Overview
########

Entei received a massive buff when it received Sacred Fire, one of the most beneficial attacks in the game. Thanks to Sacred Fire's STAB boost, and amazing 50% chance to burn, even supposed checks will have a hard time switching into Entei, factoring in possible entry hazards and burn damage. Entei's access to Extreme Speed makes it a fantastic late-game cleaner, and its solid bulk and a decent base 100 Speed allows it to outspeed common walls such as Chesnaught and Cresselia. However, Entei is plagued with a vulnerability to every form of entry hazard, including the very common Stealth Rock, and no reliable recovery, making it unable to switch in multiple times. Because Flash Fire is unreleased, Entei must run Pressure, which is a rather mediocre ability unless Entei is using a bulkier set. Its Speed stat, while decent, is also nothing spectacular, especially considering that Entei is forced to run an Adamant nature to use Extreme Speed and Flare Blitz.

Choice Band
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: Sacred Fire
move 2: Flare Blitz
move 3: Extreme Speed
move 4: Stone Edge
item: Choice Band
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Sacred Fire packs high power with the STAB boost and a good chance to burn, while Flare Blitz has more PP and gives the extra power that Sacred Fire does not have; be aware, however, that Entei takes recoil damage if it chooses to use Flare Blitz. Extreme Speed is a priority move and can pick off weakened and faster foes such as Mega Beedrill and Crobat after they have taken Stealth Rock damage. Stone Edge targets Flash Fire users and opposing Fire-type Pokemon such as Arcanine and Chandelure as well as Mega Aerodactyl on the switch.

Set Details
========

An Adamant nature is required, as Extreme Speed and Flare Blitz are event-only moves. Choice Band is the preferred item, maximizing Entei's attack, although Life Orb can be used for the ability to switch moves but gives Entei slightly less power. Maximum Attack EVs are for maximum damage output, while the Speed EVs let Entei outspeed everything up to positive-natured base 86 Speed Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

Unless the opponent has a Flash Fire user, Entei's best bet is to spam Sacred Fire. Even checks and counters to Entei don't appreciate the residual damage from a burn combined with possible damage from entry hazards. Sacred Fire's 95% accuracy can cause issues, and it also has limited PP, so Pokemon such as Suicune, which has Pressure, can easily PP stall Entei's Sacred Fire. Because of this, you should also be wary of Flash Fire users such as Chandelure. Don't switch Entei in and out often while Stealth Rock is present on your side of the field, as the combination of Life Orb recoil, if it is being used, and entry hazards wear Entei down extremely fast.

Team Options
========

Powerful Electric and Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Ampharos and Shaymin are handy for dealing with the bulky Water-types that give Entei trouble, as most of them can stall out Entei's Sacred Fire. Mega Blastoise and Empoleon can force out Rock-types and clear entry hazards with Rapid Spin and Defog, respectively. Entry hazard setters such as Rhyperior make Entei's job easier, as entry hazard damage and burn damage quickly wear down Entei's switch ins.

Other Options
########

Entei has a somewhat shallow movepool, so it does not have many other decent options. Assault Vest is viable to raise Entei's passable special bulk, a specially attacking Calm Mind set can be used to surprise physical walls, and a Sunny Day + Solar Beam set can be used to hit many of Entei's checks and counters.

Checks & Counters
########

**Mega Ampharos**: RestTalk Mega Ampharos can easily eat up any hit from Entei and doesn't fear Sacred Fire burns. It can pivot out or force Entei out with its STAB moves.

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Vaporeon, Alomomola, and Suicune take Scared Fire very well and can PP stall Entei.

**Entry Hazards**: Stealth Rock and Spikes wear down Entei very quickly, and it without team support, Entei can't recover any entry hazard damage it takes.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-types such as Krookodile and Rhyperior take little to no damage from Sacred Fire, fearing only its chance to burn, and can even set up Stealth Rock to wear Entei down.

**Flash Fire Users**: Pokemon with Flash Fire, such as Chandelure can switch in to Choice-locked Entei and get a boost in the process

**Curse Snorlax**: Curse Snorlax can freely switch into Entei and easily set up.

**Defensive Arcanine**: Thanks to Intimidate, defensive Arcanine, and can switch into Entei with little problem, barely fearing even Stone Edge.

**Revenge Killers**: Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Jolly Krookodile can easily revenge kill Entei. However, both fear Sacred Fire burns, so they cannot freely switch in.

