As far as I can tell no teams are doing dedicated try-outs; join the IRC channels listed in the OP on synirc and ask around for a try-out in your desired tier. Some captains encourage people to just play each other and send them replays, while others have been running try-outs personally. Just ask around on IRC and someone will tell you.
