute is necessary for Phantump to avoid heavy hits and being crippled by status and Knock Off while allowing it to attack or cripple opponents in safety. It also can lower Phantump's HP to a range where Oran Berry will activate. Leech Seed is useful for wearing down bulky opponents while providing Phantump with recovery. Will-O-Wisp also helps wear down walls, and it also cripples physical attackers which helps Phantump stand up to hits its mediocre Defense otherwise wouldn't. Horn Leech or Shadow Claw can be chosen as Phantump's physical attack. Horn Leech hurts Water-, Ground-, and Rock-type opponents, notably Drilbur and Tirtouga, as well as providing Phantump with even more recovery, while Shadow Claw ensures it isn't walled by Grass- or Fire-types.

Set Details
========

Phantump relies on using an Oran Berry alongside Harvest to heal itself and recycle the Berry. It chooses to run 196 Special Defense EVs are used with a Careful nature in order to maximize its special bulk and take hits more comfortably. 132 Defense EVs give it reasonable physical bulk and the remaining EVs are placed in HP so that it can tank some hits.

Usage Tips
========

Phantump is good at wearing down walls like Lickitung or Munchlax, that don't appreciate being seeded or burned. It can also set up a Substitute on things slower than it and proceed to whittle down their health with Leech Seed while healing itself. Phantump is also a decent spinblocker, able to hit common Rapid Spinners in the tier like Drilbur and Staryu quite hard with Horn Leech. Phantump is frail, however, and should never stay in on an opponent with Knock Off unless it is behind a Substitute, as Knock Off will remove Phantump's Berry and hit for super effective damage.

Team Options
========

Vulpix is a decent teammate for Phantump, as it sets up sun which makes Harvest trigger every turn. It can also fire off a sun-boosted Fire Blast to deal with opponents Phantump has trouble pushing past, particularly Ferroseed. Houndour resists four of Phantump's five weaknesses and has an easier time taking out opponents Phantump has weakened with Leech Seed or Will-O-Wisp. Phantump also appreciates Pokemon like Magnemite or Chinchou to remove Flying-type opponents such as Fletchling and Doduo. Archen can also take out Flying-types while also being able to set up Stealth Rock.

Attacker
########
name: Attacker
move 1: Horn Leech
move 2: Shadow Claw
move 3: Rock Slide
move 4: Substitute
ability: Natural Cure / Harvest
item: Eviolite / Oran Berry
evs: 12 HP / 196 Atk / 132 Def / 116 SpD / 52 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Horn Leech is useful for hitting opponents such as Drilbur, Tirtouga, Diglett, and Chinchou for super effective damage. It also heals Phantump, which is welcome, considering it doesn't carry Leech Seed on this set. Shadow Claw is Phantump's other STAB and is capable of OHKOing Misdreavus without Eviolite after Stealth Rock damage. Rock Slide is great defeating for Flying- and Bug-type opponents, particularly Fletchling which resists Phantump's STAB options. Substitute is a useful option for activating Oran Berry as well as giving Phantump an opening to attack behind the safety of a Substitute.

Set Details
========

Eviolite and Natural Cure are Phantump's preferred choices on this set as Phantump hates status, so the ability to cure it by switching out is convenient. Eviolite allows Phantump with 132 Defense EVs to take a 110 Base Power Acrobatics from Adamant Fletchling, and also allows it to take a Shadow Ball from Timid Misdreavus when running 116 Special Defense EVs. 196 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature ensure Phantump's attacks hit as hard as possible. The remaining EVs are placed in HP and Speed to increase survivability and allow it to outspeed some slower opponents. Oran Berry and Harvest can be used if healing is needed, but Phantump generally prefers the bulk afforded by Eviolite.

Usage Tips
========

Phantump can break walls that have had their items removed and can finish off weakened opponents after they've taken damage from entry hazards. It is also quite good at preserving entry hazards as it can spinblock and hit spinners like Drilbur and Staryu for good damage with Horn Leech. However, Phantump is still frail even with Eviolite, so it should not used carelessly, especially against opponents with Knock Off.

Team Options
========

Phantump appreciates an ally with Knock Off, such as Pawniard or Mienfoo, as it removes items that trouble Phantump, such as Eviolite and Berry Juice. It also really enjoys an entry hazard setter such as Tirtouga or Trubbish to soften some bulkier opponents. Phantump can even benefit from Sticky Web, which enables it to outspeed some faster opponents. A Baton Passer like Torchic can also help Phantump overcome its Speed issues by passing it one or two Speed boosts. Mienfoo with Stone Edge is a great lure for Flying-types as well as being able to handle the Dark- and Steel-types Phantump can't take on. Archen is also a useful Flying-type check with access to Stealth Rock.