Overview
########

  • Sacred Fire
  • Extreme Speed, making it a great late game cleaner
  • Pretty good Attack
  • Fairly bulky, allowing it to take hits
  • Sacred Fire is super spamable
  • Somewhat fast with a 100 base Speed
  • Sacred Fire
  • Stealth Rock weakness
  • No reliable recovery
  • Pretty useless ability unless you're abusing bulk
  • Did I mention Sacred Fire

Sacred Fire Choice Band
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: Sacred Fire
move 2: Flare Blitz
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Extreme Speed
ability: Pressure
item: Choice Band
evs: 252 Atk / 252 SpE / 4 Def
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

  • Sacred Fire for high powered STAB and good Burn chance
  • Flare Blitz gives the extra power Sacred Fire can't and has more PP
  • Extreme Speed for powerful priority
  • Stone Edge for filler / coverage and hits Fire types like Arcanine and Chandelure as well as Mega Aerodactyl on the switch in

Set Details
========

  • Adamant nature is required due to Sacred Fire and Extreme Speed being event only
  • Pressure is the only ability available at the moment
  • Choice Band is the preferred item for maximum damage, although Life Orb can be used to be able to change moves.
  • Max Attack EVs for maximum damage outsput, while the speed EVs are to outspeed base 86s with a positive nature. Ex: Timid Rotom-H

Usage Tips
========

  • Unless the opponent has a Flash Fire user, spam Sacred Fire. Even things that resist it will not appreciate a Burn.
  • Flash Fire users like Chandelure, Houndoom and Arcanine can cause a lot if problems.
  • Sacred Fire has limited PP, and it's 90 accuracy can be an issue, so keep that in mind.

Team Options
========

  • Powerful Electric or Grass Pokemon like Raikou, Celebi and Shaymin can deal with the bulky Water types
  • Mega Blastoise can threaten out bulky Rock types like Rhyperior, and is a great Rapid Spin team mate
  • A Rapid Spinner or a Defogger is pretty much mandatory if you don't want to be worn down quickly
  • Hazard setters like Rhyperior and Empoleon can make Entei's job easier, since Burn damage and hazard damage wracked together quickly wear down checks.
  • Empoleon can clear hazards as well as deal with Rock types

Other Options
########

  • Assault Vest
  • Special Attacking Calm Mind
  • SunnyBeam
  • Iron Head?

Checks & Counters
########

**M-Ampharos**: RestTalk Mega Ampharos can easily eat up any hit and doesn't fear Sacred Fire burns

**Bulky water types**: Bulky Water types like Vaporeon, Alomomola, and Suicune take Scared Fire very well.

**Entry hazards**: Things like Stealth Rock and Spikes wear down Entei super quickly

**Rhyperior**: Rhyperior takes little to no damage from Sacred Fire, only fearing the Burn, and can even set up Stealth Rock to wear Entei down

**Flash Fire Users**: Flash Fire such as Chandelure can switch in to choice locked Entei and get a boost in the process. They also only fear one move, Stone Edge.

**Curse Snorlax**: Curse Snorlax can freely switch into Entei and can easily set up

**Defensive Arcanine**: Defensive Arcanine, after Intimidate, barely fears Stone Edge and can switch in with little issue.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge killers such as Mega Aerodactyl and Krookodile can easily revenge kill, but fear Sacred Fire burns,

Not QC and you probably had this in mind but what about slashing Flare Blitz before Bulldoze? The only Electric-type that gives Entei real problems is Mega Ampharos, since all are hit by Sacred Fire/Stone Edge. Flare Blitz is more usable for conserving Sacred Fire's limited PP, and in situations where that extra 'oomph' is necessary since it hits harder

I don't see any real reason in it. Sacred Fire's amazing chance of Burn with zero recoil is what makes Entei so fantastic. Also:
252+ Atk Choice Band Entei Bulldoze vs. 132 HP / 0 Def Mega Ampharos: 190-224 (53.6 - 63.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Entei Sacred Fire vs. 132 HP / 0 Def Mega Ampharos: 118-139 (33.3 - 39.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

I'll add Flare Blitz to other options, but that recoil is less than attractive.
Yeah I was implying that Bulldoze is the only thing you'd really be hitting Ampharos-Mega with, especially since you're locking into a 60-BP non-STAB Ground move to do so. Flare Blitz is just more of a "I need to use this move right now in order to succeed" thing and in most situations you aren't gonna click it over Sacred Fire, but it still has its uses when needed

Yeah bulldoze shouldn't be on the set IMO. Flare Blitz is situational but it at least has some uses (Sacred Fire runs out of PP very quickly, in addition to hitting harder)

Check and Counters need to be expanded.

Rhyperior resists everything Entei has and takes 0 damage from them, it only fears Sacred Fire burns but it can setup rocks to wear Entei down. Defensive Arcanine can switch into 3/4 of Entei's moveset effortlessly and it can't get burned. Chandelure is immune to 3/4 of Entei's movesets and it's incredibly threatening with a Flash Fire boost, so I'd say it qualifies as a decent check. Most Snorlax aren't 2HKOed by anything Entei has and Curse Lax can setup if it isn't locked into Stone Edge.

