Introduction
A brand new RoA competition where players will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals (and points) will start soon.
Players will represent either of two teams: Old World (Africa, Europe, Asia, Oceania) or New World (North and South America). The teams will compete with each other in 5 individual tournaments and 1 All Stars (team) series.
Each individual tournament will be 16 player, best of 3 single elimination, and thus have 4 rounds. They'll be one tournament in each old gen OU, so 1x RBY OU, GSC OU, ADV OU, DPP OU and BW OU tournaments.
In these tournaments, there'll be 8 players (+3 subs) picked by Old World and the same number picked by New World. Both selections will be randomized, but a player from Old World will always compete versus a player from New World in the first round.
Making it to round 3 (the semi-final stage) will give you the possibility of competing for a medal, i.e. those who win the semi-final compete for gold (the loser gets silver), while those who lose the semi-final compete for bronze.
The medals will be converted into points also, where gold = 3, silver = 2 and bronze = 1 point respectively for a team that is represented by the medal winning player.
The conversion into points will be necessary to determine whether Old World or New World wins the olympics.
In the All Stars series, players will compete in RoA PL-style format, with 2x RBY OU, GSC OU, ADV OU, DPP OU and BW OU being picked (10 players + 4 subs) to face off against each other. Each individual match win in this team series will earn a further point to the team, so will be worth the same as a bronze medal.
Victory RoAd will also be making a return - a gym challenge vs RBY, GSC, ADV, DPP & BW OU leaders!
P.S. Managers and assistant managers will be allowed to compete in all competitions.