Other Options
########

Wood Hammer is a stronger STAB option than Horn Leech, but taking recoil is really unwelcome on both sets. Phantump can be a decent Trick Room setter, as its low Speed and high Attack make it a good user of the strategy. Other physical options such as Poison Jab and Bulldoze can be used for Fairy- and Steel-types, but they are fairly weak and don't really offer much additional coverage. Other Berries can be utilized with Harvest, such as a Lum Berry with Rest or a stat-boosting berry, however, Lum Berry is less consistent than Natural Cure and stat-boosting berries are risky as they only activate once Phantump is below half of its full health.

Checks & Counters
########

**Knock Off Users**: Pawniard, Mienfoo, and Timburr disrupt Phantump's Harvest ability by permanently removing a Berry with Knock Off. It also hits for super effective damage and can KO Phantump without Eviolite most of the time.

**Pawniard**: Pawniard is faster than Phantump and can KO any variant without Eviolite with Knock Off. Horn Leech and Shadow Claw barely leave a scratch on it. Eviolite Phantump is KOed by Knock Off most of the time and cannot do anything significant in return.

**Timburr**: Timburr doesn't fear burns thanks to its ability Guts, isn't bothered by any of Phantump's attacks, and can hit back with Knock Off or Ice Punch.

**Taunt Users**: Cottonee and Purrloin can leave Phantump useless without its support moves by using Taunt.

**Fire-types**: Growlithe and Ponyta can heal off Leech Seed damage all day long with Morning Sun and smash Phantump with Flare Blitz, all while being immune to Will-o-Wisp.

**Flying-types**: Archen and Fletchling are powerful enough to outspeed and OHKO Phantump variants without Eviolite.

**Infiltrator and Sound-Based Moves**: Although rare in Little Cup, Pokemon with the Infiltrator ability or a sound-based move can hit Phantump through its Substitute.

oops double posting but some people might want to see this

Totodile just got Sheer Force and could use a revamp!

Overview
########
Totodile is a moderately powerful Pokemon that has access to Dragon Dance, which allows it to sweep through teams. However, Totodile is almost entirely outclassed by Corphish, only having the advantage in Speed and Special Defense. Even so, Totodile's Speed is abysmal at best, capping out at 14 with an Adamant nature. Another crippling trait Totodile possesses is the lack of coverage it can have, with only two moves of varying coverage. This leads it to being walled by a variety of different Pokemon. However, Totodile's high 16 Attack still makes it viable in the metagame.

Dragon Dance
########
name: Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Aqua Jet / Substitute
move 4: Ice Punch / Brick Break
ability: Torrent
item: Eviolite
evs: 36 HP / 156 Atk / 4 Def / 60 SpD / 252 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========
Dragon Dance raises Totodile's abysmal Speed and its already high Attack stat. As a primary STAB move, Waterfall does a good job of disposing of Eviolite-lacking Pokemon that are neutral to it, and gives Totodile a chance to flinch the opponent, which can be especially important when against Pokemon that otherwise wall Totodile. Aqua Jet can be used to polish off opposing Pokemon that can otherwise harm Totodile. Substitute lets Totodile set up with more ease, allowing it to take certain hits and retaliate accordingly. Ice Punch hits Grass-types, which resist Waterfall, solidly. Brick Break, however, allows Totodile to break through bulky Normal- and Steel-types such as Munchlax and Ferroseed, respectively, which can survive one of Totodile's hits and proceed to cripple and beat Totodile 1v1.

Set Details
========
156 Attack EVs leave Totodile with 16 Attack, allowing it to leave moderate dents in opposing Pokemon even before setting up. 252 EVs go into Speed to maximize it, ensuring that Totodile can outspeed certain threats while unboosted, such as Cottonee and Chespin. The remaining EVs boost HP, Defense, and Special Defense by one more full stat point. Eviolite further increases these stats, allowing Totodile to survive longer while it sets up.

Usage Tips
========
Totodile is disposed of quite easily by a variety of hard-hitting Pokemon, such as Abra and Mienfoo. Be certain to only set up on Pokemon that are forced out by the presence of Totodile, such as Drilbur and Archen. Also be sure to remove or severely cripple Totodile's checks and counters as well as any status users before attempting to set up, as it has no way of removing status.