Also Alomomola is 10x better than Vaporeon and Milotic at beating Entei, it should be mentioned.

Sun setters like Ninetales make Sacred Fire's power go through the roof
Drought is banned. Ninetales isn't a good teammate.

**Flash Fire Users**: Flash Fire users like Defensive Arcanine and Chandelure can switch in to choice locked Entei and get a boost in the process. They also only fear one move, Stone Edge.
Defensive Arcanine always runs Intimidate, it doesn't need Flash Fire to deal with Entei's Fire moves anyway.

Also add hazards setters in Team Options. Hazards + Sacred Fire burn is so good at wearing down Entei's checks and counters.

Everything else seems fine so I'm giving you a check, but don't forget to implement the stuff I said. QC 1/3

  • Mention that Stone Edge hits opposing Fire-types, notably defensive Arcanine, Rotom-H and other Entei on the switch
  • The Speed EVs actually don't beat positive natured base 90s
  • It does, however, beat positive natured base 86s by one point (basically Timid Choice Specs Rotom-H and everything under)
  • Mention that even though Flash Fire users are annoying (especially Chandelure as it's immune to Extreme Speed), they can all be hit hard with Stone Edge
  • Mention that Empoleon can also clear hazards and hurt Rock-types (note it OHKOes neither Rhyperior nor Mega Aerodactyl)
  • In OO maybe HP Grass deserves a mention ONLY with Life Orb to hurt Swampert and Rhyperior, though it doesn't reliably 2HKO either
  • Mention Grass-types take out Rhyperior in addition to Water-types
  • Mention Water-types are also useful for taking out Rhyperior
  • Suicune NEEDS to go under bulky Water-types in C&C
  • Curselax actually sets up BEST against Entei locked into Sacred Fire and Flare Blitz
252+ Atk Choice Band Entei Stone Edge vs. 144 HP / 188 Def Snorlax: 182-215 (36.6 - 43.2%) -- 98.6% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Entei Sacred Fire vs. 144 HP / 188 Def Thick Fat Snorlax: 136-162 (27.3 - 32.5%) -- 64.8% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Entei Extreme Speed vs. 144 HP / 188 Def Snorlax: 146-172 (29.3 - 34.6%) -- 99.9% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Entei Flare Blitz vs. 144 HP / 188 Def Thick Fat Snorlax: 165-195 (33.1 - 39.2%) -- 11% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Alright: Fix the thing about outspeeding base 90s (read Ununhexium's post) and specify that Stone Edge is to hit Fire-types, especially Chandelure, and also Mega Aerodactyl for a KO. SunnyBeam definitely deserves a mention in OO as it can destroy many of its normal switchins. Checks and Counters should include some offensive answers as well that outspeed and KO, such as Krookodile and Mega Aerodactyl, but it should be clear that these cannot risk switching into Sacred Fire.

In other options, I would definitely merge Krookodile with Mega Aerodactyl and rename it **Other revenge killers**, as Krookodile does not take Sacred Fires well and Jolly Krook will (almost) always outspeed Entei due to Extremespeed limitations.

other than that it looks good

Done, thanks!

Minor nitpicks, but Sacred Fire is not an event move, it is via level-up (lv 1).
Also, using Flare Blitz also restricts Entei to an Adamant nature, not just Extreme Speed.
Just wanted to clarify for the readers :]

Mega Blastoise and Empoleon can force out Rock-types and clear entry hazards with Rapid Spin and Defog,(AC) respectively respectfully. Entry hazard setters such as Rhyperior can make Entei's job easier, as entry hazard damage and burn damage quickly wear down checks.

Other Options
########

Entei has a somewhat shallow movepool, so it does not have many other decent other options. An Assault Vest is viable to raise Entei's passable special bulk.(remove period),(AC) a specially attacking Calm Mind set can be used to surprise physical walls.(remove period),(AC) and Sunny Day combined with Solar Beam can be used to hit many of Entei's checks and counters.

Checks & Counters

**Mega Ampharos**: RestTalk Mega Ampharos can easily eat up any hit and doesn't fear Sacred Fire burns. It can pivot out or force Entei out with its STAB moves.

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Vaporeon, Alomomola, and Suicune take Scared Fire very well and can PP stall Entei.

**Entry Hazards**: Things like Stealth Rock and Spikes wear down Entei super quickly, and it can't recover from damage they give.

**Bulky Ground-(add dash)types**: Bulky Ground-types such as Krookodile and Rhyperior takes little to no damage from Sacred Fire, only fearing its chance to burn, and can even set up Stealth Rock to wear Entei down.

**Flash Fire Users**: Pokemon with Flash Fire,(RC) such as Chandelure can switch in(remove space)to Choice-(add dash)locked Entei and get a boost in the process. They also only fear Stone Edge.

**Curse Snorlax**: Curse Snorlax can freely switch into Entei and can easily set up.

**Defensive Arcanine**: Defensive Arcanine, after Intimidate, barely fears Stone Edge and can switch into Entei with little problem.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge Killers such as Mega Aerodactyl and Jolly Krookodile can easily revenge kill Entei. However, both fear Sacred Fire burns, so they cannot freely switch in.

Overview
########

Entei received got (Don't make this change) a massive buff when it received Sacred Fire. Sacred Fire is,(AC) one of the most beneficial attacks in the game,(RC) and With. Thanks to Entei's decent Attack stat, Sacred Fire's STAB boost, (RC) and the amazing 50% chance to burn, even supposed checks will have a hard time switching into Entei, factoring in possible entry hazards and burn passive (Don't make this change) damage. Entei's has access to Extreme Speed as well, making makes it a fantastic late-(add dash)game cleaner. Entei also has,(AC) and its solid bulk and a decent base 100 Speed stat of 100, allowing allows it to outspeed common walls. (such as?) However, Entei is plagued with a vulnerability to every form of entry hazard, including the very common Stealth Rock, and has no reliable recovery, making it unable to switch in multiple times. Because Flash Fire is unreleased, Entei must run Pressure, which is a rather mediocre ability unless Entei is using a bulkier set. Its Speed stat, while decent, is also nothing spectacular,(RC) especially (unnecessary removal) considering that Entei is forced to run an Adamant nature to use Extreme Speed and Flare Blitz.

Sacred Fire Choice Band (you could make both of these "SACRED FIRE (Choice Band)" if you like)
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: Sacred Fire
move 2: Flare Blitz
move 3: Stone Edge Extreme Speed
move 4: Extreme Speed Stone Edge (this is the order you have in the Moves section; either change it this way or change it in the Moves section)
ability: Pressure (there's no need for the ability tag when a Pokemon only has one legal ability)
item: Choice Band
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe / 4 Def
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Sacred Fire packs high power with the STAB boost and a good chance to burn chance.(remove period),(AC) while Flare Blitz has more PP and gives the extra power that Sacred Fire does not have, but;(add semicolon) be aware,(AC) however,(AC) that Entei takes recoil damage if it chooses to use Flare Blitz. Extreme Speed is a priority move and can to pick off weakened and faster foes. It also hits Pokemon like such as Mega Beedrill and Crobat after once they have been weakened by taken Stealth Rock damage. Stone Edge targets Flash Fire users and other opposing Fire-type Pokemon such as Arcanine and Chandelure as well as Mega Aerodactyl on the switch.

Set Details
========

An Adamant nature is required, as Extreme Speed and Flare Blitz are event-onlyexclusive moves. Pressure is currently the only ability released. A Choice Band is the preferred item, maximizing Entei's attack, although (unnecessary change) a Life Orb can be used,(RC) for the ability to switch moves but gives Entei slightly less power but while giving Entei the freedom to switch moves. Maximum Attack EVs are for maximum damage output, while the Speed EVs let Entei outspeed everything up to positive-natured base 86 Speed Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

Unless the opponent has a Flash Fire user, Entei's best bet is to spam Sacred Fire. Even checks and counters to Entei don't appreciate the residual damage from a burn combined with the possible damage from entry hazards damage. Flash Fire users cause a problem, so be wary of them. Sacred Fire's 95% accuracy can cause issues, (AC) and it also has limited PP also has limited PP, and its 905% accuracy can cause issues, so Pokemon such as Suicune, which has Pressure, the opponent can easily PP stall Entei's Sacred Fire out its PP with Pokemon such as Suicune. Because of this, you should also be wary of Flash Fire users such as Chandelure. Don't switch Entei in and out often while without clearing Stealth Rock is present on your side of the field, as the combination of Life Orb recoil, if it is being used, and entry hazards wear Entei down extremely fast.

**Bulky Ground-(add dash)types**: Bulky Ground-types such as Krookodile and Rhyperior takes little to no damage from Sacred Fire, only fearing only its chance to burn (you understate this IMO. it's a 50% chance to burn), and can even set up Stealth Rock to wear Entei down.

**Flash Fire Users**: Pokemon with Flash Fire,(RC) such as Chandelure can switch in(remove space)to Choice-(add dash)locked Entei and get a boost in the process, (AC) fearing only Stone Edge from Entei. They also only fear Stone Edge.

**Curse Snorlax**: Curse Snorlax can freely switch into Entei and can easily set up.

**Defensive Arcanine**: Thanks to Intimidate, (AC) defensive Arcanine, after Intimidate, barely fears Stone Edge and can switch into Entei with little problem, (AC) barely fearing even Stone Edge.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge Killers Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Jolly Krookodile can easily revenge kill Entei. However, both fear Sacred Fire burns, so they cannot freely switch in.