Team Options
========
Seeing as Totodile is entirely shut down by status, having a Pokemon that is unafraid to be statused is immensely beneficial to Totodile, with Foongus playing this role quite nicely. Guts Timburr can also assist in this, being able to use such an infliction to its advantage and proceed to weaken the opposing team, leaving way for Totodile to do more work. However, if either you do not have a status absorber or it has failed to do its job, having a Pokemon such a Spritzee that can Aromatherapy away any negative effects is a nice backup to keep Totodile in fighting shape. Having the ability to pass a Wish off to Totodile to increase its longevity is also another nice factor that allows Totodile to attempt setting up again. Another type of Pokemon that helps Totodile set up is a fast Memento user, namely Diglett and Cottonee, can ensure that Totodile gets to set up at least once. The final piece to help ensure the best of a Totodile sweep would be fast Knock Off users, to remove Eviolites from nuisances to Totodile. Choice Scarf Pawniard plays this role expertly, being able to not only remove essential items from Pokemon but also deal respectable damage to a large variety of Pokemon.

Other Options
########
Most of the options that Totodile has are mainly for coverage, such as running Crunch for Psychic-types, namely Slowpoke. More examples are Aerial Ace for Croagunk and Mienfoo, Rock Slide for Mantyke, Iron Tail for Snubbull and Spritzee, Superpower for a hard-hitting move to dispose of Normal-types, and Double-Edge for a neutral coverage move that takes Totodile down to Torrent even quicker. In place of Dragon Dance, you can run a Swords Dance set, though the lack of Speed boosts is the greatest downfall of such a set.

Checks & Counters
########
**Status Users**: Totodile has no real method of dealing with status once it begins to set up, as it cannot afford to remove it by switching out and having to attempt setting up again. That being said, burns and paralysis are extremely detrimental to Totodile, as they lower its Attack and Speed, respectively. Bulky Pokemon such as Porygon or Slowpoke are easily able to eat up an attack Totodile goes for and proceed to Thunder Wave it.

**Powerful Choice Scarf Users**: Powerful Choice Scarf users, such as Pawniard and Gastly, are able to typically outspeed and revenge kill a weakened Totodile, even after a single Dragon Dance, assuming they are able to survive a boosted Aqua Jet.

**Focus Sash / Sturdy Users**: Focus Sash or Sturdy users revenge kill Totodile easily. Magnemite falls into the second category, being able to take any hit Totodile may have, and proceed to OHKO it with its Electric-type STAB moves.

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Slowpoke and Chinchou can easily switch in and retaliate with Psychic and an Electric-type move, respectively.

**Croagunk**: Thanks to Dry Skin, Croagunk is able to take Waterfall and Aqua Jet while whittling Totodile down to the point where it can either finish it off on its own or have something else revenge kill it.

**Bulky Grass-types**: Cottonee can prevent Totodile from setting up, Encoring it into Dragon Dance if it were to use it, and proceeding to 2HKO it with Giga Drain. Ferroseed, when healthy, can eat up any attack Totodile may throw at it, and proceed to paralyze, and 2HKO it. Foongus can eat up attacks, and then put Totodile to sleep, neutralizing it as a threat, and proceed to dispose of it with Giga Drain.

**Timburr**: Timburr has the capability to set up alongside Totodile, being able to tank the boosted hits with the gained Defense from Bulk Up, something Totodile is unable to match.

theres no reason to post here for that, just be patient or bug fizz on ps to approve it if you want, but youre just cluttering up the thread with all these posts. if they havent approved it in a few days its acceptable to bump the request, but it hasnt even been 36 hours so chill.
oh and tbh why is phantump even getting an analysis it relies on questionable recovery, its weak, it needs to run evio so it doesnt fall over in a gentle breeze but running evio just turns it into a worse pumpkin, and especially with harvest its literally getting on its knees and begging to be knocked off. it has pretty much no niche at all.

It has a small niche on hazard stacking sand teams (rain and hail as well I guess) because it can use Rest + Natural Cure instead of Synthesis

I would like to revamp Helioptile

Sun isnt used as much and Helio was a middling choice on sun even tho it has Solar Power. It may have been faster than the only other LC mon with Solar Power (Charmander who is 1 point slower) but it has arguably worse coverage and worse bulk via stats and typing. It also ignores the finer things that makes Helioptile shine like: Dry Skin, U-Turn, and Glare. (we dont talk about Parabolic Charge)

(Mambo approved)
